Casey Sent on 02/14/2011My hair was the bomb! However, there was a minor problem but their response still makes this salon 100% perfect and shows the importance of a trial run. I made my appointment with the "hair master". She was said to know how to do everything, which was great because the style I chose was complicated. But when I showed the style to her during the trial run she looked shocked. The style was a braid and it was the only thing she didn't know how to do. I am so thankful that she had the guts to admit to me that she couldn't do it and her and the manager were determined to find another stylist that could make my dream hair a reality. They found the braid specialist, who just happened to be available to do my hair the day of the wedding. So it worked out perfectly. And my hair was amazing!!! -

Dawn Sent on 04/01/2011Rachel Parish at the Veda Salon on North Academy is absolutely wonderful! I am sure she was nervous at first, because we were not able to do a trial a run since I was not in town until the day before the wedding. She did such a fantastic job! I brought her a few pictures of what I liked and within an hour and a half, I had exactly the hairstyle I wanted!
Susan did my make up, and again, I was so happy with the results. It was so nice and natural looking, which is just what I wanted! -

Very BAD & Awful
If I could rate a 0/5 stars, I would. My wife and I work so hard and don’t have a lot of money at all... we are going on vacation in 3 days that we saved all year for and I wanted to surprise my wife with a cut and color before we go because she wanted a change.
We got set up with Kristi and she was very friendly, but when it was all said and done... my wife expressed concern about the color of her hair and the lack of definition in the layers. My wife let Kristi know that her hair is pink which isn’t at all what she was going for and that the layers aren’t noticeable. Kristi proceeded to let her know that it’s just the lighting... we gave it the benefit of doubt and hoped the color would set after a couple days. Well now, 4 days later my wife looks like she let my 4 year old daughter get a hold of her head with a highlighter and still - no layers.
We called to further express our concern and spoke to Star... she seemed helpful, she scheduled an appointment for my wife to get her hair fixed, she assured us there would be no extra cost. We scheduled the appointment and thought things are good to go, again.... well we were wrong. 15 minutes later we get a call from Star, I don’t answer phone numbers I don’t know so I let it go to voicemail. I check the voicemail and to our surprise it was Star. She was calling to let us know that her manager went over the paperwork and sees that my wife signed off on the colors that were used.... which is accurate - but she did so under the impression that Kristi, as a professional hair stylist, would know what she was doing. Little did we know, signing the color approval form per the stylists recommendation of color came to bite us in the ass. The manager advised Star to let us know that the best they can do if comp the cheap ass cut but we will need to pay for the corrective color which is STARTING at around $89.00 after already paying $277.
We tried to see what other options are available, Star put us on hold and spoke to the manager and the manager out right refused to do anything further. I have never been so upset and regretful of going to a place that is supposed to make you look and feel better about yourself.
Granted it’s a large company and loosing my wife and I as customers isn’t going to hurt their pocketbook at all, I highly advise all of you potential customers to shop elsewhere and be cautious about signing anything. These people know what they are doing by asking you to sign the paper before starting. It’s all about money and not the quality of work done.
Great, friendly staff at first but I can’t believe they are unwilling to help. The first pic is what I was going for... the other 3 are what I got. -
