  Amazing and Talented Photographer!

  Helen is so amazing! She photographed my brother's wedding and I when my wedding date was set, she was the first vendor I reached out to. She is wonderful to work with, easygoing and understands the importance of the moments of a special day - not just getting photos taken.

  Helen is an absolute joy to work with! From the moment we met her during our engagement session we felt as if we had known her for years; she made us so comfortable and kept us laughing naturally in front of the camera. We knew she would make our wedding day just as special, and it certainly was. Helen’s positivity and joy for life, and especially love, radiate to those around her. The moments she captured of our loved ones celebrating with us in that magical secret garden are simply stunning. Friends over the years have mentioned never utilizing their wedding photos. Rest assured her work will be hanging on our walls for all to see! We hope to have more exciting life moments she can capture for us in the near future! Thank you Helen, for making the day fun and lending your talent to us so that we can reminisce about October 17th, 2020 for the rest of our lives through your beautiful photos.

  The BEST wedding photographer

  I LOVE my wedding photos! Helen was so wonderful to work with, she was with us while we got ready and felt like a family member. She is professional, easy to communicate with (a plus when dealing with lots of family!), and gave me everything I wanted and more. I cherish my photos and recommend her to all my friends, in fact she ended up doing my sister-in-laws wedding because my SIL loved her work from my wedding so much. You will not regret using Helen, it will be the best decision you make aside from marrying the love of your life :)

  Everything you want in a wedding photographer!

  Helen did an incredible job capturing every moment of our wedding. She traveled to Raleigh to photograph our wedding after Christmas last year. Helen was able to organize our large family and get all of the family photos we wanted in an efficient way so that we were able to enjoy the reception. I am so thankful that we chose Helen to photograph our wedding. We love all of our photos!

  PERFECT! Helen was the best wedding photographer I could have imagined.

  Helen went above and beyond as a wedding photographer. From arriving early, to doing the funky chicken to get smiles from the kids, she nailed every aspect. My husband and I will cherish these photos for the rest of our lives and I’m officially hanging wedding photos all over my house 🤷🏻‍♀️

  Helen is without a doubt a crucial part to any bride and grooms wedding experience. She is organized, professional, experienced, personable, fun, and is able to capture every single perfect moment without even realizing she’s there. She’s more than reasonably priced, although after working with her and seeing pictures from engagement, rehearsal, wedding, etc I would’ve paid a million dollars to have her!!

  Oh and she was completely patient with our wild 18 month old who just wasn't feeling the heat, crowd, or pictures!
  If you're looking for a photographer to capture every moment you ever imagined then some, on YOUR special day, Helen is your girl!!!

  Helen did an amazing job with our wedding photos - they were absolutely stunning! Not only was the quality of the photos amazing, but Helen is such an easy person to work with and is so sweet. From all the meetings beforehand, to fitting right in with the wedding party and family, she made us super comfortable along the way. Would highly recommend hiring her - it was a great decision!

She gave us perfect directions for her vision, especially for a couple that wasn't sure how to "pose," and she was a blast to work with. Helen is a natural; her professionalism and grace made us feel natural and at ease. Her pictures are absolutely stunning, we were over the moon with excitement when we received our sneak peak. Her talent radiates in a single photo; they were everything we wanted and more. I would recommend Helen to anyone and everyone! We can't wait for her to shoot our wedding!

  I am beyond amazed and grateful for the service that we received from Helen. Our wedding was during the week that Hurricane Matthew hit the OBX in October 2016. Not only was Helen diligent about keeping up communication with me, she was willing to move our wedding to the day before our scheduled date if needed! Luckily it didn't come down to that and we had the wedding during the planned day, however just knowing that she would be willing to move our wedding to the day before with 1 day warning provided relief that this bride in meltdown mode desperately needed. Helen was warm and friendly and helped our families feel at ease during the necessary awkward family photos and she has a gift when it comes to catching candid moments. Her bubbly personality is infectious and helps you feel more relaxed during such a hectic day. Also, she was able to keep her cool and was nothing but professional even though a hurricane was barreling down on her town just 12 short hours after our reception ended. I plan on using her services for beach maternity and family photographs in the future and I would ABSOLUTELY recommend her to future OBX brides.

  Working with Helen was a dream come true! We decided to hire a professional photographer at the last minute and with recent budget issues. A friend helped me find Helen and what a blessing that was! Helen responded to my e-mail almost immediately, set up a mutually convenient time to meet within a few days, talked with me about all my concerns, wishes, etc. A few weeks later when I messed up a meeting date, Helen was accommodating and QUICKLY left the gym to get to me at the church so she could see the space.   Helen was an absolute pleasure to work with from start to finish. She took time to answer all our questions and address any concerns that we had. We can't thank her enough for all she did for us, our friends and our families. She was able to capture so much of the day and the entire ceremony. Helen took amazing pictures and was able to get them edited and up online in record time. We received a usb containing our pictures in a beautiful package within two weeks of the wedding. We would highly recommend Visuals by Helen to anyone in need of a photographer for their wedding.

We can't thank her enough for all she did for us, our friends and our families. She was able to capture so much of the day and the entire ceremony. Helen took amazing pictures and was able to get them edited and up online in record time. We received a usb containing our pictures in a beautiful package within two weeks of the wedding. We would highly recommend Visuals by Helen to anyone in need of a photographer for their wedding.

  Our experience with Visuals by Helen could not have been better. Helen is a wonderful person with a great eye for photography. She made many suggestions and ultimately provided just what we asked for. Having my picture taken is not my favorite thing to do but Helen made it easy. Her calm, endearing personality is just what a bride needs. She blended into the background but was also front and center when necessary, working with the family and bridal party to get just the right shots.
  Our venue was outside at sunset which created obstacles in itself. Helen was patient and captured just the right photos using what light she had. Ultimately capturing the sunset at the perfect moment.
  The finished product was delivered in a very timely manner in a wonderful, creative package. Attention to detail is clearly a priority to Helen and just the trait you want in your photographer.
  Helen is a native to the Outer Banks so she knows the area and all it's beauty. Trust her to take your wedding or any other photos you need, you won't be sorry.
