  We were very pleased we chose the Virago Ensemble and felt their trio added so much to the mood of our wedding. They have a wide variety of songs to choose from. I also requested Annie’s Song by John Denver which the group added for a small fee of $20.

  Incredibly professional and accommodating! Amazing group with a gorgeous sound! More than I hoped for to give our wedding a beautiful sound!

  Meg with Virago was so quick to respond and accommodate special requests for additional songs not included on their song list. She and the whole group were timely, professional, and warm! My guests have commented on how great the music was and how much fun it was to have this group play special requests at the reception! Would highly recommend and definitely would use again for another event!

  Thank you, Virago Ensemble!

  We couldn't be happier with our choices to include string accompaniment for our ceremony (so classy!) and specifically to hire Virago Ensemble! Meg was so easy to work with before our big day and the ceremony itself was so elevated by the ensemble. I love that they have a modern and classical repertoire to select from and we heard from several guests that the prelude music got them emotional before the ceremony even started! I also appreciate that Virago mentioned that the trio has similar sound quality to the quartet for less price, as I wouldn't have known that. Overall, Virago was more economical than a soloist that we had considered, so their prices are very reasonable for a performance of the highest quality.

  beautiful professional music

  we loved having these amazing musicians for our wedding- they were patient with us as we decided our music choices (we went back & forth a lot) but they were always kind and offered suggestions as well. On the day of, their music was perfect! from the moment i heard it start before i walked down the aisle, i started tearing up. We had the cello + violin and it was perfect. thanks again guys!

  Everyone hire this group! They were so easy to communicate with and always responded in a timely manner. I gave them a MASSIVE set list about a month before the wedding of mostly songs that they didn’t have on their list and they learned them all so perfectly in time for the wedding! I have gotten so many compliments from guests about this group and their performance during our ceremony and cocktail hour! We were extremely pleased!

  FANTASTIC music for my reception

  Virago provided a four-piece jazz quartet for my wedding reception. Virago is based in Tallahassee, Florida, home to FSU College of Music, one of the best non-conservatory music programs in the U.S. I knew our quartet would be staffed by FSU music students, so I was confident the music would be excellent--and it was. My gosh, we enjoyed it! Highly recommend Virago.

  Working with Meg brought joy to the planning process! I would absolutely recommend working with her to anyone. She was responsive to all my messages, easily accommodated my musical requests, and brought professionalism to all of our e-communication and interactions.

  The best quartet

  Virago was a fantastic choice for our wedding. They played beautifully for our prelude, processionals, and recessional. They responded quickly and professionally to all communication. They played specific classical pieces and pop song arrangements. They were a fair price for professional musicians. In the midst of COVID-19, my wife and I (both musicians) couldn’t give up having live music at our ceremony and they surpassed every expectation we had of them while adhering to all requirements of the venue. All of our guests loved their playing and my brother-in-law summed it up best when he said to us the quartet was “the best quartet [he’s] ever heard.”

  Meg Terry is so talented

  I hired Meg to play a private concert for a friend's birthday during the Covid 19 pandemic. She played her violin on the patio while my friend sat on the porch. Meg played Meditation by Massenet, Partita no. 3 by Bach and Korngold violin concerto, mvt. 1. In between pieces, she answered our questions about her life and her professional work with the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra. She was easy to reach, easy to talk to, and possibly the best money I've ever spent on a birthday present. I can't say enough good things about her.

  Highly recommend!

  Meg was the violinist at our wedding in September 2019. She made our ceremony feel so elegant, personalized, and special!! She is extremely gifted in her talents and created an ambiance we’d envisioned. We had a few specific song requests, and she was able to give great suggestions and fill in where we were unsure of what we wanted. Meg brought such a kind light happy attitude to our wedding day and we were so pleased everything!

  Would book Virago Ensemble again, 100 times!

  Meg was an absolute joy to work with. She and her fellow musicians played so beautifully and helped to make Mark and Morgan's Ceremony and Cocktail Hour an absolute dream. I will for sure be working with them again in the near future!
