  Most Wonderful Photographer Duo

  Kim and Travis were nothing short of wonderful throughout both our engagement shoot and wedding day. They were resourceful (it rained!) and discreet - getting beautiful genuine shots of our families, while guiding us through some beautiful shots for our portraits. And the photos truly show just how exceptional they are at their craft. Can't say enough positive things about them. I'd work with them again in a heartbeat.

  Engagement photos we will always cherish!

  One of the best photographers I have ever worked with! We worked with Calen Rose for our engagement photos and it was sincerely such an amazing experience. My fiancee' was nervous and they made her feel so comfortable as well as making us feel so welcomed in their studio. They had concepts and included our ideas as well to make beautiful photos we now have framed in our home! I would work with them again in a heartbeat! What are you waiting for?! BOOK WITH THEM NOW!

  Excellent Photographer -- Highly Recommend

  Calen Rose is fantastic. My family has worked with Travis and team on several occasions including a 30th birthday party and an engagement party (both ~150 attendees). Travis and his team are EXCELLENT in every respect:
  
  1) the photos are exceptional--throughout the evening, Travis and team successfully capture the entire room and make sure all attendees are photographed. Most importantly, Travis blends into the crowd and does not disrupt the flow at all, while still capturing the key moments
  
  2) great attitude--particularly when it comes to organizing large crowds / family, Travis was extremely patient, flexible, and understanding. His team has a raw talent for capturing the moments with creative flair (i.e., not standard, cliche shots)
  
  3) terrific service--the team processes the photos expeditiously and sends the final set within a matter of weeks
  
  4) affordable--prices are in-line with the market. Perhaps more importantly, the turnaround time, quality of work, and pleasure of working with Travis and team make the price well worth it!
  
  I would highly recommend working with Calen Rose. They are on the top of my list for any event, big or small, where we need a photographer. Also, although our contract was technically for a set period of time, the team was willing to stay a little bit extra to make sure they caught the end of the party--truly top notch.

  A Timeless Aesthetic, Logistical Expertise, and a Calming Presence

  Travis and Kim are an out-of-this-world team! We got married at the Bronx Zoo on July 27, 2019, and we did have a few hiccups that we dealt with the day of, which they handled with aplomb. First, we did some "getting ready" photos at our hotel in LIC, Queens. The lighting and candid, editorial nature of these shots truly showcases Travis and Kim's expertise. Next, we encountered some transportation issues getting from the hotel to our first look location- 10 minutes away on the Queens waterfront. Travis and Kim came up with a quick solution, and also suggested that I bring along one of my bridesmaids if we wanted some additional assistance. As it was windy on the waterfront, I was so glad that I brought her along (she was a Production Assistant in a former life) so that she could help with my dress and allow Travis and Kim to get as many photos of me and my now-husband as possible. When we got to the Zoo, Travis and Kim showed a perfect ability to balance the goal of executing the photography timeline for the day with the need to be flexible in the moment while dealing with such issues as pinching shoes, delayed family members, and the like. We got one of a kind photos with gorillas, flamingos, giraffes, and dinosaurs (animatronic, sadly not real....) thanks to their expertise (obviously, we highly recommend the Bronx Zoo as a venue as well). Travis and Kim were only supposed to stay at the event until a particular time, but due to our speeches going overtime, they ended up graciously staying later than planned so as to make sure to get shots of the dancing (one of our wedding guests made sure to remark of how the photographers seamlessly navigated their way around the dance floor- did I mention that Travis and Kim are both ex professional dancers?). It was important to us to hire photographers that understood artistry, motion, and me and my husband's personalities, and these two most definitely fit the bill. We received our "sneak peek" and our wedding photos in a timely manner- my only regret is that I didn't post this review for them sooner!

  Timeless, Editorial, and Effortless Wedding Photography

  Kimberly and Travis are an outstanding, talented team! They photographed our wedding in August 2018.
  Our wedding ceremony was on a sailboat in New York Harbor and they approached the non-traditional challenge with ease and flexibility. Our photos are timeless, editorial, and effortless.
  
  We could not be more grateful to them for capturing both us and our guests on that special day. They were clear, helpful with direction, but also let us be us. We could not love our wedding photos more!

  Family Photo Shoot

  I highly recommend Travis and his team. He was responsive via email and phone and flexible about our shoot date which had to be rescheduled at least once due to weather. He has a creative eye and was able to capture the spirit of my family. He put all of us at ease including my two young children which is a complicated task. He has sophisticated, stylish taste and he was both photographer and art director for us. We will treasure the family album he created for us forever.

  Amazing wedding photographers

  Travis and Kim were so wonderful to work with. They were communicative and responsive during the months/weeks/days/hours leading up to the big day. They arrived early, wanted to hear our vision and desires, and communicated their suggestions for making our dream come true. Travis and Kim made everyone feel completely at ease, and the photographs let everyone's personalities and spirit shine through! They are absolutely amazing at snapping all the best candid photographs, especially on the dance floor! They even hiked through the woods in the mist with us to get a truly fairytale-like photograph that is now hanging in our living room. My husband and I constantly get compliments on our wedding photographs and we recommend Travis and Kim without hesitation. We could not be happier with our wedding photographs, and feel so lucky to have had them as our photographers!

  Travis is terrific and we recommend him very highly! He took phenomenal shots at our wedding, and required very little direction. He jumped right into the fray and took wonderful shot after wonderful shot. Travis is very polite, a super-nice guy and an absolute joy to work with. If I could give him 6 stars, I would. :-)

  Made us feel at ease

  We were not sure what to expect from a wedding shoot having never had any formal pictures taken before, and Travis made us feel totally at ease and did a great job mixing traditional poses and more artistic shots which meant there were some prints to satisfy everybody.

  We were searching for a photographer with soul. Someone who could provide exceptional memories for a once-in-a-lifetime event: our wedding. Someone capable of capturing every poignant moment with exceptional creativity and sensitivity. After checking out the beautiful work on Travis's site, it was immediately obvious that we had found exactly that person. We decided to first hire Travis for a 2-hour photo shoot here at our apartment. He did not disappoint in the slightest. His work far surpassed all that we had been dreaming of. Not just in photographic quality, but in the way he was able to capture every subtle expression of the love and adoration in our eyes. Even just the quiet moments — as if we had been here at home all by ourselves. It was pretty amazing. We also found out that Travis is down to earth, easygoing and a sheer delight to work with. From the very first moment, he made my fiancée/now wife and myself feel totally relaxed and at ease — which in turn led to our becoming completely comfortable, natural and without the slightest feeling of awkwardness. Hiring Travis — first for this private 2-hour photo shoot, and then for a 7-hour gig at our wedding — proved to be one of the very best decisions of our lives. His work, simply put, is superb — with surprisingly reasonable rates for such remarkable quality. One thing of note is that Travis’s photographic style leans towards natural light whenever possible; he uses flash only sparingly — giving everything a more natural, less posed and flash-in-your-face look. And an occasional shot rendered in dramatic B&W further sets his work apart from the mundane. Definitely not your average photographer, Travis's photographs will touch you, move you, make you cry, make you laugh and then smile with joy. His pictures capture and preserve real human emotions in an exceptional and unforgettable way. Travis Magee is a gem and a truly outstanding photographic artist. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

  My wife and I love the tiny wedding ceremony photos in New York City Clerk, Grand Central and Rockefeller Centre, which Travis provided us. Travis is extremely welcoming and professional. Strongly recommend him to all the lovers! He caught numerous our tiny expressions and make the photos really beautiful and natural. Don't hesitate to contact him if you want your love expressed in the photos, fresh and alive.

  We were looking for candid and natural photographs that till captured the people and moments we wanted and that is exactly what Travis gave to us. He was prompt, professional and the photos came exactly when he said they would (approx 4 weeks later). We couldn't have asked for a better team to capture the day.

  My mom and I hired Travis for my dad's surprise 60th birthday party at Ramscale Studio. Travis was extremely professional, easy to work with and took great photos.
