    Stunning venue

Our wedding at the Villa Terrace was magical. Leading up to the wedding day, Megan's communication was fantastic. In over a year of planning for our big day, Megan was incredibly responsive and helpful. On the day of the wedding, she and her team went above and beyond for us to create the perfect day. Could not recommend this venue more.

Villa Terrace = an absolute dream

Megan and the team at Villa Terrace made my wedding dreams come true. First off, I cannot get over how insanely gorgeous this venue is. All of my guests were gushing about it, and it was so fun to feel like we had an entire Italian villa all to ourselves! But beyond how beautiful the venue is itself, Megan was wonderful to work with. She went above and beyond helping me customize my bar menu while still staying within budget, and when we had some last-minute cancellations she graciously adjusted our total where she could. Then the day of the wedding, we had to make some last minute calls due to rain, and she was incredible sorting through all that. She ensured everything was in place and all guests were comfortable so the wedding could go off without a hitch. And throughout the night, she continued to check in on me and my family to ensure everything was going smoothly. I strongly, strongly recommend hosting your wedding at Villa Terrace. I guarantee you it will be an event to remember, and Megan makes it so easy.

Candy and everyone else at Zillis was a dream to work with. They were prompt in all correspondence and very accommodating.
The food was phenomenal-we chose the little indulgences package which meant that there was something for everyone at the wedding and every guest kept raving about how awesome the food was.
The service the day of was also wonderful. The staff was very attentative, professional and friendly.
Choosing Zillis was one of the best decisions we made in planning our wedding!

We just booked the Villa Terrace for our wedding venue and we couldn't imagine a more perfect place for my Fiancé and I to get married. They have been nothing but helpful with suggestions for our big day and I can't wait to see their team in action.

The Villa was STUNNING and perfect for our brunch reception. Even though it was very early spring and there wasn't much green, it was a fabulous backdrop. I'm convinced I would not have liked another venue as much as the Villa Terrace. I tell everyone about our wedding and how perfect the Villa Terrace is.

We had nothing but good experiences with the staff at the Villa. They were very relaxed but on-point. We believe they lived up to the cost of the venue (plus way more!). They are good people.

Our wedding at the Villa was amazing! We were blessed with perfect spring weather, and they had the gardens just about complete the day we were there (they were set to officially open the next day). The staff is very accommodating and will go the extra mile in order to help you get what you want or help you figure out a way to get what you want but still respect their rules (as they are a museum, they do have a few rules). Just for example, the neighbor next door was running a wood chipper right before our ceremony and one of them went over to ask for them to stop for our ceremony, and later on they went literally running to check if the elevator to get down to the bottom of the gardens was working/open the gate for us to be able to go in through the gate to take photos. The contact we had with the Villa during the planning process was great and always available for whatever questions I may have had.
I had a hard time picking the Villa in the beginning just because of the price (which isn't necessarily bad, but if you are trying to be on a strict budget can be a splurge), but overall the beauty of the Villa and the gardens was more than worth the cost.
I also think it is a wonderful place in Milwaukee for those who want to have a small wedding -- we had about 60 people total for ceremony and reception and it was the perfect amount of people for the space.

When my fiancee and I found Villa Terrace, we knew it was "The One". The space is unique, beautiful, and cozy yet timelessly elegant. I always said that if I could have a destination wedding, I would go to a villa in Italy. With the Villa Terrace Decorative Arts Museum, we found my dream locale just a couple hours away from home!

The grounds are gorgeous, the view of the lake is stunning, and the architecture/layout of the building is extremely versatile. We rented the venue for the whole day and had our first look, ceremony, and reception there. The ceremony was on the terrace, the cocktail hour in the courtyard, and dinner/dancing took place inside the main room. There was a side room for the bar, and the library became our photo booth. We really got to use all of the space!

The staff at Villa Terrace was warm, friendly, and accommodating. Leading up to the event our questions were always answered promptly, and on the Big Day we didn't need a day-of coordinator because they took care of all the behind-the-scenes work.

We (the bride and groom) were elated with our flawless day, and felt so happy to have provided a fun, classy, and extremely memorable evening for our family and closest friends.

    Thank you, Villa Terrace!

I recently got married at the Villa Terrace and, honestly, it was just perfect! I spent months and months looking for the perfect venue and that search stopped the minute I walked into the VT. Not only is the venue gorgeous — the building itself is beautifully preserved and the courtyard and gardens are unrivaled in the area — but the staff was so helpful and accommodating. The only reason this isn't a 5/5 across the board is that it is on the expensive side and the museum itself doesn't close (meaning random people are milling about while you're setting up and getting ready) even if you rent the venue for the entire day. That being said, I don't regret a penny spent on this venue.

The Villa Terrace speaks for itself. I think it is the most beautiful and classy place in Milwaukee. The cost was affordable, especially with Charles Allis reception combination package. Staff were very helpful in planning our event and were very accommodating to us.

Gorgeous venue! We have gotten so many compliments from all of our guests. Even my husband's 94 year old grandmother is still raving about Villa Terrace. Abby was very accommodating from the beginning and was willing to work with us. Everything was fantastic and we are so very grateful to her and the rest of the crew at Villa Terrace for helping to make our day the best day of our lives! My husband and I would highly recommend getting married here at Villa Terrace!

Quite expensive, but COMPLETELY worth it. We moved our wedding from Madison to Milwaukee just because of this site. You cannot beat it in Wisconsin! The view from the terrace is amazing, Lake Michigan is in the background. The building itself is also wonderful. They have a beautiful bridal suite inside for the bride to dress in. The gardens below are perfect for photography. The main contact there, Judy, was always very responsive via email. They do have quite a few rules regarding events there, but it is understandable as it is a historical building. Highly recommended.

Zilli Hospitality Group catered our family wedding with efficiency.

Thank you for a very efficiently run catering experience at our daughter’s wedding on Saturday, August 1st. 2020. We felt safe during this crazy Covid time. We appreciated the plexiglass and the servers wearing protective gear.

The Villa Terrace was stunning. All of our guests were in awe and still can't stop talking about it. The venue was exactly what we wanted it to be; so beautiful that we didn't have to dress it up ourselves.

Our only complaint was that the staff was more hands off, and they weren't extremely helpful. They are a museum first and an event venue on the side. The staff was friendly and accommodating - they let us come in early, which was great - they just were not the most helpful coordinating all of the vendors. They were also contradictory about how late we could have music playing outside at night; even changing the time that was in the contract we initially signed, making us stop the music earlier than we had planned.

Absolutely stunning place for a wedding! It was so beautiful. We were able to get married on the patio after it had rained all morning and I was happy that Villa Terrace let us make the call for the ceremony. It is a very expensive venue but this location allowed us to have our dream wedding.

We had a few issues with the staff and our vendors not seeing "eye to eye" which made for a few akward moments throughout the day. One staff member confronted our photographer in front of my husband and I which we thought was unprofessional-no appologies were given despite this confrontation.

One a more positive note, the scenary is absolutely breath-taking and we received so many compliments about how classy and memorable our wedding was. Well worth the expensive pricetag! Our pictures turned out amazing and I'm sure that was because the venue was so beautiful! Overall we loved Villa Terrace!

Villa Terrace is so beautiful and I would recommend it to anyone wanting a truly romantic wedding. Just be aware that because it is a museum there are certain restrictions and limitations.

Spectacular views of Lake Michigan with unique architectural details and colors. Your photos will turn out amazing!!! Book a year in advance for the best June dates. Staff were helpful and flexible in allowing our vendors into the venue early for set-up due to the presence of the street closing for a city-wide event. Best for small weddings (max 125 guests for seated ceremony outdoors or 80 guests indoors for seated dinner)

The Villa speaks for itself...in my view it's the most beautiful venue in the Milwaukee area. By far. Every guest commented on it and I felt like a fairytale bride! My only complaint was the day of the wedding my event coordinator wasn't present, so I had to work with less experienced staff members who didn't exactly know all of the details I had worked so hard to plan. Other than this it was great!

Overall we were happy with the Allis. It is a beautiful site, they let us take pictures throughout the mansion, and the staff was very helpful at our rehearsal. The Great Hall was set up well and the porch was great for pictures.

It is one of the more expensive venues in Milwaukee, and I wish we could have found a cheaper, non-denominational site. We paid the steep $900 rental fee and were surprised that it cost another $100 for the rehearsal and an additional $100 if we wanted to use the piano. After paying so much for the rental it was rough that we were rushed our 1/2 hour before our rental time ended. It's a pretty site, and a great option if you don't belong to a church, but it was hard for us to spend such a large portion of our budget on a room we barely used for 3 hours.
