I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am that we chose DJ Washburn for our wedding. I don't think people realize just how important a DJ is for your wedding - it can literally make or break the day (and we've seen it happen.) Chris takes the time to genuinely get to know his couples, and I think that made all the difference. He knew us as people and was such a hype man on the day of the wedding. We told him our priority was that the dance floor never be empty and BOY did he deliver! There was literally one song where there was a tiny lull, and he immediately read the room and adjusted and it was a party all night. Even during dinner, he played songs specific to my husband & I (like a remix of the Jaws theme for me and LOTR for him, because since he had Zoomed with us prior he knew we were giant nerds) and we would jam with him from across the room. It was honestly just like having a friend as our DJ. It's been almost a month and we still have people telling us how incredible Chris was (and his assistant too!) No amount of praise is enough - he was perfect! -

DJ Devan was absolutely amazing! He was very attentive & responsive right out the gate. He met with us several times to make sure we were comfortable and everything was exavtly how we wanted. He did all the music for our ceremony, & the lighting at the reception made all the difference. Throughout the day and leading up to, he coordinated with the wedding planner and other vendors to ensure everything went smoothly. Checking in with me as well to keep everything on track. Everybody loved the photobooth and the album with all the pictures which was ours to take that night. My dad passed away 2 years ago and I was heartbroken to not have him there on my wedding day. Devan put together a dedication video that he played in place of our dance together and I can't put into words what that meant to me! I will cherish that forever! I have been telling everybody how amazing Devan and Washburn Entertainment were and would recommend them to anybody that wants their day to turn out perfectly! I cannot forget to mention Devan's assistant, Amador. He was great and I know he will be an amazing DJ doing his own weddings and parties soon. Thank you so much for making our day so special and all we dreamed it would be ❤ -

Phenomenal
Despite COVID, we had our wedding Sept 2021 safely and we had an absolute ball doing so!
Initially, My wife and I had an idea of what we wanted and how we wanted it to go for our wedding, but our DJ made our wedding absolutely amazing! Huge shout out to DJ DOUGHBOY & Washburn ENT!!!!
DJ Doughboy maintained a level of professionalism that only comes with years of experience, which made me feel he was genuinely invested in our wedding. I felt DJ Doughboy was intentional and made multiple calls to introduce himself and company. DJ Doughboy must have studied the business acumen of wedding planning and formal entertainment services because he eased our typical heightened feelings about the event.
DJ Doughboy understood his purpose and the important role he played on this event which we entrusted him to do. His actions were deliberate and planned thoroughly. Questions were forthcoming, addressed appropriately, and our preferences were valued and prioritized.

Chris and his team were absolutely incredible to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process in Ithaca!
I’m a detail-oriented person myself so deeply appreciated Chris’ professional, highly organized, and fun presence throughout our wedding process. Chris handled so many components of our wedding - from the amplification for our ceremony, to cocktail hour music, to being our MC for the night, to the lighting, to the reception with live musicians. Everything ran so well and the dance floor was packed the entire night with guests from all walks of life and ages - family, friends, aunts and uncles alike.
Before planning a wedding, I didn’t realize just how critical a DJ is to making a wedding run smoothly. That person ends up being the key coordinator for the night - handling introductions, announcing and facilitating key components like first dances and speeches, and making sure the flow of the music engages all guests. Thanks to Chris, my husband and I were confident that each aspect of our wedding would be covered seamlessly.
Chris was also very responsive to our input. When we asked if he could help us add live musicians to perform alongside him, he sourced a drummer and several saxophonists for us. It made our wedding so unique, and afterwards, many guests specifically said how amazing they thought Washburn Entertainments was.

We could not have been happier with the service provided by Washburn Entertainment! We worked closely with both DJ Washburn and DJ Tori Vee - they are both such warm, personable, hilarious people! Planning for what we wanted went smoothly and the night of DJ Tori Vee made sure we had a BLAST. Friends cannot stop talking about how much fun they had and the great mix of music we had. Would book with them again in a heartbeat! -

The easiest and best decision we made during wedding planning was hiring Chris Washburn and his team. From the first contact to the last song on the wedding day, Chris was made everything easy and so special. Chris was very communicative and made the planning process very enjoyable. We had some unique ideas and not only did he incorporate them flawlessly, but he was energetic and excited to make our day unique and reflect our personalities. Chris and his team shine as not only DJs but as master of ceremonies. Chris went with the flow, pivoted when needed, and truly made our ceremony and reception better than we could have ever imagined. I would trust anyone Chris hires as a member of his team. We still receive compliments from our guests!!
I could go on and on about the talent and professionalism but all you need to know is HIRE THEM. -

Chris is hands down the most professional and fun DJ we could have possibly hoped for. He and his team were amazing on our wedding day, even through a last minute ceremony change because of rain, the music was perfect. Everyone LOVED the photobooth and went through it multiple times. We all had as many strips printed as we needed so that everyone could have a copy AND he emailed me all of the digital copies to share via social media. We went with the TV screens setup and Chris added SO many personal touches, clips and audio of us from our ceremony that had JUST happened, slideshows of our engagement/life photos, and special video sequences as the music played throughout the night. (I was blown away by the Harry Potter tie in and that he knew how obsessed I am). We were also able to make special video messages for our parents that played during the mother/son dance etc. He curates a playlist based on all of your likes and there is never a dull moment. His mixes are great and you get a bigger variety of music without listening to entire songs. His setup and demeanor are both sleek and modern, giving other DJ's a run for their money. The uplighting was perfect as well, he used a soft amber color that complimented our natural wood colored barn venue. What really sets Chris apart is all of the personal, emotional touches. Those are the moments that we and our guests will remember the most from the day. Overall, I can't recommend Chris and his team enough, they really went above and beyond to make our day stress-free and the most fun we've ever had. -

Allison Sent on 06/17/2018Chris and his staff went utterly above and beyond for my wedding. Not only at the wedding itself but from the moment I inquired about him almost two years ago.
During that long process, he always knew who I was, knew exactly when my wedding was and what we had talked about, and never forgot any detail at all.
When I told him I wanted to make a slideshow for my mother and grandfather instead of a dance he said, "you've got a lot on your plate, would you like for me to make it instead?" OF COURSE I jumped all over it - all I had to do was give him the song and it was absolutely perfect and all three of us - my mother, grandfather, and myself were crying on the dance floor watching it.
I changed first dance songs on him last minute - no problem. Needed our new song cut down and processional edited - he was on it! Then sent them to me on the agreed upon date to listen and review and, they were exactly what I had asked him to do!
He was perfect and spot on with our music tastes and kept the party going all night long! He was incredible at reading the crowd, spoke when necessary, and mostly just hung in the background making sure people stayed engaged and present.
The highlight, BY FAR, is his use of TVs. He had taken footage of us leaving our ceremony, posing for pictures alone and with our party, and a little during our first dance which was so essential for me to have some concrete memories of the day. It all goes by so quickly, and I had a bit of wedding amnesia. But OF COURSE we got all the raw footage he took in a Dropbox for us to keep and use as we'd like.
His staff were friendly, professional, Tori was just the right amount of professional and fun - I dare say she upstaged me at my own wedding with her sweet, sweet dance moves and I loved every second of it!
THANK YOU CHRIS & TEAM! I just wish we had more family events that we could hire you for more often!! You literally made my wedding day and I'm so glad to have you be apart of it.
