User2088307 Sent on 04/06/2015Thank goodness for Weddings By Kayln! I was on the fence about a planner and I can't tell you how many times I was so relieved that I decided to get one... And that it was Kayln. Due to her experience and connections, she made the entire process so much easier. She's flexible to work with and let me design my own package based on what I needed help with and what fit in our budget. She was easy to communicate with via email or text during the planning process. She was a life saver on the day of. She took care of everything which made me feel so relaxed and able to really stop and savor the day. I really can't imagine what I would have done without her. Without her help, I would have been so stressed and too busy to enjoy myself. She took care of organizing all of the vendors, the schedule for the day, the order of the ceremony, setting everything up, taking everything down, taking items that we brought in to her home until we could get them, answering a million questions from many different people... and she did all of this with a smile on her face! She was so wonderful and I'll always be grateful. I highly recommend her.Weddings by Kayln's reply:

User1792268 Sent on 09/02/2014I first heard about Weddings by Kayln through an email from theknot.com. I remember seeing "having a wedding coordinator can actually SAVE you money!"
I was already stressing out about the wedding and thought it would be a good idea to at least meet with Kayln to see what having a coordinator actually entailed. She won me over immediately with her organization and positivity. Her motto is "Relax, enjoy your wedding. We've got this!" That was evident from the get go!
Kayln saved us money through her connections and wisdom. If money is a factor for you (it was a HUGE factor for us as we paid every penny ourselves!), hiring her will save you money and will give you a peace of mind.
Kayln never pushed me to do anything, only supported my ideas and helped me see them come to fruition. She was always an email or phone call away and I never felt like I was inconveniencing her. She was always ready and willing to listen and support me!
I cannot imagine planning our wedding myself. I'm not sure if any other brides experience this, but about a month before our wedding, I went totally brain dead. I felt like I couldn't think anymore, couldn't make anymore decisions, and Kayln and her staff stepped right in to help me get it together! I felt secure, confident, and calm during the wedding day. I honestly don't know how people plan it on their own. Your wedding day goes by so fast! It really does! You need to spend all the time you can with your loved ones and new spouse, not worrying about lighting, food, flow of the ceremony, etc...
If you're reading this and are engaged, first of all, congrats, and secondly, don't think twice about contacting her. Do it now. Seriously, right now. It will be the best decision you made other than saying "yes".

User2560186 Sent on 03/23/2016Our wedding couldn’t have turned out better, & Weddings by Kayln was a big part of that success! We had no surprises from vendors afterwards about things going awry & every one of our guests told us how much they enjoyed our wedding. I was impressed w/ how seamlessly everything ran the day of the wedding, considering we were in Alabama, mostly communicated through email w/ Kayln, & only met a handful of times. I let her take care of any decisions that came up the day of w/o conferring w/ me, so if there were surprises, I never heard about them. She did my flowers, which were amazingly beautiful! Flowers were important to me, so when Kayln said she could do them at a discounted price, I was sold. She also incorporated my mother’s wedding rings into the bouquet wonderfully (a last minute request). She assisted w/ our rehearsal dinner on pretty short notice & I couldn’t be happier w/ how everything looked. I felt that sometimes she could read my mind regarding décor. Many guests commented about how personalized our wedding was, & some of those items/ideas came from Kayln. She really did a good job of pulling everything together. In the beginning, I was a little concerned when emails weren’t responded to as quickly as I would’ve preferred, however as wedding day approached she responded quickly to multiple emails from me, my husband, & vendors. Looking back, some of the issue may have been that it was peak wedding season when we began planning/booking vendors. She was vital during our rental process, which was a little frustrating until she stepped in. She had good suggestions to save us money & assisted us in ensuring we got items important to us while keeping the price reasonable. A big help was her valuable vendor relationships w/ high quality vendors. We were happy w/ every one of our vendors, something concerning to me at the beginning of the process, being from out of town. Overall, Weddings by Kayln was invaluable to us leading up to the wedding & the day of! -
User2668458 Sent on 06/30/2016I hate to say this, but I feel that I paid a bunch of money for nothing. I was able to meet with Kayln once throughout the whole planning process and after that it was like pulling teeth to get her to respond. There wasn't any help planning, coordinating, anything. We basically paid a bunch of money for her to have one of her assistants to show up to the ceremony to pick up programs and someone at the reception to hold a clipboard. The wedding manager of our reception vendor did a MUCH better job of facilitating everything than any of Kayln's team. I would definitely NOT recommend using this vendor to anyone.

I hired her for partial planning 9 months before my wedding and we only met in person twice; once to meet her and another to “go over details.” Getting her to respond back to an email was a nightmare. If you like waiting 2 weeks for a response, go ahead. - I decided to go through her to rent my chargers, flatware, and some lanterns since the rental company I was already using did not have the specific styles I wanted. She had access to the kinds I wanted and figured it would be good to go through her. DO NOT DO THIS. YOU WILL NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. For one, I never saw the lanterns I paid for. Two, the only discussion with flatware I had with her was that I wanted gold. We emailed back and forth about it. She sent me photos she had. I was so excited that she had brushed gold flatware. Wedding day rolls around, we go up to our head table after our reception intro and I look down at my place setting and there is a SILVER fork and knife...okay? SIDE NOTE(My now husband goes and gets us food, NOT Kayln. Because you know what? I come to find she is not even there at this point. She left her assistant Lindsey in charge. I had no idea who this girl was. I had to ask who she was and introduce myself) But anyway! I paid for gold and did not get it. It’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things and it definitely didn’t ruin my wedding, but it’s the principle. I emailed her before writing this review to get an explanation and she just sent me the invoice and it said “silver.” That’s funny because I have 3 invoices from her that only say “forks for dinner" never specifying what kind. However, the only conversation we had about flatware was about gold. I just don’t get how something so simple can be messed up and then she decided to put the blame back on me for HER mistake. I could go on and on about how disappointed I am with the "service” we got, but moral of the story is that my only regret from my wedding was hiring WBK.

User2342759 Sent on 09/30/2015I hired Weddings by Kayln to provide day-of coordination services for my wedding, and unfortunately, this is the only decision regarding my wedding that I regret. Thank goodness my venue coordinators stepped up to compensate for the services that Kayln said she would provide and then didn't.
1. Once my contract was signed and $500 deposit was made, every single interaction we had was initiated by myself. I was the one emailing her to ask if she needed my other vendors' contact information, if we should meet to talk about the wedding etc.
2. She initially told me that she would be responsible for all of the decorating, then told me THREE DAYS before the wedding that she could not hang paper lanterns or do anything that required being on a ladder because her liability insurance didn't cover her if she fell.
3. She charged my card two unauthorized charges for $250 and $78 dollars the day before and the day after the wedding. She has never provided a receipt or even an explanation of the charges, and will not return my texts or emails about them.
4. Leading up to the wedding, I never met her associates, which would have been fine, except, she did not tell me that on the day of the wedding, she would already be gone by the time I arrived at the venue and that they would be the people I was looking for to handle the event, getting me and my bridal party down the aisle etc. I learned that she wasn't there when I asked my mom to go find her as we arrived to the venue to get lined up and all of the sudden there was someone I've never met before there.
5. The venue coordinators ended up: decorating, helping me and my bridal party down the aisle, cutting and serving cake, and helping my family clean up our items to take home, even though I paid her to do all of these services.
6. She kept the backdrop that she said I could get from her the week after the wedding. My mom and I made it for around $200.Weddings by Kayln's reply:

User2390963 Sent on 10/26/2015We met with Kayln in May of 2015 to plan our wedding for October. We met a few times and we felt good about the fit and plan for our rehearsal, dinner and reception. 3 weeks before our wedding, we received an email explaining they could no longer handle our event due to health issues. The communication was intended to be for all October - January brides. There was a offer to refund our full payment before end of week but no offer for a different planner, no phone call for explanation, simply a sorry.
It's now been almost 6 weeks. We had to hire a new planner, pay double and we've yet to receive our refund. Several emails without response and even seeing other October events carried out through her social media accounts.
My only recourse is to post a review on wedding websites and dispute all charges. Not how I want to spend my time however I want to warn any brides, grooms and their families to be careful. I sincerely hope no one ends up in the same situation as we did.

User2527016 Sent on 02/04/2016Kayln did my flowers for my wedding. LONG story short... stay away from her. My roommate worked for her and I still got screwed over. She was awful at communicating, and that was the smallest issue.
I paid hundreds of dollars for a beautiful alter arrangement, and she didn't even set it up!!! How does that even happen? The alter is the most important decoration in my opinion. By the time i noticed she was long gone.
Also- I was charged for my tossing bouquet which "mysteriously disappeared" yeah right.
The ladies wristlets were falling apart before the ceremony even started.. such a poor job. Do you want to know what she said when I confronted her about it? "You should have called me and I would have come fix them" OH REALLY? Because at that point my wedding starting in like half and hour! That was no supposed to be my concern....
Surprisingly, I was willing to let everything go, because things like this don't matter in the big picture.
However, the way she handled the situation afterwards is what really got to me. The only thing she was willing to refund me for was the alter.. I had to haggle with her for so long to get half of what I should have received back... and this took weeks and weeks to accomplish.
Moral of the story, do yourself a favor and DO NOT WORK WITH THIS LADY.Weddings by Kayln's reply:
