  Vanessa is amazing

  Vanessa is hands down the best. From our first phone call, she made me feel at ease about the whole process. She sent us some vow examples and was always quick to respond to my questions. She ensured the readings for the day were exactly what my husband and I wanted. Vanessa was at the ceremony site before we even arrived. She speaks so well and made us feel comfortable throughout the ceremony. We are lucky to have found her.

  Wonderful, Amazing, Kind, Spectacular, Excellent, Magnificent!

  As most of you can probably guess from my title, we were extremely grateful to have Vanessa as our officiant. I happened to meet her at a bridal expo two months before my wedding & she made EVERY effort to work out times/dates so she could officiate our wedding (even with a packed schedule!!!) She went above and beyond to ensure our ceremony was tailored specifically to us & that we were aware and comfortable every step of the way. I cannot recommend her enough. She is a lovely, caring, and professional officiant with a touch of soul & personality. We were honored to have Vanessa as apart of our big day.

  Exceptional Celebrant!

  With only 24 hours before our day, the Blue Ridge Parkway was entirely closed. Vanessa teamed up with our planner, Renee, to brainstorm and save the moment. It turned out to be everything we could hope for! From the time she put in to get to know us, to making us laugh and cry happy tears all in one moment with the beautifully written ceremony, we’re so grateful!

As a same-sex couple, we needed to choose a wedding officiant who not only embraced inclusivity but also exuded professionalism, qualities that Vanessa exemplified flawlessly. Vanessa curated a hospitable atmosphere, centering our special day on our shared love as a couple. The presence of Vanessa as our officiant was integral to the essence of our elopement ceremony.

  Amazing Officiant

  Vanessa was amazing. Our ceremony was so beautiful and thoughtful. It was so nice to be able to include our guests as well. I think the ring warming portion was such a special touch and I'm so glad Vanessa recommended doing that. She is a sweet woman who loves what she does and it definitely shows. My marriage started off on a beautiful note thanks to Vanessa

  Vanessa was incredible to work with!! We reached out to her just days before our wedding due to unforeseen circumstances and not only was she willing to help us out on such short notice, she created the most beautiful personal vows for us! She walked us through everything and took the time to get to know us. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same without her involvement. I couldn’t recommend her enough!!!

  Our Special Day

  Vanessa played a huge part in our wedding ceremony. We wanted an intimate and personal ceremony. From our first communication with Vanessa it was clear she wanted our wedding to be exactly what we wanted. She sent sample vows and we worked on them together, she asked questions to make the vows and her comments reflect us, our personalities and values. We both highly recommend Vanessa.

  Vow Renewal Perfection

  What can I say that won’t sound cheesy!!?
  
  Vanessa gave away a vow renewal at her Ribbon Cutting and it actually was an event we could attend so I jokingly put our name in because our five year wedding anniversary was coming up and then WE WON!
  
  Our first elopement was us & our kiddos/parents and we were in the middle of some heavy things in life, I knew I wanted to renew more privately this time to renew our relationship.
  
  Vanessa helped us do just that 🫶🏻 she put together the perfect intimate ceremony for us and really made it feel so ❤️

  Vanessa was the best! She is so sweet, so kind, and she truly cares about you and your partner. I loved having her as our officiate.   We cannot say enough about how amazing it was working with Vanessa. Like I’m sure everyone else, we were really nervous when looking for an officiant because you are bringing in a stranger to help summarize your relationship and create a memorable moment for you, your partner, and your families and friends. Vanessa blew our expectations out of the water. She scheduled meetings with us to talk about our relationship in a very low stress environment and coached us through the whole officiant process which was so great. She organized our bridal party well during the rehearsal, helped the entire ceremony run much smoother, and really lowered the stress of the entire event. During the ceremony she really encapsulated our relationship really well and created a very personalized, memorable, and lovely service. She made sure to educate herself on cultural aspects of our wedding and expertly performed them while explaining the different aspects of our wedding to the crowd, which our guests appreciated. Finally, she filled out our wedding certificate with some of the most beautiful calligraphy we have ever seen, creating such a treasured piece of memorabilia for us to have forever. We highly recommend Vanessa as an officiant, she is sure to help make your day special.

  May Wedding Ceremony

  Vanessa did such an amazing job at our ceremony in May 2024. Vanessa made the effort to get to know us before the ceremony to make it personal. Me and my husband’s family were also very happy with how the ceremony turned out and still talk about how “beautiful” our ceremony was. We have nothing but great things to say about working with Vanessa!

  Best Officiant Ever!

  Vanessa did a beautiful job of conducting our wedding ceremony. She made it personable and so memorable for my husband and I. We ran into some hiccups with obtaining our marriage license due to my husbands career and Vanessa went out of her way to help us and found a way for us to get our marriage license in time for our wedding. We are forever grateful for her!!

  Amazing service!

  I have no words!! Vanessa was the best officiant for us! She was very calm and polite during each of our meets and when it came down to the big day she excelled & went above and beyond to help me calm my nerves. She helped me do things that were not on her to-do list. She incorporated my culture into the ceremony which was very meaningful to me and my family. I appreciate her very much and think she is not only an amazing officiant but an amazing woman as well. My guests love how she worded the ceremony and we still get tons of compliments on her! Vanessa thank you for being a part of our big day!

  Vanessa was honestly a dream come true when it came time for our wedding. We eloped & didn’t really share our details or plans with family and friends. We wanted our day to be about us. Vanessa held our hand through the whole process, checked in on us, prepped us with examples to write our vows, reviewed the process of an actual wedding ceremony with us. Vanessa made it all happen seamlessly for us even while we were 12 hours away. She even helped me get into my dress & helped my spouse with his detail pieces. Highly recommend!

  Responsive, professional, & personal!

  We loved working with Vanessa and having her be part of our special day! We first connected with Vanessa when I wanted a family friend to perform our wedding ceremony. She had many resources and steps to help us ensure the ceremony checked all the boxes and was legal. When it ended up not working out for our friend to perform the ceremony, Vanessa agreed to drive from Lynchburg to Richmond to perform the ceremony for us, helping us incorporate our family friend as a guest speaker! She was kind, well spoken, and a joy to be around. She was so quick to respond and answer all of my (many) questions during the wedding planning process. We appreciated all she did to help our ceremony flow well and to make our day special to us.

She somehow balances being a complete professional and being personable so beautifully. We live about 3 1/2 hours away, but we hope that our paths will cross again. Thank you again!!!

  Vanessa Saved our Perfect Day!

  Admittedly, Vanessa was an officiant recommended to us by our original officiant who had to cancel a week before our wedding. Despite the circumstances, Vanessa stepped up to the plate with great energy and passion. She was incredibly reassuring, supportive, and calming throughout the entire process. With only a week to get to know us, she treated us like old friends. She assertively took charge of both the rehearsal and wedding ceremony and everyone followed her lead. Even before the ceremony, she came to both my spouse and me to ask if we were okay and if we needed anything. She took pictures with us and even got a tattoo from our tattoo artist that was offering Friday-the-13th style tattoos during the reception. With something that could have been a disaster, she gave great guidance and saved the day! We would highly recommend Vanessa to any couple wanting an officiant that is open, accommodating, supportive, and kind.

  Admittedly, Vanessa was an officiant recommended to us by our original officiant who had to cancel a week before our wedding.   Vanessa was absolutely amazing! My fiancé and I wanted to have a personal ceremony that felt like a friend or family member talking without the stress of coordinating the ceremony ourselves. Vanessa took the time to chat with us before we even booked her to ensure that my fiancé could hear her with his hearing aids, and make sure that he was comfortable with her speaking voice before ever having to put down a deposit. All of our gas raved about how incredible the ceremony was, and how personal it felt! Cannot recommend her more!

  Vanessa was an outstanding officiant for our wedding! She took the time to get to know us as a couple and wrote a beautiful and personal ceremony. We received so many compliments from our guests on how warm and intimate the ceremony felt. She also helped us come up with a unique unity ceremony that fit us as a couple and made each of our guests feel special and included. She overall set the tone for how we wanted to experience our ceremony. It was an honor to be married by Vanessa and we would recommend her to anyone!
