  The cherry on top!

  Thank you to Mark and the ULS team! The lighting they set up was the cherry on top for our space. We had string lights over the tables and a disco ball for the dance floor - both really helped set the tone and made the space both elegant and fun. We were really pleased and recommend them for any party!

  True professionals!

  Mark at Universal Light and Sound was a breeze to work with and they did a fantastic job at lighting my wedding at The Foundry. In the planning process they were prepared with lots of examples of all of the different options and Mark was very responsive in answering questions. It looked exactly as I imagined on the big day!

  Hire ULS for Greenpoint Loft!

  We just had our wedding at Greenpoint Loft, and we would hire ULS a billion times over. Greenpoint Loft is an empty space, so the lighting, florals, etc are all the more important in order to give the venue some feel. We knew having some sort of additional lighting would be key, but we didn't really expect guests to take too much notice. However, we were getting compliments right and left from guests about the icicle lights we put over the main dance floor. We also chose to put string lights over the guest tables on the sides, and uplighting around the pillars and perimeter walls of the main space. Even our caterer, who has been to a ton of Greenpoint Loft weddings, kept commenting on how well done the lighting / decor was. Mark from ULS was extremely easy to work with, and he answered our many questions about what lights would look best in which locations, without ever pushing us. The ULS website is a little confusing, but once you get the hang of it, it's well worth it. Again, thank you so much Mark and team!!!

  Beautiful Lighting

  Universal Light and Sound were flexible and easy to work with. We opted for a series of string lights and mirror ball, which looked incredible in our ceremony space and perfectly set the tone for our dance floor. The team was very diligent in the setup and breakdown.

  Great lighting for wedding!

  Mark and ULS did our wedding lighting at the Prospect Park Picnic House. Mark was patient with our questions and several back-and-forths on packages and payment. On the day, the team was quick to set up and tear down and was extremely professional- and most importantly the lights looked great! We'd recommend working with ULS to anyone.

  Universal Light and Sound was a dream to work with for our wedding lights. We didn’t even see them on the day of; they came in and installed everything so quickly and returned that night after the party to take down the lights. On a day when you have so much else to think about, it was beyond amazing to have a company execute everything so well, on time, and with no issues. We definitely recommend them to anyone looking for lighting for an event!

The company also has a strong online presence so you can get a sense of the variety and quality of their work. Everything went smoothly day of. I would definitely work with this company again!

We rented uplights that created intimate, indirect lighting and turned the room very festively. In the dance floor area, we had a disco ball, which was a lot of fun!

  Mark and his team did such an incredible job lighting our wedding. We last minute had to change to the bigger venue due to weather and they were able to double our package and make the big space look as though we were always supposed to be there. They were so kind, accommodating and attentive all throughout our process. I can't recommend them enough.

  The Disco Ball Made our Wedding

  Mark and his team at Universal LIght and Sound Equipment Wedding made our wedding. They set up a Disco ball with spot lights and the dance floor looked absolutely unreal. The disco ball also added to the decor of our ceremony room earlier in the night. We can't thank him enough. The set up was flawless. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

  We DIY'd as much of our wedding as possible. When it came to lighting at The Dumbo Loft, we didn't want to worry about timing and safety. So we reached out to Mark at ULS-NYC who was quick to respond with a quote, professional, and provided the best service package for our overhead lighting needs. Thank you ULS-NYC for accepting our relatively simple job and giving us peace of mind on the day. A little bit of lighting went a long way! Highly recommend!

  Lighting MADE our Wedding!

  We didn’t realize how important lighting was going to be for our wedding but Universal Lighting absolutely MADE our wedding! Our dinner was outdoors and without the gorgeous string and accent lighting the whole event would have had a completely different vibe. Even the band was lit up as though we were at an actual concert. Universal was very helpful and easy to work with. They helped make our wedding day perfect!

Even the band was lit up as though we were at an actual concert. Universal was very helpful and easy to work with. They helped make our wedding day perfect!

  The most gorgeous lighting!

  They were so easy to work with and laid back. They made the process so easy, and made my vision come to "light"! They really elevated the rooms look, and if you are debating on adding lighting, this should push you to do it- it makes such a difference!

  Magical lighting

  We used Universal Light and Sound for our wedding in October at the Prospect Park Picnic House and the beautiful string lights that they hung from the ceiling for us truly added to the magic of the evening. Mark was a pleasure to work with, super communicative and a great team! We didn’t have to worry about a thing!
