    Having Susan as our wedding planner was the best decision we made!

    Before my husband and I met Susan, we had interviewed several other wedding planners. We first connected over the phone on May 2019 and scheduled to meet in person. After our first meeting, we both had a great feeling about Susan and hired her as our wedding planner. Since then, she has been there to help and guide us along the way.

    Fast forward to 2020: the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Unfortunately, about two months before our wedding date, we decided to postpone it and elope this year instead. She took care of every single detail. She communicated with all our vendors, moved everything from our original wedding date to the new one in 2021, and promptly started working on the details for our elopement day.

    On November 15th, 2020, my husband and I eloped! Everything was absolutely perfect and more stunning than we could ever imagine. The entire process leading up to that day was fun, enjoyable, stress-free, and memorable. Having Susan as our wedding planner was the best decision we made. She is detail-oriented, organized, talented, and so incredibly sweet. One of the things I appreciate most is her communication skills. Anytime I had a question or concern, I could always count on her to get back to me. We are beyond grateful that she planned and officiated our special day :’) We can't wait to see what's in store for next years big celebration :D

    Best Wedding Planner Ever

    Other than marrying each other, choosing Susan to be our wedding planner was absolutely the best decision we could have made for our wedding. We got engaged in September 2018, already had our venue booked, who required us to have at least a day-of coordinator (but we quickly realized we needed a full planner). We started off by going through our venue’s preferred planner list, narrowed it down to only the planners who had all 5 star reviews, and interviewed all 11 of them. Susan was the only one who actually took notes during our initial phone conversation, followed up with us as she said she would, and upon the second round interview, she was the only one who actually remembered what we talked about the first time.

    I am a CPA and half the year, I am extremely busy and not very accessible to be planning a wedding. She was able to break up the tasks into very manageable chunks each month so that we were never overwhelmed, even during my busiest work months. She made planning fun and completely stress-free. During the planning process, she got to know our specific vision for our wedding so that she only brought us vendors who fit that vision and were in our price range based on the budget we created together, which she diligently stuck to the entire time.

    We were originally supposed to get married in June 2020 (haha…) and once COVID hit, we tried to stay optimistic. Susan was there for us through countless phone calls whenever we needed to be talked off the ledge as we went on our emotional rollercoaster of whether or not to postpone. In May, we finally decided to postpone to October. We thought that would be the craziest part of our wedding planning process but in August, due to COVID restrictions from our venue, we ended up having to change our reception venue. We didn’t want to have to move our ceremony site, so Susan worked with us to quickly find another venue very close by that would suit all of our needs and be in our price range. Our original venue provided almost everything, whereas this new venue required us to rent everything (even down to the kitchen). Susan took care of ALL of this for us and planned basically an entire wedding for 130 people from scratch in a matter of weeks (everyone was COVID tested before and no one got COVID at our wedding - don’t worry).

    Our wedding day was beyond perfect. Everyone in my family kept telling me beforehand that something is going to go wrong the day of (because supposedly that happens at every wedding) and that I should just roll with it. Those weddings just don’t have Susan. The actual day went incredibly smoothly and was so stress-free that we just got to enjoy it and soak up every minute of it because we knew Susan and her team had everything taken care of. She even surprised us with custom cookies of our pups on the day for our dessert table, which was such an incredible and personal touch that she knew we would love.

    Now, we just have to gush about how amazing of a person Susan is. After planning a wedding with Susan for almost 2 years, we genuinely consider her to be a friend. 5 stars does not nearly do her justice. Not only does she execute, but she makes the wedding planning process so much fun. We love her so much that we wish she could have just been a guest at our wedding. She will definitely be a guest at all future Bloom family events. We could talk about how amazing Susan is forever. We can guarantee picking her will be one of the best decisions you will make during your wedding planning process.

    The Best Planner!

    Words cannot express how much we loved working with Susan. Wedding planning is hard and stressful and we are so thankful that Susan was able to guide us throughout the process. She was always calm, cool, and collected, professional, and so kind! Susan’s overall aesthetic was something I was attracted to, so I trusted and looked to her for advice. I wanted to be in control of the wedding, and she allowed me to do so, while making sure I was staying on top of my to-do’s and deadlines. She puts her whole heart into it and was always available to chat through an idea. Susan was incredibly organized and always made sure to cross every t and dot every i. The wedding day went seamlessly with her in charge and we received multiple compliments from family & friends on how professional and put-together she was! Susan simply is the best of the best and we will miss working with her!

    Simply the BEST!

    From the day we connected all the way to our wedding day we knew we were in good hands with our destination wedding. Susan you are the epitome of the perfect wedding planner. Warm and friendly, great eye for detail, impeccable taste, can do attitude, and a boss lady all wrapped into one. She made the whole process a breeze. Thank you so much Susan for being there for us every step of the way and making our wedding dreams come true.

    The Best Wedding Planner Ever

    My husband and I decided early on in our wedding planning process to hire a wedding planner as we knew we needed help to navigate through the details and logistics of it all. We wanted a wedding planner we could connect with and knew our wedding venue, Calamigos Ranch. We interviewed a handful of wedding planners but one stood out above the rest. Susan Dunne was poised, calm, and attentive to details since our first call. We were so excited she was available for our wedding and we were able to plan it together.

    Susan set up an in person meeting soon after our initial call. She took a lot of notes, understood our vision, our concerns and our budget. With our initial meeting out of the way, she developed a wedding planning schedule, helped provide vendor recommendations (florist, cake & desserts, transportation, make-up & hair, decor) and quotes, developed our vision board, reviewed vendor contracts for those vendors we hired on our own (DJ, guitarist, officiant, and live painter). She truly made the planning process fun, manageable, and stress free.

    We did get some curve balls outside of our control along the way ranging from the Malibu Fires which almost consumed our venue to our officiant falling ill the week of our wedding. Susan navigated through these issues calmly and assured us everything would turn out fine, which it did.

    Fast forward to our wedding day. It was AMAZING! Every detail and all the planning showed. We were blown away by how it all turned out. If there was issue, we wouldn't have known. Susan and her team were great. She truly surrounds herself with the sweetest and most professional people. Our wedding was simply perfect.

    Words cannot begin to describe how amazing Susan is. During our initial phone call I immediately felt at ease and as if I was talking to a girlfriend. We had a very unrealistic budget and she provided us with with a wide array of options at our price point so that my fiancee and I could compare and determine which route we wanted to go. Our budget increased (for the amount of guests we chose to have) but she definitely helped us save money by the vendors she recommended and also giving us cost effective ideas that we had not thought about such as repurposing garland we used during our ceremony to our reception. She is incredibly organized and not a procrastinator- we had pretty much everything finalized months before the wedding. The day of the wedding, not an ounce of stress- she handled absolutely everything including packing up my parents care with all of the gifts and favors. Her and her team transformed the venue into the most beautiful place and even the venue manager said that had been the most beautiful wedding they'd had there before. She is definitely worth her weight in gold- I know my wedding would not have been as amazing and stress free had it not been for her.

    Susan was a pleasure to work with. A caterer must be kept involved in the process of the day and Susan stayed ahead of direction and detail very well.

    Susan did an awesome job during a wedding we worked on together. The day flowed smoothly without a hitch (well the couple did het hitched) and she's a great communicator. As photographers/cinematographers this is important as we give the couple our best and we were very impressed with how Susan worked behind the scenes, yet how personable she was. We highly recommend Weddings by Sunan Dunne.

    Susan and her team did a phenomenal job at the wedding I worked with her. I have been DJ'ing weddings for about ten years and when your wedding has a wedding coordinator as well prepared, flexible and professional as she was, it makes everyones job incredibly easier. When it comes to working a wedding, you only have one shot to make it as memorable for the bride as possible. Your preparation is a huge factor in how the wedding goes. It's hard to find a Wedding coordinating "Team" who's preparation was as great as Susan and her team was. They were in constant communication with each other, the vendors and the Bride and Groom during the wedding making it run smoothly. There would be no hesitation recommending them to friends, family and future brides for top quality service.
