Completely relieved all of my worries
Rose was absolutely wonderful to work with. Despite the circumstances with Covid our wedding was smooth and seamless. She complelty satisfied all of our requests and exceeded our expectations. It was amazing!
Everything happens for a reason!
We got rained out but Rose tried her hardest to make it happen. She had set up twice and had to tear it back down both times due to rain. She said we could do it the following day. I asked if the minister could come out to my husband's sister's house and get us married that night because the date was our 2year anniversary and the minister did come out and married us there. It was beautiful, i just wanted to marry my love! Rev. Daniel Campbell was amazing! The next day Rose and her crew set up at 245 for us, so we could get photos of us on the beach and all! It all worked out and was amazing! Thank you all so much! I highly recommend! Robert Hamm was our photographer and he also did fantastic. It was so hot and he handled it like no other. Boutique Weddings Crafted from a True Professional
Rose, Raph, Tiffany and the team at the VBWC are wedding heroes in my book. Here's why:
I'm a wedding photographer. I have photographed over 300 weddings since 2011 (big and small). The single most important factor for a perfect wedding is planning and coordination. With it, every vendor, your timeline, and guest interactions will go off like clockwork. Without it and headaches arise quickly.
Rose and the team are efficient, friendly, and compassionate. I once saw Rose praying with a bride who was in tears from nerves and the stress of the day. Talk about compassion. She helped the bride calm down and relax from all of the overwhelming feelings. Yes, the maid of honor was there and the entire bridal party too, but once one of them started crying they all started crying. So the only one left to help was Rose, and she was on the spot.
The final thing would like to share with you is that I have personally worked with the VBWC for the past two years. I have seen the dedication to setup and attention to detail that Rose and her staff takes throughout the planning and wedding day. Their duty to perfection helps me make better pictures for the bride and groom.
Why, How? Simple. When the schedule is planned, backup plans are in place, attention to the colors and wedding details have been seen through; well, it makes for a relaxed wedding party (leading to more smiles), and makes for beautiful detail shots (because of all the care in the set-up).
It's true that there is more to beautiful wedding photography than what I just mentioned, but like building a house needs a good foundation, crafting a perfect wedding needs one too. And in 300 weddings, I've seen some good wedding planners, but Rose and the VBWC are absolutely the bedrock of your special day.

Everything was flawless
Rose was easy to get ahold of and work with. Day of - her assistants were phenomenal. Friendly and warm and great at what they do. Our plan changed due to weather but it was seamless.
The arbor was GORGEOUS. I asked for something unique on my bouquet and it was no issue and better than expected.
The officiant they work with was great. The photographer was an all star.
I wanted to have a very hands-off experience since we were eloping out of state and VA Beach Weddings made that happen. All we had to do was pick songs bouquet colors and show up!

Awesome experience!
Rose and her assistant were wonderful. There was minimal stress on my part and I had very little to worry about. She contacted me ever so often and brought all of my ideas to life. The decor was very beautiful and I can tell they are experienced. I had an amazing day thanks to Virginia Beach Wedding Company! -

Rose and VB Wedding Company offered more than I expected. Her experience and patience was such a blessing. We were planning our wedding on short notice and she was able to coordinate all the vendors for the ceremony and reception. Everything was beautiful, our guest raved about the beach set up and the reception all flowed together seamlessly. I am so happy we found Rose and her team. Everyone we came in contact with was professional and really showed they cared about our wedding day. -

Overall my wedding was beautiful, however there were a few major details of my wedding that have been nagging at me over the past month that I can't seem to get over. Since we began planning my wedding, I had a very specific bridal bouquet picked out (cascading orchids). Not only did I not have that bouquet, I actually didn't have a bouquet at all as I stood at the beginning of the aisle. We had to pause the wedding so that someone could run to their car and get a bouquet. I was very disappointed because the bouquet I was given didn't look anything like the one I chose and it wasn't the right color at all. There was some discussion about a refund on the bouquet, but it's been a month so I'm not sure if that's really going to happen.
Next, the song that was supposed to play after all the "I Do's" was "Champion" by Kanye West (from the Graduation album). We chose that song specifically because my husband is an MMA fighter and he recently won the Super Heavyweight Championship of his division. If you Google it, its the very first song that pops up. Well, apparently there's 2 songs by Kanye called "Champion" and one has EXTREMELY explicit lyrics. Guess which one played at my wedding. I was SO embarrassed and my parents, grandparents, and elderly guests were really offended.
Another disappointment was the missing "uplighting" at the reception. That was one of the very first things I asked for when we first began the planning process! Uplighting gives your whole reception a romantic feel, not to mention it makes the room look gorgeous! It's in the contract that I signed, but I wasn't told that it wasn't available until after the wedding.
There were a few other minor things that I can deal with because I understand that no wedding is going to be perfect, but these 3 things are still really bothering me even one month later.Virginia Beach Wedding Company's reply:

We do appreciate your review, and have processed the refund for you. I was happy to discuss your concerns after the wedding and believe we have had a very good line of communication. Our goal is to ensure each couple has a wedding that is beautiful and we strive for perfection. Did we miss it on the bouquet and uplighting. On the lightning yes on the bouquet it was not the one that I showed you the picture of because as I shared with you at our meeting that not all flowers will be in season. (It was a picture from a wedding that my florist created specifically for another bride). Also you had a bouquet with another variety of orchids that we did not uncharge you for (based on the contract that says standard rose bouquet). Since you began planning your wedding would not be an accurate statement of what happened that pictured was showed to you only a month prior to the wedding when I shared it from another wedding we created.
The music we played was the choice selection you gave us and we asked you at our meeting to make sure that you do not choose music with explicit language. It is up to you as the couple to ensure that you let us know what version and to choose the music carefully, this was made very clear when we met. Again we work very hard and as the pictures of your wedding show it was beautiful. -

We hired VBWC to handle all the wedding issues for our Virginia Beach Wedding. We had discussed ahead of time the Color of the Wedding - Terracott and Pink. The Bride specifically stated she wanted a BOHO wedding style and wanted flowers to match. Rehearsal time came - we were outside the venue waiting on Rose to show up, she wasnt answering her phone - it was raining, and the doors were locked. She finally showed up about 10 after the time she told us to be there. The sign outside the Venue said someone else's name. I asked if there was so way we could get the sign to say Congratulations Nicole and Jacob - but Rose told me that the owner of the property was not around and so they could not change the names on the sign. Such a bummer especially since we didn't get the chance to have the beach wedding as we thought. The 2 poster bamboo arbor, draped in ohh...so pretty white chiffon and flower tie back or customize this arbor with colored chiffon. was not even her color and did not have the Boho grasses that she requested.
The wedding was moved inside due to rain - no biggie, but when we showed up to get dressed 1/2 before the wedding - there was another group there having rehearsal. I tried to reach Rose but she did not answer her phone. 15 mins before wedding was to start we finally just walked in and started to get dressed in the room. Rose NEVER even introduced us to the photographer, or the pastor. Here it was 5 mins before the wedding and the Bride arrived and since the people we thought were the photographers for us were busy taking pictures of the sand bottles I went out and asked if they could get pictures of the Bride getting dressed with her girls - since it was raining we certainly were not going to have time to spend after the wedding getting pics by the water. The photographer went off on me and pulled me aside telling me that I did not pay for before pictures. I told him, it was my understanding that I had paid for a photographer for 2 hrs and it was officially 7pm and that he certainly wasnt doing his job that he was getting paid for. The whole point was I hired him for 2 hrs to take pics I really didnt care where they were taking but they had better be of my daughter and the wedding party. After some annoying condescending talk he agreed to go in and take a few pics of her and her flower girl and ring bearer. When the wedding finally began - I was holding my daughters 9 month old, who had a pretty stressful day with her Mom getting all fixed up and such. Furthermore she was still breast feeding and things were quite stressful as she hadnt eaten much. When she saw her Mom walk down the aisle - she immediately thought - IM HUNGRY - I want Momma. So she wasnt too happy. Didnt really matter much to us as the wedding was pretty small just mother in law - brides mother and 2 friends. But about 1/2 way thru the minister - felt she needed to ask me - Mother of the Bride to take the Brides baby out of the room as we were very disturbing. I politely said - Thats my baby getting married and No I wont leave. Brides bouquet - was simply white roses - no color at all!!! The pictures, after we finally got them - were so white washed with the purple background. They look absolutely terrible. The seat covers were not in her color they were pink.
All this was discussed ahead of time.
In my opinion - and I am not that hard to please, the money spent was totally not worth it. We would have been better off winging it ourselves.
Hope this helps others know better what questions to ask in advance and what to look forward to.

i reached out about a week ago eagerly awaiting a reply because this was the venue/ wedding planner i was most excited to use. i loved the venue that they had and their location was perfect for me. but, she ruined it all by not replying until i reached out 3 different ways and still took another day to give me a proper response. we made an appointment to meet via zoom and yet again i had to reach out to her the day of to get the zoom link. then 5 pm came and went with no answer. i emailed her, no answer. not even the next morning. i got no apology for the late response, no apology for missing the meeting. this is not how a future bride wants to start out her wedding planning. i am beyond disapointed.
