Lakota’s Farm is a gorgeous venue in a gorgeous location. If you are looking for a rustic barn setting and a dream wedding, this is the place! (I mean, check out the chandelier in the barn and the beautiful horses) Working with the team at Lakota’s was always a great experience. From the first phone call, through all communication, during, and after our wedding.. they made us feel like family. They were so helpful with any questions and really helped to give us the wedding of our dreams. Casey and Kimberly are just the sweetest lady’s to work with and we plan to travel back to the farm to attend some of their events in the future! -

Where to even begin?! Lakota’s Farm is as perfect as venues come. Nestled in the foothills of Washington County, the property manages to capitalize on the very best of Upstate New York in every way! From the pastoral views of the surrounding mountains and farmlands to the impeccably kept grounds, Lakota wowed from beginning to end! The barn itself has been restored and reimagined with creativity and function in mind, and serves as a tastefully rustic and raw canvas for your own vibe and vision! With the help of Kim, Alan, Kasey, and the entire Lakota team, our “mid-century modern botanical garden” vision was realized - partnered with the well thought out flow of the grounds and barn space it had our family and friend’s gushing!
We would highly recommend Lakota’s Farm - there’s nothing else like it! -

My husband and I are extremely happy that we had our wedding at Lakota's Farm! Kimberly and her team were friendly, professional, and accommodating to us and our family throughout the entire process. Months later after our September 2019 wedding, our friends and family still keep telling us how absolutely beautiful the entire venue was, including the two private buildings for the couple and the wedding party to get ready separately, the guest greeting station, our outdoor ceremony location, the cocktail hour bar, the reception room upstairs in the barn, and of course the grounds themselves. We would highly recommend Lakota's, and can't wait to go back for one of their public events like the Farm-to-Table Dinners! -

We had our wedding at Lakota's Farm in September 2018 and it was perfect! Kimberly and her team are absolutely amazing. They are organized, responsive, knowledgable, and hard-working. They put forth tremendous care and effort to ensure that we had a seamless and memorable day. We HIGHLY recommend them!!! -

If you’re looking for a rustic/chic barn venue look no further. This venue comes fully equipped to handle the finest and simple wedding to the most grand. Kimberly is a generous soul who makes it her mission to give you the wedding day you deserve. We’ve gotten nothing g but compliments and dropped jaws in response to this venue. -

In November 2018, my now husband and I booked our wedding at Lakota’s Farm for October 10th of 2020.After making three payments, we were hopeful and excited about our special day.
In May 2020 we contacted Kimberly Finney, the owner, and told her we needed to cancel. We, like so many others, were in the food service industry and both lost our jobs. We feared for the safety of ourselves and our 150 guests. She offered to move the date to 2021,however we were unsure about the state of the world a year away and also did not want to wait another year to be married (we ended up getting married in an intimate ceremony near our home).
Despite us citing the impossibility clause in her contract, Kimberly refused to give us any of our deposit back and we were forced to pursue the matter in court. A judge ruled awarding us the full amount less the non-refundable booking fee ,an amount totaling $7,750.
Even though Lakota continues to host weddings and events, at this time, we have not received any money back from Kimberly, and have been told by her attorney she had no assets! They cannot be trusted. Proceed with caution.
It is such a shame that our dream wedding venue ended up being a nightmare.
