She was previously working with "A Touch of Spring" and recently bought the wedding flower business from them to start her own company. So although there aren't many reviews yet, she has lots of experience. We planned our wedding from out of town and we were working on a tight budget. Sidnee made this process easy and was very responsive to emails. She was able to take the pictures I sent of the flowers I loved to re-create affordable alternatives for us. We loved the look of the wedding flowers; they were a great addition to the day! I would definitely recommend working with Thyme Hill Designs. -

After a long search for a florist that puts together beautiful quality arrangements, but wouldn't cost a fortune, I'm so glad we found Sidnee at Thyme Hill! We got married at Castle Farms this past summer and Sidnee took everything that I sent her and that we discussed and turned it into reality! Because the venue itself is so stunning, I wanted flowers that were simple and elegant to complement it (white, light pink and ivory color scheme). She delivered just that and I especially loved the geometric candle centerpieces and the decorative flowers for our cake. The one thing I was nervous about was the ceremony flower arch for the Knight's Courtyard because it was important to me but I couldn't find a picture of exactly what I wanted, but Sidnee nailed it just through our conversations. No joke, it made the backdrop of our ceremony and family pictures so beautiful!! Sidnee is extremely responsive, friendly and is a true artist. She also was able to accommodate several last minute requests with no issue, which I appreciated! She knows her way around Castle Farms so that gave me piece of mind as well. Overall, I cannot say enough great things about Sidnee and we highly recommend her!! -

Lesli Sent on 10/09/2018Sidnee makes the most beautiful arrangements I've ever seen. She is so knowledgeable, helpful and can make your vision a reality with her experience. She is extremely professional and her response time to questions is unrivaled! Wedding floral can be very intimidating, but Sidnee walked us through the entire process helping with suggestions and with what we needed. I would always return to her shop for any floral needs!!

User1771756 Sent on 08/19/2014If a newly engaged couple asked me to recommend only one vendor from my wedding I would easily have chosen Sidnee! Thyme Hill is INCREDIBLE! Sidnee was so attentive and responsive and kind. And affordable! As a little girl the one thing I always dreamed about was my wedding flowers and Sidnee far exceeded my visions.
I emailed SIdnee pretty frequently and she was responsive and totally understood my ideas!
I would highly recommend Thyme Hill! -
User1394797 Sent on 10/23/2013Sidnee was just fantastic working with all our requests! She is very organized and I never worried for a second about the flowers. I knew they would look great--and they did! We received numerous complements on them and they lasted for many days after! I sent a few images of my ideas and she put everything together just as I envisioned. She was very helpful giving suggestions on things i was unsure about and listed everything out for me in detail so there were no issues and ensured we were on the same page with everything. She stood by everything we discussed a year prior and even threw in some things at no charge! She also allowed us to rent vases which was a huge savings! The day of, her staff delivered and then picked up everything right after so we had no worries. We were very happy with Thyme Hill Designs! -
Kendall Sent on 11/12/2017When looking for floral proposals and services, I was completely naive about the true cost of wedding flower services, and wasn't sure if we would be able to find anything that would fit within our budget and also cover everything we needed for our wedding. Upon the recommendation of Castle Farms, our wedding venue, we contacted Sidnee Barrett with Thyme Hill Designs. I was drawn to Sidnee's wonderful personality and friendliness, and connected with her again at the Castle Farm wedding expo where I was able to see her floral arrangement examples and book her for our wedding. Sidnee is personable, extremely flexible with your wishes and desires, and works hard to create a custom look for your wedding. I expressed an interest in having earthy florals, lots of greenery and moss for our reception tables, and deep rich colors for our October wedding this year. Sidnee put together a proposal for our ceremony chuppah decor, bouquets, boutineers, corsages, tabletop decor, and venue decor that was very professional and captured exactly what I had envisioned. She used beautiful natural elements like wheat, feathers, and dried flowers to compliment our florals and they were all complimentary of our overall style. After seeing our first proposal, Sidnee worked with me to bring the florals into our target budget and she has got to be one of the most affordable wedding florist in the Northern Michigan wedding industry. As noted on a previous review, response times vary with Sidnee because she is the sole owner/operator of her business, but she is more than willing to have phone calls and in person meetings with you. Be sure to note that florists often provide candlesticks as part of their tabletop decor, so be sure to finalize this with your florist! We appreciated Sidnee's genuine excitement for our wedding day and while the moments we had to enjoy our flowers was fleeting, we have loved looking through photos of them since our wedding! Highly recommend!

Elizabeth Sent on 08/07/2018Sidnee is amazing! So kind, patient and dependable. My flowers were beautiful!! I loved that she used a variety of flowers in our centerpieces. My bouquet & the bridesmaids bouquets were probably to most beautiful I have ever seen in my life. They were big and so timeless. My ONLY issue was the arch that we wanted for our Ceremony. It was supposed to be a large arrangement of flowers and greenery at the top of the arch that would later be moved to our backdrop behind my sweetheart table. The arrangement was really small & did not hold up for the ceremony, so it ended up on the floor of my stage. It looked beautiful there but it was really bare in the areas where it was meant to be and that really sucked! She did say that she would refund us for that arrangement & that is very kind! I would definitely hire Sidnee every time. She is very talented!

Poor experience
The original flowers I wanted (planned 2 years ahead) she couldn’t get the week before my wedding. I had to change my vision with limited options. We came to an agreement on a second arrangement type with pink and white roses- somehow I got orange. Super disappointed and very, very sad. You don’t get a redo. Don’t make the same mistake as me. I attached a photo of my second choice flowers and what I got. NOT worth 2k+Thyme Hill Designs's reply:
Your "original" flowers were some pictures of white flowers and greenery (bridal bouquet) and smaller varied bouquets with shades of dusty rose and taupe and ivory. I quoted those bouquets on June 2020 to you. You sent your deposit and contract back on July 31st, 2020. We did not speak again until July 8th 2021 (almost a year later) when you were requesting a meeting to go over the flowers. We were not able to connect and I asked in you in my email dated July 9th 2021 if you were going with the same florals as your original pictures, I asked if you had any new ideas to please send them to me. You did not send anything until July 28th with ALL NEW DESIGNS AND COLORS. Toffee and Ivory, no pink what so ever. I did not change anything Tori....YOU made the change! I emailed you immediately with questions and did not hear back from you for another 2 1/2 weeks. By this time we're only 5 weeks away from your wedding and we needed to nail down choices ASAP due to the flower shortages we have been experiencing this year. I found out on September 9th that we would not be able to secure toffee roses for you so we planned to use some natural elements in the same color and add more of the sahara roses in. I was able at the last minute to secure some roses that most definitely were NOT orange but a rust/brown shade and added a few where we could to bring in the original shade you were looking for. I am sorry that you were so disappointed in everything Tori. I truly did everything in my power along with my suppliers to try and get you what you wanted with less than a month to go before the wedding. I've also included pictures and I stand by the work that we did for you Tori. -
