All the feels
Nick and I got married at Thistle Hill Ranch on October 2nd 2020. We, like many other engaged couples had our “dream wedding” canceled due to Covid-19. We are originally from Michigan and they are going about things differently than we are here in Texas so our wedding was cancelled not even once, but twice. With that being said Nick and I knew that we still wanted to marry each other but couldn’t quite figure out how to make it special on a budget since all of our family is back home in Michigan. We considered court after looking at tons of overpriced elopement packages because spending a lot of money on wedding with no one coming seemed insane but then I came across Thistle hill. My heart like literally jumped out of my chest at how beautiful the venue looked online and the two hour price fit right into our budget! I called right away and booked with them. Fast forward to our wedding day... we live in Keller so Nick and I spent the night at the Hilton in town and drove to the venue in the morning. I had my big fluffy wedding dress on, he had on his tux and everything about that morning was so not your typical wedding day feels. We had no family or friends there except my mother coming to help with our kids, we stayed the night the night before when you are supposed to sleep separate, he helped me into my wedding dressy hat morning lol... I am saying all of this to say that although it was special to us, it just didn’t have the same full on wedding feel but when we stepped out of the car and we saw the chapel and Osage hall... that was the moment that I could care less who was there or what our original plan was. I had all the wedding day feels and it literally just felt “right” as if this was our plan the entire time! Jennifer and Glen took care of the music for us while I walked down the aisle, Glen put up the flowers we bought on the arch for us in the chapel, their boys were so sweet and they brought us all waters during our pictures! Jennifer got some of my most cherished pictures of a butterfly landing on me and my oldest son looking at me in awe and our whole family with the cows! She fluffed and positioned my dress perfectly for our photos, while my mom chased the kids, they switched and Jen held and entertained the kids. She fixed my veil before I walked down the aisle, they went so above and beyond and I cannot put into words how absolutely wonderful our wedding day was thanks to Jen and Glen. They are truly good, caring people and you can tell how much love and passion Jen has put into this venue. It is absolutely gorgeous and if you are considering using Thistle Hill Ranch, DO IT!!Thistle Hill Estate's reply:

My fiancé proposed to me at Thistle Hill Ranch in their Secret Garden behind their Chapel! It was lovely and everything I could have ever wanted. Glen and Jennifer were wonderful and super helpful in the planning of the engagement. The property is absolutely gorgeous and has many different unique areas to capture beautiful pictures! Anyone who is looking for a perfect place to get engaged or married, Thistle Hill Ranch knocks it out of the park. I would highly recommend them to everyone!Thistle Hill Estate's reply:
