    Roe Vow Renewal 25th Anniversary Celebration

    We chose this video as the space for our very special day. We could not have been more pleased. From the onset of the initial tour of the facility to the actual date of the event, everything was handled with class, professionalism, and class. They exceeded our expectations. We recommend this venue for your next occasion / celebration!

    Beyond expectations

    We had the pleasure of working with one of the UCC's private event directors, Pam Monnier. For about a year she helped us plan our day down to the most minute detail. We really came to Pam with just a vague vision and she turned that seed of an idea into the most amazing reality. The detail in the decor (the handwritten chalk board messages, the table names, etc) was just beyond any expectations we could have had. Every one of the staff members at the UCC was just spectacular. They were friendly, attentive, and generally just superb to be around. Oh, and the food. Oh. My. God. I was blown away when we did our initial tasting and the day of quality was equal. Just top notch. You cannot go wrong with the UCC.

    We had our ceremony & reception here in June 2015 with Kaley as our wedding coordinator and I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding! Kaley was great to work with and always replied in a timely manner. The club was also very flexible, as we decided the week of to change the ceremony inside instead of outside due to the heat. The staff throughout the wedding worked hard to ensure we had a quick change from ceremony to reception. In addition, they made sure that we had everything we needed in order to make our day the best! We decided to choose the stations option as far as food and it was the most delicious food that I have had! I would definitely recommend anyone to the University Center Club, especially to work with Kaley! She helped us remind of little details and made sure that we were there to just enjoy the day!

    This place was amazing!!! I had my corporate event here and I couldn't have asked for a better venue. I book events for my corporation as my title is "event coordinator," and the UCC was above and beyond accommodating to my needs. I have done a lot of business and event coordinating around the country in my last 13 years in my position and this place puts every other venue to shame. Their staff seemed all to be young, but extremely polite and far beyond professional, definetly well trained. Prices were reasonable and the catering department was very flexible with my budget presented. To top it off the food was amazing!!! All I can say is good luck finding a better place to have your event in this town (Tallahassee, FL.). The venue was also very, very clean which is a huge plus for me personally. I did plenty of homework before choosing the Club to have our event and my boss has yet to stop praise on my decision. Thanks a bunch UCC!!! I feel bad because you did all the work, but I seemed to have took all the credit. Beware, we'll be back. 5+ stars around the board. You'll be a fool to have your event elsewhere in this town.

    The food was awesome the servers were very nice and everything was set up perfect and we got raves about the potato martini bar!!! well worth the cost!

    Wonderful people to work with! Great food and great atmosphere! Ballroom is beautiful and can it get any better to have a wedding in a stadium?!!!?

    I cannot say enough great things about the University Center Club and Christy, their private events manager. From the beginning of the planning process, she was there to make my dreams a reality (cliche, yes, but definitely appropriate) and the club followed through in every day. I live in NYC but am from Tallahassee, but the planning process (that could be unbearable) was pleasantly smooth.

    First of all, the amount that is included in their package is unbeatable. We visited many venues in Tallahassee and were surprised about all of the "extras" that one would have to pay for at the other places. In the package at UCC (we got the sit-down meal), you get all tables, chairs, linens, tableware, etc. in addition to delicious food AND a beautiful wedding cake that rivals any that I've tasted in NYC. It's almost all-inclusive, and easy/affordable to build in any extras that you want.

    The service on the day of was impeccable. The wait staff was attentive and my guests had nothing but great things to say about them as well as the amazing food (oh, the food! SO GOOD). The bartenders were efficient and friendly. I couldn't have asked for anything more.

    Finally, back to Christy - she made sure that everything ran smoothly and worked seamlessly with the rest of my vendors (band, wedding planners, photographer, etc.) to ensure that everyone and everything was in the right place at the right time. Anything I asked for - a signature cocktail, silver chargers, move that table over there - she made happen, with a smile. THANK YOU, Christy, for everything!

    Overall, I would highly recommend the UCC for your wedding. The setting is beautiful - high ceilings, lots of windows, the stadium! - and the people are lovely.

    We were very, very pleased with the University Center Club! The packages gave us a great value for what we paid. We spend about $50 a person, which included linens, tbles, decorations, place cards, appetizers and punch for the pre-reception, salad, bread, and either steak or salmon for the entree and a champagne toast. They made an absolutely beautiful cake for us which was included in the package price. They even ended up throwing in some extras for free, like setting up the terrace for us to use at our pre-reception and giving my husband and I drinks at the reception. The even gave us a huge basket of champagne, champagne flutes, cheese, sandwhiches, and crackers that we ended up eating at our hotel on our wedding night. They are very professional and very organized. I would defintely recommend the UCC. They did a fantastic job!

    I had my reception here and couldn't have been happier! The food got great reviews and they were so helpful with all of my requests. I had a great experience!

    The UCC and Robin Wharton were INVALUABLE for both my wedding and wedding preparations. My words can hardly do them justice. Robin was positive, responsive, listened well, and was truly a joy to work with. She was my Event Coordinator but that hardly describes the work she put into our beautiful wedding. Our wedding was formal, elegant, and relatively large (about 180 guests). I am confident that no matter what the style or theme, Robin could pull off anything with class and attention to detail. I should also mention how patient she was with me; I was certainly not the typical bride… when it came to planning I was “less than prepared.” I would recommend her and the UCC (catering) for any event. The food was delicious, the venue was immaculate, and the service was worth all 5 stars. To no credit of my own, my guests continue to rave about how amazing my wedding was even almost a year later (and they are not so easily pleased). The evening went flawlessly. If there were any hiccups… I certainly didn’t know about them. :)

    Very professional, spacious rooms, clean, delicious food. Kristen is very patient, and responsive. Its a bit pricy since they charge you even for the cake cutting, but overall would recommend !

    We had our rehersal dinner at the UCC and could not have asked for a better venue. It was out on one of the decks overlooking the field and down town Tallahassee at sun set. It was a little on the highly priced side of things, but worth the money when it came to the food, service and view.

    I was happy with the University Center club. The food, drink, and cake were great and I felt very well attended to by the staff. It was a bit on the pricey side, but I was happy with the selection we received and the food we received in the picnic basket was a nice touch and was of good quality. There was only one mix up- the layout of the reception hall wasn't exactly how we planned it to be but nobody knew but us. I really liked the exclusivity of the venue-it made the planning relatively hassle free.

    I was really pleased with the University Club Center. They gave me an incredible amount of options -- use their tablecloths and chair covers or bring my own, the size of the dance floor, the layout, whether I wanted a huge room or small room, menu choices -- I was thoroughly impressed at my ability to truly individualize our reception. They were flexible with allowing unique touches, such as a baby grand piano brought in for my new husband to serenade me! They also opened up the hall early to some family members while we were snapping photos. They were sensitive to my fear of wedding crashers, and treated all of my guests respectfully. Oh, and the food was amazing!

    Our reception there was wonderful. The ballroom provided a perfect setting for the type of wedding we wanted. Once bit of advice...make sure you discuss what you want in your basket that they give the couple to take with them. We were told it would include food from our reception and some of our wedding cake. We didn't eat knowing we would get to have some later in our hotel suite. Instead we got stale crackers, old cheese, brown fruit and cookies in a plastic package. That was our only complaint.

    The quality of service was very disappointing. Trays of passed appetizers were purposely kept in the kitchen area because the staff (FSU students) are allowed to take home any leftovers. My husband and I, as well as many other guests, did not even get to try the appetizers. The staff apparently waited until a large group went upstairs to look over the field to bring down the trays of appetizers. 4 trays were made of each appetizer, yet only one tray made its way to our rehearsal dinner. Instead of offering my mother-in-law the food that she paid for, the staff took it home. On top of this, the event coordinator admitted to knowing that the staff does this. This coordinator did introduce herself at the beginning of the rehearsal dinner, but did not stay. If she knows that this is an issue, shouldn't she stay to manage her staff and ensure a proper service?

    The quality of food was good and the atmosphere was very nice. We simply wish that the service would have been more professional, especially from a club run by the hospitality school.

    I am writing this review based on the service I received from the office staff (Their planners) Its a wonderful location...The servers were good...The day of staff was excellent...If you book this venue, get your own planner and save your self the heartache!

    Venue Closed

    Just discovered today this venue is closed, which I had reserved for my rehearsal dinner in March 2022. No one reached out to let us know and I am unable to reach anyone on their phone line. The only option is to leave a voicemail, which is full. Very disappointed.
