    Fabulous Cake

We had and idea of what we wanted the cake to look like. The chef nailed it, it was beautiful, and utilized live flowers. The cake tasted as good as it looked. He was easy to work with and very accommodating. We were very pleased!!

We used Tout de Sweet for our wedding cake and we are so happy that we made this choice! Jerome was super willing to work with us on replicating the US Capitol Dome as our wedding cake with a bottom layer in the shape of a flag (red, white, and blue) because our wedding day was on flag day. Jerome was able to do all of these requests and his company delivered the cake ontime, in perfect condition, and it was exactly as we pictured it in design and in amazing taste! My husband and I are both ice cream cake people but after tasting Jerome's cakes, he made us want to be cake people! Highly recommend this company for your wedding cake, treats, etc. They also offer macaroons as favors but we had already purchased jars, etc. for our large candy table/bar we had otherwise we would have gotten these too! VERY happy with our decision. Go to Tout De Sweet and try! He also gave us all of the left-overs from our three LARGE cakes for the tasting. YUM!

We purchased macarons from tout de sweet for our wedding (pistachio and lavender). They were absolutely delicious and looked amazing. All of our guests loved the favors and we got tons of compliments on them. Best of all it didn't break the bank. I felt the price was more than reasonable. (we got a discount for getting more than 100 favors)

After hours spent researching and contacting bakeries in the DC-VA-MD area that produce french macarons, I was so happy to find Tout de Sweet to provide macarons as the favors at my recent wedding with 100+ guests. I contacted at least five bakeries in the area, and Jerome Collard (owner/baker of Tout de Sweet) provided a price that was 2/3 the price of what other local bakeries could offer. The process of ordering and picking up the macarons in Bethesda was very stressfree, and the macarons were just incredible. We offered our guests boxes with a lavender and vanilla bean macaron- the vanilla bean macaron, however simple, was a real showstopper- creamy, delicious, with the most incredible buttercream filling. Additionally, Jerome was very pleasant and easy to work with.

When we first started thinking about our wedding cake, we knew we wanted a French cake, a Croquembouche, as well as a traditional wedding cake. Based on our web search, we only found a couple options for vendors who made the Croquembouche – one option being Tout de Sweet. We had heard good things about Tout de Sweet and the head chef/owner, Jerome, and after we met him and had our tasting we knew we had gone to the right place.

The day of the wedding, Jerome was there when they delivered the cakes and assembled them so they looked perfect! Our guests really enjoyed both cakes. The banquet manager for our venue said that usually a decent about of the dessert gets sent back uneaten but not for our cakes! All of our cakes were eaten and plates were cleared!

Instead of keeping the top tier of the cake, we had decided to go back to Tout de Sweet every year on our anniversary for a cake.

Super delicious cakes! Very beautiful. Great pastry chef! Great price! So helpful and so good. Chef Colin and his wife opened their french bakery in Bethesda within the past year. They make delicious pastries and do cakes for orders. I go back regularly. Totally recommend for wedding cakes!

Place is ok but it has its shortcomings

I got a cake and a single espresso and gave a tip. When wakling out the door slipped in my hand and I dropped the coffee cup w my coffee. I asked if they could make another one. They smiled and made one. I even said how nice they are and my friend said this is their business, we mentioned live next door they want us back obviously. And in any case this is quite normal…I thought this is still nice and they made me feel good. To my surpsise this afternoon I saw that I was charged for the second espresso :)) while on one hand I understand why it makes sense , on the other hand I am surprised why they would let a potential customer go if they could have kept him happy with one complimentary espresso :)))

    Wouldn't Advise Supporting this Business

While the actual employees are great, the managers of Tout de Sweet abuse their staff and I was laid off after 20+ hours of work without pay. I would not give this establishment service, and would encourage anyone considering to check out the Fresh Baguette in Bethesda (a few minutes away and with a similar vibe- and better food). The management in general is just terrible, and it truly is a shame how much they take advantage of their employees. If you care about the ethics of a business, I would strongly advise checking out the dozens of better places all around Bethesda. It's worth your time.
