My husband and I just got married at Vezalay this weekend and it was the most perfect day all thanks to Sharon!! She was always a phone call or text away any time I needed her leading up to the wedding. She facilitated a rehearsal for us the day before, and was back at the venue early the next day with Chick-fil-A breakfast, a snack basket, and champagne for me and my girls. Our puppy was part of our wedding too and she took such good care of her all night on top of making sure our ceremony and reception ran smoothly. She even brought our pup out for the last dances and let her celebrate with us!! I cannot say enough good things about Sharon and the whole staff at Vezalay. Her husband created a timeline for us and bound it together in such a cute keepsake booklet so we will always have something to remember our day. The owner Doug was also a pleasure to work with and always got back to us with questions in a timely manner. The bridal cottage is the perfect addition to get ready with your girls the morning of and to stay the night in as newlyweds the night of the wedding. I could go on and on about the wonderful experience we had with Vezalay and would recommend this venue and amazing staff to anyone!!

My daughter and son-in-law were married at Vezalay on 6/26/2022. It was a day that I will never forget. Doug, your wedding venue is absolutely beautiful! The facilities were so nice, modern, and clean. The views are breathtaking. My daughter and son-in-law had an amazing time, and so did our families.

Our day of the event wedding coordinators (Sharon and Dan) were incredible! There is no way we would have been able to pull this off without them. They made sure that everything went smoothly from the beginning till the end. They worked so hard and are such amazing people. I would encourage anyone that has the opportunity to work with them to do so.

We feel blessed to have selected Vezalay for our daughter’s wedding! Great venue with excellent people working there! Thanks so much for everything!

We found the Vezalay early in the wedding planning. Doug, the owner, just started working on the chapel. This place has an AMAZING view that is perfect for pictures. The chapel is gorgeous and the event center is the perfect size for a fairly large reception. We loved working with Doug. He is very open minded, easy to talk to, and very professional. We loved that we also were allowed to stay in the on site cottage after our wedding was over. We could not have picked a better place for our wedding.

They are awesome! My wedding is November of 2020 and they have been so incredibly helpful with all aspects. The location is absolutely stunning! The even center has giant windows so that, even when inside, you’re not missing any of the views!

Where do I even begin? From the moment we arrived on site at Vezalay, I knew this was our venue. The entire Vezalay team went above and beyond for us in every way possible, and with the most patience and kindness. We got married on a cool November evening— the view was unbelievable, the ambiance of both the chapel and the event center/reception building was so lovely, and the cottage on-site was perfect. I’ll never be able to thank the Vezalay team for providing such a magical venue at such an affordable price. To the bride-to-be reading this right now, you will not regret choosing Vezalay for your special day. It truly was beyond our wildest dreams!

As soon as my fiancé and I pulled into the parking lot of this beautiful venue, we knew it was the place! Doug was very flexible and provided us with a lot of information to make planning our wedding a success!

Vezalay is the most perfect venue. Doug, the owner, goes above and beyond to make sure everything is exactly how you want it. It is VERY reasonably priced for what you get. The views are stunning and the bridal cottage and reception hall are spotless. You can tell Doug is very detail oriented because every piece of the venue is well thought out. I recommend booking the bridal cottage too! It is so cute. My bridesmaids and I got ready during the day here, and my husband and I stayed the night there after the wedding as well. We had the most perfect wedding day all because of Vezalay. We are so happy with our choice. I would recommend it to anyone.

I got married on May 18, 2019 and Vezalay was the perfect venue for our reception. Doug is so great to work with and really accommodating to what we were hoping for. The views are amazing and it makes the pictures beautiful. This venue made my dreams of having an indoor/outdoor wedding reception possible. The price and the location of the venue cannot be beat. I would recommend this venue to anyone.

The venue is absolutely beautiful. I love that it has the outdoor ceremony space (which we used) and also the beautiful chapel on the property in case of rain or as another option. The reception hall is indoors but has a beautiful deck and outdoor space overlooking the mountains. The bar is movable and we had the bar set up on the deck with the fire pits and it was a huge hit. The cottage is perfect for the bridal party to get ready. I had 8 bridesmaids plus myself and my moms and there was plenty of room for us and the hair and makeup vendors.

Doug was a pleasure to work with! He did such an amazing job creating a beautiful wedding venue! I honestly don't think there are any other venues that offer as much flexibility as Vezalay. I was able to find my own florist, caterer, DJ - that helped me save so much money on my planning costs!

Where do I start. Vezalay is an amazing venue with gorgeous views of the north Georgia mountains. The owner is very easy to work with and is all about his clients’ having a wonderful experience. Having seen most venues in the area, I have to say, Vezalay is a gem and my favorite!

Hosting my daughter's wedding reception at Vezalay was the best decision! We were elated with our experience. Your facilities are lovely and you have situated them in a way that displays the magnificence of God’s beautiful creation! Everyone raved about how perfect it was!

Amazing venue, cottage and staff. I planned a wedding for friend at this venue and it was perfect. Friendly owner and manager. Lots of space for 200 guests or more, beautiful venue. Great views.

The minute we walked into the event center and took in the breathtaking views, we knew this was the venue for us. The coordinator, Sharon, went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly and helped our vision come to life.

Vezalay is such a beautiful venue! If you’re looking for a DIY venue. This is the place with stunning mountains views. Sharon was my coordinator and the one who I worked with the most and she was the best !

It was a beautiful property and the owner was willing to adjust their schedule to conduct a tour with us.

I had my wedding at Vezalay in June, 2022. My wedding was near perfect and just what I wanted. The #1 reason to choose Vezalay is the view. Stunning backdrop for ceremony and floor to ceiling windows of that view for reception. Since it was very hot outside, I had the ceremony outdoors, but having reception inside was a must but I'm glad the views came with it through those windows. The other thing I thought came with it was my wedding coordinator, Sharon McMillan. She is really the only one I spoke with and come to find out, she does not work for the facility and is really only there to open and close for you. Despite this, she did so much that was above and beyond that. She is the one that communicated with me about everything and was always so prompt and sweet in all her replies. She did so much for me that I ended up hiring her a my Day of Coordinator and it was the best money I ever spend. (I wish I had hired her to plan the entire event earlier as it would have saved me some headaches with other vendors.) Hire Sharon (with her husband, Doug) and you won't be disappointed! (See my additional review of Sharon McMillan and her This is the Moment wedding planning on here separately.) The reception hall itself is very large and lovely and can accommodate any size wedding. It can seat up to 200 easily. But I had a wedding for just under 50. I was afraid it would be too big, but it wasn't at all. The tables are quite big so bear that in mind for how much table flowers/decor you'll need. The tablecloths also had to be an extra large size. I had my ceremony outside even though it was hot. There is also a deck for people to use for cocktail hour and throughout the evening. Plus there was an area just outside the doors of the hall that was beautiful and many of my guests hung out out there smoking cigars, playing Corn Hole (which I brought) or just chatting and enjoying the view. The lovely chapel was also right there in case of rain which was peace of mind. You also get the wedding cottage for the day and it was nice wait there with my wedding party in the AC! I also rented the cottage overnight for extra money. (There is a place across the street called The Limelight Inn where you and/or your wedding party and perhaps some guests can stay, it was great too. But it only has 11 rooms. ) At Vezalay, I went with the DIY wedding package and probably saved a lot of money that way, but it was A LOT of work, so be prepared! But you can bring whatever vendors you want there. I hired my own DJ (DJ Dre who is phenomenal, btw) and my own florist and stylist Isobel Design. I used Events By Dezine(EBD) for the catering and bartender and cake (but I had to stock the bar myself which was a lot of carrying of heavy cases of wine and beer and more.) EBD can also do your whole wedding inclusive and works with Vezalay a lot, so that is an option if your budget allows. For me, I liked picking each vendor myself, everything was just the way I wanted it and very personal. Despite some issues I had beforehand with EBD that had me worried (nail down what time they will arrive with everything beforehand, doing my decorations with someone else and getting the linens through them made things quite tight to set up), the food was delicious and the staff very good (although they did refuse to wear masks so if that matters to you, there's that). I do have to say that the food was "outstanding" - a director quote from the mother of the bride as well as many guests. The cake was also "the best wedding cake I ever had". And one guest said "It's so nice to have wedding food that actually tastes good." The EBD bartender was also good but he forgot to put the vodka in my specialty cocktail so I went home with 6 handles of citrus vodka! (Again, all that was not provided by Vezalay but other vendors I hired separately.) If you go with Events by Dezine ask for Jacob as your head catering manager, he was awesome! Again, I really had a near perfect wedding. As long as you lock in Sharon with the deal, you will too!

Vezalay is a beautiful place to celebrate any occasion, but a wonderful place to celebrate a wedding! Our family had such an amazing time at this venue. We enjoyed the view most importantly, hospitality from Vezalay staff and bartender. We were able to bring in outside vendors and also had the option to use their in house services! They are very flexible with times for setting up for your event and are there to help if needed.

I cannot even begin to describe how wonderful Sharon and her husband, Dan were in coordinating my daughter’s wedding. She is the coordinator for Vezalay and was the only one I ever saw or heard from. Without her, this venue would not be the same. I chose a DIY wedding because of the costs of the packages Vezalay recommended. Sharon provided me with some of her favorite vendors, and the day was flawless. She went above and beyond to ensure the day was perfect, and it was absolutely better than perfect! Because of her, I was able to enjoy being with my daughter. I truly believe Sharon is the best wedding coordinator out there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving your job so much!
