  Wonderful Wedding Experience February 2024 - Rancho Mirage

  I found out about Westwood Catering because Randy and his team had previously worked at the venue we chose. I did not have a wedding planner and the venue needed a day of coordinator, and Randy’s catering provides event coordinator with his services so I was able to easily add on a day of coordinator from his team, and everyone did an above and beyond job! The whole Westwood Catering team was professional, well organized, and made the whole day run smoothly. They exceeded my expectations for setting up my table decorations, for being flexible and experienced with managing timing, the service was great, the food was great, and I heard no complaints and many compliments from the guests. Randy’s organization, professionalism, and relaxed attitude, topped off with having tasty food made me so happy we chose Westwood Catering for our wedding! Randy is so personable and knowledgeable with lots of wedding experience, and very easy to work with. My goal was to have a wedding with as minimal stress as possible. I kept things simple and wanted to focus on a good experience for my guests. It all went by so fast, and I am still amazed how smoothly everything went thanks to Randy and his team.

  I was originally discouraged looking for caterers in the valley. I thought I was going to have to compromise the quality or win the lotto to get quality, classy food for my wedding. Then I found Catering by Westwood. It’s been about 3 weeks since we got married and I am STILL hearing from my guests about how amazing the food was that Randy’s team prepared for us. Somehow they managed to perfectly cook each of my 150 guest’s Filet Mignon in the car port at our wedding house. My dad and husband are still trying to figure that out!
  
  From my initial conversation, to our tasting, to the day before my wedding when Randy (who was not my event planner) offered to do a walk through to ease my mind- the customer service has been unparalleled. I cannot sing enough praises for him and his team. They are professional, they are seasoned, and you can tell they care about the work they are doing and the food they are putting out for you. As they say, the three things people remember about a wedding are the food, the booze and the music. Do yourself a favor and put Westwood in charge of the first (and second!) You and your guests will be so happy you did!

  Randy and his team were absolutely phenomenal! Our buffet was FANTASTIC! The service was just as great. Everyone at our wedding loved the food and made sure to let us know how great it was. The appetizers were served promptly after the ceremony and I heard from our guests that it was quite a bit of food, which we were very happy about. Randy was communicative and helpful, and his menu was so delicious and affordable. I would recommend Westwood to anyone looking for fantastic catering from top to bottom. Thank you Westwood!

  Disappointment

  We raved about Randy all the way up until the wedding. Communication was great, the food at our tasting was delicious. Our wedding day came and we were served something completely different. I was so disappointed the second they put the plates down in front of us (also embarrassed considering we had menus printed with what we were being served). We paid for parmesan crusted chicken with red pepper cream sauce. What they served us looked like boiled chicken with some kind of light almost clear sauce but barely any sauce at that. After the wedding I brought this up to Randy and he told me he's been making it since 1989 and he didn't do anything different. I'm sorry but there is a huge difference between parmesan crusted and plain chicken. He would not acknowledge that they didn't serve the right chicken and actually just stopped replying to my emails altogether. Our wedding day was magical and amazing - the ONLY negative of the whole day was this catering company.
