  Jay was an amazing officiant!!! We met with him several months before our wedding and loved his energy. He communicates quickly via email and has a great sense of humor to take away any pre-wedding or wedding day jitters! We definitely reccommend Jay to officiate your wedding!

  Rev. Jay McNeal was an absolute rock star from start to finish. From our first meeting, he wanted to understand us as individuals and a s a couple and worked very hard to create a ceremony which reflected the union into which we were entering. The result was a marriage ceremony which was unique, incredibly special, and which blew away both us and our guests. He was open to incorporating innovative ceremonial ideas into our service (such as hand wrapping and ring warming), and was adept at writing a service which reflected our unique combination of spirituality and religious beliefs. He met with us as often as needed, was responsive each time we contacted him, and was completely dedicated to ensuring that our marriage was a beautiful experience. It was also a beautiful experience to work with HIM! Finally, he did an amazing job at corralling all of our wedding party to conduct an efficient and well structured rehearsal. He even bonded with our flower girls and ring bearer to ensure that they would walk down the aisle to him. I cannot offer a higher recommendation of Rev. Jay, and would strongly recommend him to any couple who wants a quality, individualized, and memorable ceremony. You will not find a better officiant anywhere. Oh, and one more thing -- his voice is perfect for public speaking. He isn't overly loud, but neither is he too quiet. He uses great emphasis and knows just when to throw in humor. I know this sounds superficial, but, when you consider that your guests will be listening to your officiant speak for at least 20 minutes straight, the verbal quality and tone is important!!! I am not generally effusive with reviews, but, Rev. Jay was an absolutely incredible provider, and we cannot say enough about him.

  Jay from Clergy for Hire was our wedding officiant, and we could not have asked for a better one! He was incredibly helpful, professional, and kind throughout the process. My husband and I were both so confident that our rehearsal and wedding would run smoothly thanks to Jay's knowledge and experience. He really took the time to get to know us as a couple, which meant a lot. I seriously cannot stress enough how happy we are with our decision to hire him!!! :)

  Jay was amazing! My [now] husband and I really wanted one of our closest friends to marry us during the ceremony, but the requirements that VA wanted him to meet in order to do this were too outlandish. So we decided to have a private ceremony in the morning (myself, my MIL, and our munchkin) but we needed to find someone who was willing to do it. Most places that I contacted wanted to charge the full package pricing for just a quick 15 minute ceremony. That was well out of our budget. But, within the hour of sending my email request for information, Jay contacted me, ready to help us out in any way he could. He was flexible when it came to pricing, and he was so excited about that he put something together in a couple of days. It was beautiful and meaningful and no one could have done it better.

  Jay is amazing! We wanted to be legally married in VA before heading to Mexico for our destination wedding. When I contacted the Henrico courthouse and found out there was no sort of justice of the peace service I panicked. I found Jay on the wedding wire and we coordinated our elopement ceremony in less than a week! He was very flexible with the ceremony and extremely professional. He customized our ceremony to be exactly what we wanted. You should definitely use Clergy for Hire.

  As the grandmother of the groom and a wedding planner with many years experience over two states, it was very refreshing to work with Rev. Jay as the officiant of Gavin and Amanda's wedding. While helping them develop the ceremony they wanted to express their love and devotion to each other, he was completely supportive and attentive to their needs. While the logistics of working from opposite ends of 2 states did not afford them the opportunity for long term premarital counseling, frequent and heartfelt emails provided comfort and familiarity for all involved. He had the ability to keep the entire wedding party, most of whom had never been involved in a wedding, relaxed and attentive. By the end of the day, it was very apparent, Rev. Jay was not just an officiant of their wedding, but a friend to them and their entire family.

  Reverend Jay was absolutely wonderful. He's exceptional at meeting and acceping others where they are in life. He's funny, outgoing, and has a great spirit. We found him online and although he was a stranger, he now is a friend. We couldn't be happier!

  We were very pleased with the way Jay handled his responsibilities as officiant at my daughter's wedding. He was very helpful and worked well with our wedding planner in organizing the ceremony and ensuring that everything went smoothly.   I was so grateful to work with Rev. Jay! I had specifically requested that the ceremony not be religiously officiated and provided some words towards the direction I wanted and he worked with me to polish it and didn't over suggest anything I wouldn't like.
  I was not able to have a rehearsal dinner so Jay met with us over coffee to discuss the plans for the wedding. He was prepared to cover topics I had not considered such as whether our dj had a sound system with microphone and what he should wear. More importantly he gave some great advice about how I should be introduced to the audience at the end of the ceremony. It only took about 45 minutes and a couple of emails to hash out all the details but then we were set! And when the day came he didn't skip a beat and conducted everything beautifully!
  Overall I thought Jay was creative, jovial, efficient, relaxed and truly a pleasure to work with.
