  Attention to detail!

  Working with this venue was a breath of fresh air from day 1. For someone who didn't have so much time in Oklahoma, I was really tempted to go with a hotel to make planning easier. However, I must say, THS made planning easy. (In general, I must say for venue seekers: 1st impression should really count! If it's not a good 1st impression, don't bother. )The staff, especially Cristen, was very welcoming from day 1, and she really made it easy to plan through major hurdles especially doing this all remotely from a different state. I ended up choosing my caterer through their suggestion and I was thoroughly impressed. Usually, when venues have "preferred" or "recommended" vendors, you know they are going to be pricey, but THS is reasonable and I love how they have tiered pricing to fit the budget and needs of organizers. She also gave some practical suggestions about the event organization and how the event can flow, and for someone who didn't have an event coordinator, this was really valuable. I am so grateful for the passion of the THS team!

  The Tulsa Historical Society was an absolute lifesaver when it came to our wedding. We were looking for a relatively inexpensive wedding venue that already had a lot of charm and wouldn't need too much extra decorating. We found it here. The art deco style of the building was a perfect backdrop for our wedding, and Janet (the venue coordinator) was great. She really knows her stuff and is more than willing to share any information she has accumulated over the years. They don't have any established contracts with anyone so you can bring in whomever you would like. The only thing I would note to people who are looking to use it for a wedding is that you don't have access to the Travis Mansion Room until 2:00PM and the Hall of Fame Room until 4:00PM(the museum is still open). This means you really can only use it for an evening wedding. If that's what you're going for though it's an amazing space with a very helpful staff and I highly recommend it.

  The Tulsa Historical Society is a perfect place for a reception! It's a beautiful space and is a very reasonble cost. Everyone who came to our wedding commented on how perfect the Tutlsa Historical Society was for the event.

  Beautiful venue for a wedding! We had our ceremony outside in front of the fountain and reception inside the Travis mansion. Only complaint is that when we booked our wedding (over a year in advance), they told us no one had yet booked the garden center next door & that when someone did, they would make sure to stagger the times so that the weddings weren't going on at the same time. Well, they were staggered by about 5 minutes so in the middle of our ceremony there were loud cheers from the other wedding! Very disappointed in that. Otherwise, everything else went smoothly & they were very accommodating.
