  Responsive & Innovative

  The VAR events team has been nothing short of responsive and helpful throughout my wedding planning process. As a bride who is planning from out of state, the team has kept me on track and calm as we plan for my March 2023 wedding. I would highly suggest to anyone looking to have a stress free planning experience.

  Best baby shower ever!

  VAR Events helped to plan a dream baby shower to celebrate the upcoming birth of my baby boy. She took my pictures and ideas an executed a truly classy affair. The venue was transformed into a dreamy space. I really had the best baby shower I’ve ever gone to. Thank you VAR Events!

  Poor experience

  
  Unfortunately, VAR events severely under delivered and we decided to terminate our contract and as a result, lost our deposit.
  
  Communication was underwhelming with the owner of VAR and the followup and followthrough was poor. We found ourselves requesting updates and a list of expectations several times as we approached our March 2021 wedding date and it either went unanswered or false hope was given.
  
  We hired VAR in August of 2020 and met 3 times with the VAR owner as a result of my fiancé and I’s inquiries. We met for the initial consultation in August, the venue walkthrough where the owner included her young son, and again Nov 3 after a missed due date of Oct 30 where she explained she was unable to reach out due to another wedding. Please note, VAR committed to an Oct 30 due date for a floor plan that was initially verbally committed to be delivered by Sept 26. The VAR owner did not communicate the miss until Nov 2. As we approached the date, we reached out on Oct 29, Nov 1 and Nov 2. On Nov 3, we met for a working session and it seems as if the floor plan was thrown together in a rush. VAR communicated during the working session that we’ll hear from throughout November for the design and they’ll move as fast or as slow as decisions are given to be made by my fiancé and I.
  
  Dec 2020, we terminated our contract and lost our deposit. As mentioned, the communication was not up to par with the owner and with 3 months to go, we hadn’t heard from the owner since Nov 3. We’d heard from her assistant which we were grateful for. Per the assistant, they both have full time jobs.
  
  2020 has been hard on everyone, but good customer service goes a long way. 100% disappointed in the service my fiancé and I received from VAR Events. We were thoroughly looking forward to our wedding day with this event planning business.

  Destination Wedding

  We planned a destination wedding with VAR events as our wedding planner. This was admittedly their first time taking on such an endeavor, but we had high hopes they would execute flawlessly. Unfortunately we were not satisfied with the services rendered. We paid for full service wedding planning which means we did not want to lift a finger. Victoria put most of the burden on her assistant who missed meetings, lacked initiative, and came to meetings unprepared with little to offer. Lack of attention to detail was given to our wedding package with the resort which resulted in failure of vendor (photographer) to show up to our pre planned welcome event. When we brought this to their attention no apology was rendered but excuses was given. We accommodated all of our guest and answered all questions which was a huge task in itself. The resort we chose came with a wedding planner and in hindsight that would have been enough. On the actual wedding day there was no direction given to our wedding party and timing of events. Guest commented on how the wedding planners seemed to be more interested in enjoying the destination with their own preplanned photoshoot then ensuring the couple’s needs were met. Bottom line if you are interested in having a destination wedding make sure to check their track record and make sure expectations are outlined in your contract.
