  Gorgeous Venue and Completely Accommodating!!!

  My fiance and I booked the gorgeous Virginia House and were very much looking forward to our September 2020 event there. Unfortunately, we ended up needing to postpone our event because of the Covid-19 crisis. Virginia House has been super accommodating and happy to be flexible to move the date of our event by a year without charging us anything extra. Every interaction including our postponement has been amazing and exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!

  Easy - creative space

  After meeting with Laura and discovering the variety of options in how we can fill the space, we are very excited to host our wedding reception here. Great location within city limits and proximity to our ceremony venue at a different location downtown...not to mention the given connections to other vendors. Looking forward to pulling all the threads together!

  Elegant and Classy!

  This venue is everything we didn't know we were looking for. Laura at the museum is so nice and from the first encounter with her at the venue showing, she gave us all of the info we needed, asked all of our questions and showed each space available for rent. We ended up booking shortly after that and are so excited for our October wedding! The space is so elegant, sophisticated and spacious! We are counting down the days :)

  Loved using the VAHS for our wedding reception. The open area by the gift shop was great for cocktail hour and inside the hall was spacious enough to accommodate all of our guests. They were super nice to work with and overall I loved it! Lighting and chair rentals are a must though! They really transformed the space.

  Gorgeous venue

  Overall the VA house was an iconic venue for our snowy March ceremony. Great value and beautiful setting so close to the city.
  There was a venue coordinator change during our planning and the only negative was that we were told the week of the wedding that there was absolutely NO option to move the ceremony inside for inclement weather. We completely understand capacity restrictions due to fire codes and the historic setting. However, we were told when we book that we of course would be able to hold the ceremony inside if it were raining. Thankfully it SNOWED instead of rained so our guests endured the outside but truthfully it was worth it and we wouldn't have changed it if we could. The lack of an inclement weather option caused lots of panic in stress in the final days before the wedding and we felt we were given no options or solution by the venue.
  I still recommend this venue, just be aware of the risk if you have a larger guest count and need a back up plan for rain!
