Beautiful venue that was the perfect backdrop for our special day. Dolores was so willing and helpful with the event planning. The day of the wedding, Kathy went above and beyond to help out. I would definitely use them for events in the future. -

Ahnaysa Sent on 10/01/2014The garden club is a beautiful location with tons of character and some of the most beautiful spots in Sarasota! Definitely a hidden gem! You have endless possibilities to where you want your ceremony and how you want to set up your reception! They have enough tables and chairs that you probably wont even need to rent any! I am soooo happy that we decided to book this venue! -

We found this hidden gem by happenstance. My wedding had been canceled for a second time due to COVID-19 and my venue had closed down. I was going by the hotel I booked for my wedding and drove by the most beautiful garden across the street. It was enchanting and I had to go see more. When I walked through it was meticulously well kept and plentiful in color and butterflies! I was met by a lovely woman named Donna. She was very knowledgeable and I could tell she loved this place. They did not have my original wedding date available but they had alternate dates to chose from. The venue came with all-day access and liberal use of any vendor I chose with the exception of a caterer. I used Sarasota Catering Company on their list of preferred vendors. Donna was professional and communicative. We walked through the venue, its amenities, and requirements. The only particular that was rather difficult was that I had to drop off the signed contract in person or snail mail instead of scanning or emailing. I live about two hours away, but Donna let me drop it off at my earliest convenience. Tables, chairs, and black linens were included. They have separate chairs for inside and outside which were so helpful. They also have white chair covers for the outside at a reasonable rate (the outside chairs are brown). The rental price was very reasonable and all-inclusive. The only catch was that we had to provide our own set-up and takedown of the tables and chairs. I didn't have a wedding planner, so we were allowed in the day before to decorate the venue which from 8 am-1 pm. This was a lifesaver, so I didn't have to worry on my wedding day. Donna was there to attend to our requests and ensure everything ran smoothly from a venue standpoint. The venue was always clean, including the bathrooms. We were given pretty free reign of decorating, just so nails or glue on walls. We hung up things with command strips and painter's tape. The venue is beautiful and the gardens are immaculately maintained. All the staff and volunteers were so nice and kept thanking us for choosing them for our wedding venue. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue! They welcomed us with open arms after being left destitute by our prior venue. They were flexible and professional. This place is truly underrated and a great value. All the proceeds go toward maintaining the garden and community projects, so it's also for a great cause. Thank you to everyone there and I couldn't recommend them more highly! -

User1287958 Sent on 08/15/2013A hidden little gem that I never noticed before I was planning my wedding. All of the ladies at the Garden Club were very kind and helpful. Especially Jean in the front office. If not for a misinformed guy at the end of the night who made us clear out a bunch of stuff that was suppose to be stored there till Monday, I would have given all 5s. Overall, everything was really beautiful and we all had a great time. -

User2217985 Sent on 07/09/2015Venue is gorgeous but beware...you will be talked down to and bullied and told last minute what you can and can not do (there is very little you CAN do). Let me just say this is my first public negative review I have ever left. Because your wedding day is such a big deal I felt that I needed to share my experience. They all seem so sweet but beware, Aurora will tell YOU, the paying customer, how YOU will be running your wedding and is so incredibly rude. I was absolutely appalled at how she spoke to me before the wedding and to my family and bridal party during the wedding. I know the price is good but it adds up since they are just a venue and you have to do all of the rentals yourself. Unless you are doing a small cut and dry wedding, take your business elsewhere! They do NOT appreciate you as a customer and are very catty. Their lack of professionalism the closer it gets to your wedding is unreal. I had a beautiful wedding and loved every minute of it but what I had to go through behind the scenes and before hand with them had me thinking the whole time how I wish I would have booked elsewhere. No bride or groom should have to deal with that!
