Sarah and I had our wedding at Vinology this Labor Day weekend and it was the best decision we made! Staff were amazing, they were attentive to every guest not just us. Shelley, the event coordinator, was helpful and responsive throughout the whole planning process; even with all the changes we needed during the crazy COVID-19 times. She made planning our wedding easy. When some of our guests had to cancel last minute, they adjusted to all changes and even got us a few bottles of wine. We never felt more pampered in our lives. Food and beverages were the absolute best! Braised short rib, herbed chicken, beet ravioli, and all the cheese, meats, fish pâté and calamari were all big hits with the guests and us. We have gotten so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the food, drinks, and service was. Sarah wanted a drink made towards the end of the night before last call and the bartender put everything down and hand delivered her drink. We will definitely be coming back to Vinology! Our wedding ceremony and reception at Vinology was perfect. The staff was very responsive during the planning process. The bubble room looked magical and made for the perfect intimate romantic wedding venue. Food was also delicious. So glad we were able to have a special day there despite Covid derailing our original plans!

Our son and his husband had their first date at Vinology's sister restaurant Vinotecca so they considered that place for their wedding. They were planning from out of state so they asked us to visit Vinotecca but the space didn't suit. Luckily the staff there suggested Vinology instead and when we visited and showed the grooms the Bubble Room, they were very impressed and booked it.

We had a wonderful experience! Alix was super responsive to all of our requests. When my husband and I dropped off various items on the morning of the wedding, they were very helpful. When we arrived for the event, the room was set up exactly as we asked and looked beautiful. The space was very private.

The food was fabulous and well served, from appetizers to desserts. I think my chicken dish was one of the best I've ever had. All of the staff went above and beyond to make our evening perfect!

Working with Vinology for our reception was seemless and, quite possibly, the easiest part of planning our wedding. Alix, the event manager, is very sweet and responsive. She took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly and went through every detail of our day. The rooms were set up beautifully. And we keep hearing about how awesome the food and bar was! The service was top-notch, and the space is beautiful. You can’t go wrong!

Vinology is, hands down, our favorite restaurant in Ann Arbor. The food is always incredible, and the staff attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. The atmosphere is excellent. So when we found out that they had a unique and beautiful event venue downstairs, The Bubble Room, we jumped on the chance to have our wedding there. It is not a large venue, and best for smaller, more intimate weddings, but it is an unforgettable place to have your wedding. Lots of hand-blown glass bubbles, mostly in golden tones, hang from the ceiling to diffuse the lighting. Exposed dark red brick in the walls, dark tiled floor, ivory draperies, and simple vine motif decorations. It is a pretty magical place, altogether. The even coordinator, Mike, and his staff worked with me before the wedding to make sure everything matched up to my image of how the wedding would go, and during the event itself, they all made sure everything ran so smoothly that it almost felt like I could just float through the night without worrying about anything more than saying my vows without stumbling over a word. I've never had any event I've ever planned go as smoothly and perfectly as this did once I placed it in the hands of Vinology's staff. And the food was simply perfect and blew everyone away. I have never, ever had one thing at Vinology I didn't find delicious, even when it's something I normally haven't liked in my past. By all means, if you can, have your event at Vinology!

I planned my weeding just 1.5 before we got married, I called Vinology and spoke with the manager, he was amazing, he not only did everything for us but it was also restaurant week. This place accommodated our 30 guests like they were the only ones in there, it was amazing. The food was out of this world good. overall the best experience I've ever had.

Perfect brunch wedding, beautiful, rustic, intimate. Everything was absolutely perfect and absolutely beautiful.

We had a very small, intimate wedding with guest number around 35. We didn't want to spend fortune paying for the venue, hiring a cater and renting the tables and chairs, tableware, glassware and silverware. The "Bubble Room" at Vinology was a perfect solution. The name comes from the luminescent glass bubbles on the ceiling, which are really really pretty in person as well as in pictures. They also have smaller adjacent space downstairs to accommodate guests including their wine cellar. The servers provided a great service. Event coordinator Joey was very accommodating to our changing needs and ideas and absolutely pleasant to work with. Only negative is that you pay by glass for alcoholic beverages.

The staff at Vinology was wonderful! Everyone went above and beyond to insure we had a relaxing, fun and memorable wedding day! The food was delicious and plated beautifully. All of our guests had a fantastic time and are still talking about what a find Vinology was as a wedding venue.

I gave a 3.5 on responsiveness because there were a few times when I hadn't heard from Sarah for days at a time.Other than that, she was great to work with.Being that we live out of state and did not have a 'day of' planner to ensure set up was how I wanted, I typed up a detailed description of what I visioned.A few pieces I purchased and provided were not set up.After getting table measurements from Sarah, I had table runners made to fit specific tables and judging by the presentation, the crew didn't notice. I had a few tables with a runner draped on both sides touching the ground.We had the entire lower level rented out until midnight and I saw some people down there who were not invited guests.We had our photographer for 9hrs, so on the BEO, I noted important times in which things needed to happen.My bridesmaid had to find staff members to start clearing or transitioning the room so we could get first dances captured. Tables were being dragged along the floor and it appeared to be unorganized mass chaos. Again, I understand the space we were working with, however, the crew there should know how to properly transition a space smoothly. At the end of the night, we went to pay for the final bill using a bank card and it was declined. The girl who ran the transaction was very rude to my husband and I. I felt like I was being treated very poorly. The girl had a snippy attitude. We offered to leave our IDs or one stays back while the other went to get a check but she rudely said she would get the manager. He came over and he was fine with my husband leaving his ID while he ran to get the checkbook. If you want a small wedding in an eclectic space, Vinology is perfect. The food was AMAZING. The only things I recommend is having a 'day of' wedding planner or someone to ensure everything is set up the way you visioned it. Do not seat guests in the Vine Room. It is blocked off from the Bubble Room and does not have a speakers.Guests will not be able to hear speeches.

We love Vinology as a restaurant and the idea to have our reception there was wonderful. They are not the best at responsiveness and that is why the review is a little lower. We had a difficult time especially toward the end before our event getting things organized. The wedding planner, DJ and future husband were ironing out details with the Vinology event coordinators the day before!
Order more food and have more chairs than they recommend. People eat a lot and like to have places to sit!
