We had limited time to make a decision and were a bit stressed when we arrived for our appointment. Christina immediately made us feel like we were in good hands. She poured champagne and laughed/cried with us. She also chose the dress my daughter would eventually pick! Completely different than what she imagined but Christina really listened to everything that she said and how she responded to each dress. 2 hours altogether and we had the dress- and below budget! Thank you for a great day. -

Ashleigh Sent on 11/15/2017Shannon with Velvet Bride made the somewhat daunting task of finding a wedding dress so unique and stress free. I was able to have my closest family and friends there with me, and the entire shop to ourselves. It was something I will never forget. The selection of dresses was amazing and I found my dream wedding dress! My bridesmaids found their dresses as well, making it a one stop shop!

User2299850 Sent on 09/03/2015Buying a wedding dress can be completely overwhelming but the moment I stepped into Velvet Bride, I was instantly relaxed and excited. The store is beautiful and filled with stylish dresses at a decent price point, which is impossible to find anywhere else in Montana.
Lauren has a great eye and did a wonderful job at helping me pick out dresses that fit both my budget and figure. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on and couldn't have been happier! -
User2300051 Sent on 09/03/2015After searching all over for wedding dresses, I found "the one" at Velvet Bride. The space is unique and quaint and the dresses are all gorgeous. The most pleasant part about the space is that the styles span the breadth of any personal taste while not looming so large as to be overwhelming. I had a tight budget for my wedding and Lauren helped me find several beautiful dresses that were in my price range. She made my wedding dress shopping experience wonderful and memorable. -

Living in Montana, there are limited bridal options and as soon as I walked into Velvet, I was captivated. It's decorated very eclectic and modern with a gorgeous intimate boutique feel. They had a great selection and I was immediately drawn to their selection of non-traditional, unique wedding gowns. I purchased a Nicole Miller gown and received it roughly 2 months after ordering. Lauren referred me to their out-of-house seamstress who did a phenomenal job on tailoring it to fit perfectly- all under $100. Whenever I had any questions, they responded promptly. I also found a beautiful headpiece and bridal robe after my dress came in. I would recommend this shop to any bride looking for a unique, special experience with quality wedding gowns. Valerie Sent on 11/14/2015I loved shopping at Velvet Bride! Lauren has a great selection of dresses; all very contemporary, flattering, and affordable. It might not be your store if you're looking for a giant princess dress. Great for me!
The online appointment booking process was very easy! She even recommended a tailor for my alterations, which I'm currently using.
The only issue I had was minor. I ordered my belt in July, sometime in October I hadn't heard anything about it coming in. I was starting to think I had dreamt I ordered it. I sent Lauren and email asking about it, and she said the wrong color came in and they had to send it back. That's fine, but I would have appreciated an email update rather than having to wonder. -
User2211351 Sent on 07/05/2015I am from Alaska and wanted something that was unique as Alaska has one or two bridal shops. I looked online and immediately fell in love with the whole establishment. It's so modern and rustic, but also very chic designer dresses. The shop is beautiful in person, and I LOVED that Lauren makes private appointments so people can't just walk in. She even carries champagne for the bride and her guests which is sweet. She took a lot of measurements and told me because I was smaller up top and had bigger hips she would send for the designer to make a dress that was a small up top and medium bodice. I waited 7 months for my dress to be sent for the company "Katie May" When I received my dress I was heartbroken. It was humungous. I don't mean kind of baggy. It fell off when I tried to zip it up. When I contacted Lauren she told me that she had sent my measurements to the company and no dress would fit perfectly. There would have to be some alterations. When I took the dress to get alterations the tag on my dress said "To the lovely bride Mikayla. LARGE" I had received a cookie cutter large dress, and they just stamped my name on it. I paid 1,800 for my dress and over 500.00 in alterations. My seamstress had to completely remake the bust of the dress because there was so much material. I loved the shop and loved Lauren, but was very upset that I didn't get what I ordered. The sample fit much better, and if I had known I would have just taken that one home for minor alterations. I am not really sure to be angry with the Velvet Bride for not helping me fix the problem or Katie May for sending me the wrong dress.Velvet Bride's reply:

We are so sorry and shocked to hear your review. We've just emailed you to discuss your concerns since we hadn't received a call or email from you after you received your gown back in December. To clarify- our gowns aren't made to custom measurements, but are determined from standard size charts. We reviewed your order in detail and the gown was delivered in the standard 4-month period and sized correctly according to your measurements. Katie May sent the correct sized gown, with the smaller cup-size adjustment (which is a complimentary service) and we explained that most brides need alterations to get the perfect fit. The tag on the gown indicates the hip size which was the same size you tried on in the store. If you have further concerns, please reach out to us directly via email or phone.
