I cannot say enough good things about Whispering Oaks, and owners Doug & Wendy Caviness. My daughter was married there on May 20th, and her wedding was absolutely perfect! The grounds are immaculate, it is quiet, and private, plenty of room (our attendance was approximately 275 - we added a 20x40 tent that extended from the side of the barn, which still allowed guests to view everything inside without feeling excluded. *Inside we sat approximately 235 comfortably.) The catering room was large and accommodating; the side room - which we used for the gift table and buffet line - allowed for the extra room needed so guests weren't crowded while getting their food. The air conditioning was great to have, which we weren't expecting to be available in a barn, but made it nice and cool, especially during setup & cleanup - then we were able to open up the large doors for a nice breeze as the night went on. Rental included 20+ tables & 200 chairs, with additional chairs available to rent. The bride's room was perfect with vintage style furnishings which were gorgeous in photos, and also a nice place to relax while waiting for the ceremony to begin. Ample parking for a large crowd - lots of trees for nice shade. The ceremony was set up outside on the lawn, and there was plenty of space for 280 chairs without feeling crowded. EVERYTHING about this venue was perfect! Doug was so accommodating and easy to work with - he was always very helpful and prompt in responding to questions or messages; he was great in working with our rental vendors on delivery/pickup. Again, I cannot say enough good things. Hands down, this was not only the most affordable venue we visited, but it is an absolutely beautiful piece of property, with the best customer service and feeling of welcome that we received from any of the other venue representatives. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENUE TO ANYONE FOR ANY SIZE WEDDING OR PARTY!
