We were married at the Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort in June 2018 and I could not have imagined a better experience. The location, the amenities, and the value were main reasons we chose the VRC to host our intimate 40-guest wedding, but the real treasure we found was the staff. Everyone, especially event coordinator Tasha Puckett, was accommodating, attentive, and considerate. We had to do everything digitally or over the phone since we're from out of state, but Tasha kept in touch with us over email to request any updates. She was always courteous and kind when she messaged or gave us a call. The VRC was a comfortable and relaxing place to get away with our closest loved ones. The condos were updated and unique. I really enjoyed the community feel in comparison to many of the hotels that are popular venues in Vail. Not to mention, the value was incredible! Their pool, spa, workout center, and tennis courts were great on-site amenities for everyone to enjoy. The free Vail bus route passes right by the clubhouse so travel to and from the main town center is super easy and convenient. Our guests enjoyed being able to explore not only the nearby shopping but the easily accessible hiking trails as well. The mountain scenery was perfect for our outdoor wedding ceremony on the Royal Elk Terrace which was next to the Royal Elk Room where the reception was held. The resort grounds had pockets of gorgeous wilderness where we took our wedding party photos. Inside, we had lots of space to seat our guests and host our buffet dinner, as well as space for a modest sized dance floor with a DJ nearby. We had a slideshow on the large flat-screen TV that we played during the reception from a flash drive. My husband and I are still so happy whenever we think of our experience at the Vail Racquet Club. Tasha and Lauren from Blu’s Restaurant came to meet us before we left to give us a few tokens of thanks. They were so thoughtful and definitely made us feel special. Thank you!

The VRC is in a perfect mountain location, just a few miles outside of vail village. But it is much quieter (and more reasonably priced) than anywhere else at vail or most other mountain venues. It has a very intimate feel since everywhere you look is so scenic and you can walk to any end of the resort complex in just minutes. They also had a great workout room we took advantage of and the pool and lawn area for games and grilling. My midwestern family felt vey at home in the units since they all had full kitchens and most were updated with modern amenities and upgrades.

Next when we found out we were not able to pick a caterer we were initially a little disappointed… but after working with Amy Oberly and having every item exceed our expectations we couldn’t be more grateful it was them we were ”stuck” with. At our first meeting we made it known that we wanted Colorado craft beer and Amy was more than accommodating. She even reached out to a distributor of our choosing to get a specialty keg delivered for our wedding. They made us a custom menu which included a taco bar, beef brisket sliders and a mixture of tex-mex appetizers. The food was delicious. And since we did it buffet style I know everyone was well fed the entire night. Next, her staff always had a smile on their face the service really made the night even more special. They only had a $250 setup and take down fee, which was so nice that my family did not have to worry about cleaning up as soon as the wedding was over and they organized all of our belongings to pick up the next morning. We also had an after party at blu’s bar which was so fun that the party was able to continue after the wedding was over. Then finally we had a brunch the next morning, which again was delicious and great to see people off before they had a long travel day.

The VRC was the perfect mountain location for my destination wedding. Everywhere you looked, there were gorgeous views! Plus, there were several options to choose from for the ceremony. Amy Lilyquist was absolutely wonderful to work with. She made everything as easy as possible. The town homes and condos were superb! Plus, the pricing was the best deal for Vail. Numerous outdoor activities were available all around. I could not have chosen a better venue! Love, love, love the VRC! My husband and I will definitely be back for anniversaries!

Blu's Restraunt catered my rehearsal dinner, reception, and brunch. Each meal was AMAZING! Again, I cant say enough how delicious the food was! Amy Oberly and her staff were wonderful. Easy to work with and made both nights run flawlessly.

We chose the Vail Racquet Club as our venue because it was the cheapest we could find in the valley. We also liked the fact that all the condos were right on site as most of our guest were coming from out of town.

The condos were very nice and clean. Our guest were very happy with where they were staying.

Amy was our contact at the Racquet Club. She was very helpful throughout the whole process. She was awesome with keeping everything organized the day of to make sure things went smoothly. She also help my mother in law and maid of honor with planning our parties and rehearsal dinner.

The only downside is that you have to use their caterer. Food was still good, but the contact was awful to deal with.

Vail Racquet Club Mountain Resort's reply:

I'm so glad to hear that everything went to well for you from the Vail Racquet Club side of things. We do our best to make a memorable experience at an affordable price here in Vail. We now have our restaurant (catering) under new management as well. So new brides should see a seamless effort for their events here in Vail!
