    Virgilio’s

    Virgil and his staff are absolutely amazing. He made our wedding something my wife and I will never forget. The food was perfect and every single person I talked too had nothing but great things to say about it. Virgil also went out of his way to make sure that everything went smoothly on our big day. If you’re looking for a perfect venue with an even better staff, this is the place.

    I recently had my wedding here and everything was exceptional! From the staff, to the venue, to the food (which was beyond delicious)! I highly highly recommend Virgilio's to anyone with any kind of event!

    The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, and relaxing to be on the property. The staff is so helpful, polite, respectful, friendly and giving. They were so nice with everyone at the wedding bith young and old. And the space is just so wonderful and prefect for anyone who is interested in a country wedding. The food was equally amazing, my wife has an onion allergy and they made a special dish just for her.

    The reception was gorgeous and it was everything I expected. The parking situation isn't ideal. There were a few other things that happened during the reception but they were taking care of quickly.

    We were honored to host your wedding. I am sorry we fell short in the "professionalism" category. I even answered calls and texts at 6:32 AM and then again at 9:48 PM. I wish we had a covered parking garage for our guests but like many other business out there sometimes people have to walk in the rain to get to their destination. We did allow the majority of the guests to park inside the gate due to the weather. Everything was taken care of as promised and even did more than what was charged for. Regarding "flexibility", under NY State Law we are able to allow people to bring in their own alcoholic beverages plus this is a part of our income we depend on. I tried to communicate that on many occasions. We are so happy to have shared this day with you and Kevin and your families. Kevin has thanked me personally twice now for taking such great care of his father and for even fixing his plate for him as he was not able to himself. Thanks for the review and best wishes and continued love to you and Kevin.

    Do not recommend

    We were supposed to have our wedding at Virgilio's last year, but had to
    cancel for a number of reasons. In my time dealing with the venue, we
    experienced a lack of responsiveness, unprofessionalism, and poor
    service overall. After giving our deposit, we were told to reach out to set a
    date to meet and discuss details, menu, pricing, etc. We reached out on
    numerous occasions and the owner/planner was always out of town or
    "would get back to me," and never did. We then had to change our
    date due to a conflict with the church (original was June), which
    was nice of him to let us do. However, this took another 2 weeks as
    he was again was busy or out of town. He was also unsure when construction
    would be complete, which is terrifying, so he kept saying a later date
    would be better. This pushed us to Sept, when I had wanted a June
    wedding (needless to say, the construction would not have been
    complete in June). After all this, we cancelled, and lost our deposit. I
    get that most all venues would have kept it, but he had no time
    invested in us to justify keeping it. In all, it was still worth it.
    The venue is overpriced (rates now are much higher) and
    we were just extremely disappointed with the service.

    Virgilio's Event Centre's reply:

    The date was changed many time, which we allowed, than cancelled, then back on again, then off again. We did all we could to accommodate this couple and at after being brought to court our side was proclaimed the winning party. We are sorry we fell short of their expectations but to be fare to the rest of our clients we couldn't continue to change things and have dates open and then not. We have a business to operate and do take care of our customers. We have 5 Star reviews on Fb and will continue to be a professional venue couples can count on.
