I can’t say enough positive things about White’s Wildwood Retreat and Betty. From our very first tour to Fridays arrival for the weekend, to locking up on Sunday she was just a blessing and this place was all we could have dreamed for and more. The cabins were perfect for our bridal party to stay and get ready in, as well as an excellent space to host all our guests at for the rehearsal dinner. The natural beauty and stunning landscaping is breathtaking. Betty was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process- always being just a phone call or text away. We comfortably sat almost 300 guests with ample additional room. Furthermore- our guests endlessly complimented the venue. We had a lot of younger children in attendance and it was the perfect space for them to stretch their legs. Another perk was the close proximity to nearby hotels while also be tucked in the countryside! I’ve worked in the wedding industry myself for almost 10 years and have seen many venues but this tops the list by far. l really can’t say enough good things about this space and truly believe if you’re looking for the perfect place for your perfect day- your search is over. White's Wildwood Retreat is beautiful and wonderful!! Betty and Dean White are so great to work with, and they make sure your time there is perfect! The whole venue is fantastic, with the lodges for you and your guest to stay, the outdoor ceremony site is beautiful with the bridge, and the pavilion is a perfect for dinner and dancing! Our wedding was absolutely perfect at White's Wildwood Retreat!White's Wildwood Retreat, LLC's reply:

User2644395 Sent on 06/12/2016We received many compliments on how beautiful the location was. My husband and I were VERY disappointed with the way the owners handled various situations, however. They promised us finished construction of bathrooms close to the reception site and confirmed their timely completion when we checked-in with them several times. We were there a week before the wedding and it was very clear that they weren't going to be finished on time. When my husband asked the owner about this, she brushed it off as if she didn't really care, and told him that there were porta johns close by. We had absolutely no intention of choosing a venue in which porta johns would be present, or even necessary. We felt it took away from the elegance we were trying to achieve at this already rustic venue. The owners did not extend any kind of discount, or offer anything to make up for this. We even booked an extra nights stay there, and never even received an apology for the fact that they wouldn't be finished. A bathroom under construction was on the background of our reception site, and our guests had to walk about 50-100 yards to a cabin (not well-lit at night) to use the bathroom. Because of the way they handled this situation, I would NOT recommend this venue to someone else. There are more professional vendors elsewhere in the area with a similar venue style.
