I fell in love with Tudor Place (Bowling Green) from the moment I saw a picture on Instagram. It was a dream come true to have our wedding at this enchanting venue. It's an ideal setting for an intimate and charming celebration. Tudor Place made our wedding day unforgettable, and Emma’s professionalism and expertise made our experience even more remarkable. Her dedication to making our day perfect shone through in her attention to detail and prompt communication. We highly recommend Tudor Place if you're looking for a beautiful and intimate wedding venue with a responsive and dedicated team.

The grounds, houses, and options for ceremony and reception at the Tudor Place are amazing. Our guests, both local and out of town, could not believe the beautiful venue we found right in the heart of Georgetown.

She was communicative, thorough, and so accommodating amidst the fluctuating Covid restrictions this spring. Made our COVID wedding awesome

We knew we wanted to get married at Tudor Place upon our first visit. The gardens were so beautiful and they had multiple spaces we could use for our reception. We decided to use the East Lawn for a 50 person cocktail reception and Amy, the events manager, was so helpful in the planning process.

Tudor Place is located in the heart of Georgetown and convenient to many churches and hotels. We had a great planning experience and would recommend to anyone planning an event.

We loved having our initiate 10 guest wedding at Tudor Place. The whole process was very easy. We did a walk through to see locations and decided on the beautiful Bowling Green. Since we had a November wedding, we also added on the ability to have the Dower House to escape the cold. Amy was very responsive and great to work with. Hillary was also very helpful on the day of our wedding and was very patient with our late decision of indoor or outdoor ceremony. Best of all, the garden was a gorgeous setting for our photos and ceremony. It feels like you’re not in the city at all! We’re so happy we decided to have our wedding at Tudor Place.

This venue is beautiful. They were very accommodating to our needs, super easy to work with and our guests loved walking the gardens prior to the ceremony.

We selected the "elopement package" at Tudor Place for the location of our Pop Up wedding. From the moment we contacted them, Michaela made everything about the process easy. Our group grew from 6 to 16 - not a problem.
Add some chairs - done. Bluetooth music speaker - sure thing. Bring in champagne for a toast - absolutely. The location is breathtaking, an oasis in the middle of Georgetown. I strongly recommend.

We had our wedding on a Friday afternoon in early June in the Bowling Green garden at Tudor Place. We visited about three months ahead of time for a tour and to book the space, and they still had availability! Tudor Place has very affordable wedding packages for small wedding ceremonies, and their space is truly stunning. Our wedding was very intimate - just us, 13 guests and the officiant - and the Bowling Green was the perfect spot for the ceremony. We had our ceremony after business hours, so we also had the entire space to ourselves!

Michaela, the events coordinator, was fabulous from day one. She suggested vendors for us, helped us with the vendor walk-through, and just made everything so stress-free. We booked the elopement package (for ceremonies under 20 guests) and added on chairs and an extra hour of photography.

Another huge advantage of Tudor Place for someone interested in an outdoor wedding is that they have a rain location, which saved us a lot of stress. (Although the weather was perfect on our wedding day, so it wasn't an issue).

My husband and I had a wonderful experience getting married at Tudor Place. Our ceremony with 30 guests took place in late May in the Bowling Green section of their gardens. It is a beautiful and intimate setting. The space could have accommodated many more but we wanted a small ceremony with close family and friends. We opted for the additional photography time so that we could fully utilize the gorgeous gardens. We visited at different times leading up to the wedding and the place looks beautiful throughout the year with different flowers blooming. They have several packages to accommodate most budgets. Working with the staff at Tudor Place, specifically Michaela, was easy. Michaela was such a great help! We would highly recommend a wedding or event there and feel lucky to have found the gem in Georgetown.

Mi esposo y yo tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa al casarnos en Tudor Place. Nuestra ceremonia con aproximadamente 30 invitados tuvo lugar en la sección de Bowling Green de sus jardines. Tudor Place was such a fantastic venue to hold our intimate wedding ceremony, and a very reasonable rate for small groups in a prime spot in Georgetown! The gardens are beautiful and we lucked out with the weather for a fantastic day. We opted to get married in Bowling Green which was so picturesque - our guests compared it to being in a painting! We worked with Michaela who was so wonderful and accommodating. She was on top of coordinating everything on the day of, and leading up to the day when we thought we would have thunderstorms to contend with, she was great at talking through different rain options and offered to set up multiple sites so we could wait as long as possible to decide if needed. You definitely won't regret having your wedding at Tudor Place!

I absolutely loved my wedding at Tudor Place. We had a small wedding with just family in January. Michaela was a huge help with our wedding by allowing us to come with our photographer to do a walkthrough. We had the whole Dower House to ourselves and we brought our own flowers to make it our own. Our family could not stop raving about how amazing everything was. This location was perfect for our small, intimate wedding and I would recommend it to everyone!

We had a very small wedding, for our immediate family, and were looking for an amazing outdoor space, with an intimate ceremony space and gorgeous grounds for photos - Tudor Place popped across my radar, and I'm so glad it did! Michaela was so wonderful to work with - she rearranged her schedule to accommodate showing us the space, and handled all of my questions and emails quickly. Not only did she make the wedding planning a breeze, but she kept me calm with back up plan upon back up plan when Hurricane Florence appeared to be heading our way the weekend of our wedding. She set up our ceremony space both outside and inside, to let us wait and make a decision right up until the last minute. I would highly recommend Tudor Place to anyone!

Tudor was absolutely beautiful and the staff were so helpful and accommodating. We loved the place and the help in making our day how we wanted. The grounds added a variety of backdrops for our wedding photos and we appreciated the tour for our guests while we took more photos.

We had a 20-guest wedding with a 15-minute ceremony followed by a 45-minute period with photos and tours of the grounds. We booked the location for 90 minutes to have some buffer time. Courtney was very easy to work with from the beginning of the process to the very end. She was very prompt with her emails and phone calls, but at the same time, didn't make me feel pressured to rush. We were able to have a beautiful ceremony without any stress because of the Tudor Place staff. We're so thankful to have found this gem during our wedding planning process, and we'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a small yet unforgettable wedding!

Could not have asked for more from Tudor Place and from Courtney Bryce, the events manager there. She was basically the day-of coordinator for our wedding, which we for some reason did not think would need until we realized how much she was doing. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, the place is a bargain to rent (considering other venues in D.C. proper), and Ms Bryce is super helpful and sweet.

Tudor place was a dream! We had our wedding there and are so grateful to the lovely staff who made our experience absolutely flawless and wonderful. Courtney and the rest of the staff were so flexible, kind, and thorough. We absolutely loved working with Courtney. The venue is beautiful and well maintained. It's nice to have a garden option in the city and we were in love with Georgetown. Also, the venue is walking distance to M street...fun for guests, especially those from out of town. As soon as we visited Tudor Place, we decided to have our Memorial Day weekend wedding in the gardens there. They are spectacular! And on a hot May day, the lush greens and beautiful flowers really added to our occasion. Elizabeth Killian and Hillary Rothberg did an excellent and professional job helping with the planning and day of coordination with good suggestions for how to set things up, e.g., for our musicians etc. They were very relaxed throughout the whole process and so we were too and everything went smoothly. We had 45 guests and with a late afternoon wedding, the gardens were closed to the public so we had the place to ourselves. We held the ceremony at the Bowling Green Garden, which was set up with the Tudor Place white folding chairs exactly as we requested. With the gorgeous gardens, we did not need any additional decor or flowers so everything was very simple - and it kept costs down. We had welcome drinks near the ceremony site and the only challenge was that on such a hot day we could have done with a bit more shade! We held the post-ceremony drinks on the spectacular South Lawn, which everyone loved - including our small guests who could run around and play on the grass. There was plenty of shade here and space to spread out. As our photographer, Jennifer Cody @ egomedia photography, can attest, Tudor Place provides a variety of great locations for intimate or group photos and we have some beautiful images from the day. Other bonuses - for our small wedding, Tudor Place's Dower House served as the rain back-up location (that luckily we did not need), and the gift shop was a source of beautifully decorated envelopes of heirloom seeds from the gardens to put in our guest welcome bags! I cannot imagine any venue suiting our wedding better. Thank you to all at Tudor Place!

The Tudor House gets five stars from start to finish. First, the backdrops are amazing. Picture options are literally endless – and varied! Between the different gardens, houses, and green spaces, you will not want for stunning pictures. Second, the Tudor House is incredibly convenient. Set off the main streets of bustling Georgetown, you have the accessibility of stores, restaurants, bridal parlors, hotels, and of course, the waterfront. However, what you don’t have are the city sounds that could overwhelm an intimate ceremony and reception. Our wedding felt like an oasis inside of the big city. Third, the Tudor House staff (Amy!) is incredibly professional, kind, and fun. Amy went the extra mile to make sure our big day was perfect and stress-free. Fourth, what a beautiful little piece of history that we were able to experience and bring to life on our big day. If you’re looking for a garden oasis – look no further.

We had a small wedding of 75 people on the South Lawn of Tudor Place. B/c it was fall, the foliage was gorgeous! & Jeralynn Graham was extremely helpful!

We absolutely loved the grounds at Tudor Place! Jeralynn, the Event Coordinator, was helpful in all aspects of the planning and warmly greeted everyone the day of the wedding. This property is a gem in Washington DC, and we highly recommend it if you are looking for a beautiful and elegant outdoor venue!!

We knew we wanted and outdoor wedding, and Tudor Place gave the exact aesthetic we were looking for! We hosted a 30 minute ceremony and a cocktail hour at Tudor Place, and had our reception at another location. The best things about this venue is that 1) they have various packages, making it affordable, especially if you’re having a small wedding; and 2) there are multiple gorgeous locations on the property you can host the ceremony (including an indoor backup option if there is bad weather). All or our guests —most of whom had never heard of Tudor Place despite living in the area—were very impressed with the gardens at Tudor Place. We are thrilled we chose Tudor Place for our wedding and highly recommend it to other couples looking for an outdoor wedding venue in the DC area.
