    Wabeek was an absolutely incredible place to have our wedding this past weekend-it was honestly better than we could have imagined. The service this venue offers is off the charts from every single person we encountered. Bethany is the director of catering sales and was our contact person and she was wonderful. She has such a nice personality and was truly a pleasure to work with and she was always prompt with my countless questions and always was as accommodating as possible. The food is incredible, not only at the tasting for 5 people but at the wedding for 130 people. Our guests raved about the quality of food and the servers were quick to get food out-I didn't hear of anything less than delicious and hot. We took pictures after the ceremony outside and we had several servers that were waiting with our signature drinks and our appetizers and they continued to serve our group outside the entire time we were out there while the rest of the guests enjoyed the cocktail hour inside. There was one server who I had asked for a drink and she literally stood waiting with the single drink for me for at least 10 minutes while I was caught in pictures-it was mind blowing how good the service was. The staff boxed up all of my centerpieces and linens and such for the wedding and reception so when I went to pick it all up the next day, it was a breeze. My husband and I are so happy we chose Wabeek and would happily recommend this venue to anyone.

    Wabeek Country Club and they staff were awesome! Bethany, Event Coordinator, took care of us and made our dream wedding come true!!! I would recommend Wabeek Country Club to anyone!

    Wabeek was the perfect venue for both our ceremony and our reception. I wanted a unique venue that could hold both my ceremony and our reception and Wabeek was able to accomidate. We had a fall wedding so the floor to ceiling windows overlooked the fall colors and was simply beautiful. The staff was able to accomidate any request I could throw at them and the entire night went smoothly. I could not have asked for a better venue and a better staff!

    Melissa Allan is awesome!!! All of the staff was so helpful and accommodating. We were so happy with the food, decorations, set up, and presentation of our reception. Many guests honestly said, "This was the best wedding I have ever been to." In addition, we looked around and found that Wabeek was the nicest country club and the most reasonably priced. We were very happy with our reception and would highly recommend Wabeek to anyone who is getting married in the metro Detroit area.

    Everything was PERFECT! I was complemented all night on what a great reception it was. The food was good, the room was beautiful and the staff was very accomodating.

    We had a wonderful experience at Wabeek CC. The inside and outside are gorgeous and pristine. Working with Melissa Allan made the whole planning process incredibly smooth. Our guests raved about the food and service, and how beautiful a venue it was. Truth be told, I cannot imagine having our wedding anywhere else!

    Wabeek was the perfect spot if you want to have a large wedding. I have never been to a wedding where the staff was so attentive to not only the bride's needs but also every guests. After our wedding many of my guests commented that the service at Wabeek was unlike nothing they had ever experienced at a wedding with 250 people. The wedding planner worked hard with us before the wedding. One drawback is the room is very long. Guests may feel disconnected from the event at hand. The planner helped us to devise a great floor plan that improved the situtation.
    The view from the reception site is beautiful. No need to travel to a park or anything for pictures because Wabeek has such beautiful grounds.
    The food was very good. I wasn't as impressed with the chicken as I was at the tasting before the wedding. Luckily most of our guests got the filet, which won rave reviews.

    Horrible, fake, lies

    First off, my review from months ago has been deleted. Update since: was contacted and told we would be receiving a refund for what went wrong. After months and months of “processing” and me emailing several times, I got response from the very person who promised us a refund of some kind that they wish us the best but all they can offer is a golf round for my husband. They are deleting reviews and covering up their horrible service. Do not trust them with your special day.

    Review from before;

    To start, this venue is STUNNING and the food, bar and wait staff made my day absolutely amazing and I wouldn't change my wedding day for the world. However, I wish I could say that I recommended this venue to a bride and groom who is looking now. When I booked this as our venue in the Fall of 2017, I would have absolutely recommended it, the staff was AMAZING the second my fiancé and I walked in. The coordinator (Marty) was awesome, easy to communicate with and get in contact with, he was funny and was willing to do anything it took to make our day beyond perfect. However, about one month before our wedding day I was no longer receiving responses from Marty, which was unlike him because he would respond very promptly typically. So, I called the venue and found out that he had moved positions and there was a new coordinator..ONE MONTH before our wedding day and not a single person contacted me to tell me. I scheduled a meeting to meet and talk with her. I left my job early and drove an hour. Well, she had left early and decided not to call me to tell me. I was already quite frustrated but also I know things happen and I let it go. I finally met with her and she PROMISED me that all of the sudden changes the venue was making due to new ownership would be finished and perfect for my day (there was contraction EVERYWHERE and I had no idea that was happening). I double checked that the things Marty was promising me were still going to happen and she confirmed. Those things included, a second bar opening up on the other side, my cake being cut and individually served to guests and that the groom suite would be the way it was when we looked (they promised us they weren't doing construction down there). Well, there was no second bar, my cake was cut and set on a table for guests to get themselves and they were not told this AND, last but not least when my now husband walked into Wabeek with his groomsmen, the groom suite had been completely destroyed by construction. They had no where to get ready, Kim (new "coordinator") was not there at 11 am as our coordinator was supposed to be there by 9:00 as we were promised the day we booked. Nobody could find a place for him and his groomsmen to get ready in and luckily it was nice out they had to hangout on the patio all day and then get dressed in the golf locker room...Luckily I didn't know this unit the next day because it would have ruined my day. But, it has killed me for the last month knowing that his day was so chaotic and communication was TERRIBLE. I think the worst part is that I had since sent Kim an email to discuss all of these things and it has now been about 3 weeks and I have not received a response from her or the venue. ALSO, my husband was promised that him and 3 others could play a round a golf on a Monday after the wedding and we after now 4 phone calls and messages he has not received a phone call back to do this. I truly think that if ownership, management and staffing didn't change that none of these things would have happened and it absolutely kills me. The updates are stunning I will not lie, however on your wedding day you want and absolutely need good communication from your coordinator and venue and follow through, it is NOT okay. Also, I am sure with these updates there prices have gone up and they were expensive before updates. Please, find yourself another venue there are plenty more that you will get much more out of.

    Poor Customer Service

    Summary: DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE!! I REPEAT, DO NOT GET MARRIED HERE! Very disappointed with their lack of customer service and SEVERE lack of communication.

    For context, my now wife and I were looking for a venue to celebrate our multi-day Indian-American fusion wedding. We are happy we did not go with Wabeek for our big wedding day. The below points detail how poor Wabeek’s customer service is and how terrible it is to work with Diane, their event management contact (I’ll note that Diane is very sweet and nice to talk to in person, however, don’t expect anything to really get accomplished from conversations) - please do not waste your time with this venue.

    Worst Response Rate: To start, they are terrible to get a hold of. We tried calling and emailing just to schedule a tour and discuss quotes. No one responds. I once was on hold for over an hour. When Diane answered the phone, she barely listened to me and said she would call back in 15 minutes. She never returned the call.

    Terrible Customer Service: Even after meeting multiple times in person, it was evident that Diane never remembered us. We had to re-explain the details of our event each time. This was very disappointing, because we flew all the way from California to finalize our wedding venue, and Diane barely gave us any time.

    Poor Quality Quote Creation: Diane never even finished sending us all the quotes for all events - they were sloppily done and did not reflect basic information that we discussed such as guest count and event times. There were also so many little hidden charges - for example, it costs $100/hour to rent the bridal suite and there is a valet fee per guest at Wabeek.
