We interviewed so many caterers, at least 10. Wickey was the last one we did a tasting with and we are SO happy we decided to use them. We were told multiple times the evening of our wedding that it was the BEST wedding food our guests have ever had. Everything from cocktail hour, to our stations, was absolutely incredible. They worked with us to do a custom stationed dinner and it was so, so fresh and delicious. I can't recommend them enough to everyone we know. Choose Wickey!! -

If you are looking for a delicious meal that will impress all your guests at a reasonable price, then look no further than Catering by Wickey! Kim and her team were great to work with and accommodated our dietary restrictions effortlessly (gluten and dairy free). The appetizers were plentiful and the served dinner of potato crusted leek chicken and brisket was delicious and a huge hit with our guests. The tableware was included in their catering packages and they rented all of linens on our behalf. Additionally, we found out that Catering by Wickey did my (the bride’s) parents’ wedding, which just goes to show that their professionalism is founded on years of experience. From planning to execution, every detail was reviewed and confirmed. Attention to my vision was refreshing, not overwhelming. The entire experience gave me confidence that our party was going to be great and allowed me to relax once the party started. I would highly recommend Wickey's for any event you are planning. -

First off, I had never heard of Wickey or had their food before so I decided to take a total leap of faith from WeddingWire reviews & so so glad we did! My husband & I both REALLY cared about having great food for our day! We had the BEST dinners, hor d'oeuvres, and cocktails! We actually got compliments ALL night and are still receiving compliments from friends & family! We had chosen 3 choices for dinners; New York strip medallions, Crab stuffed shrimp & Chicken Scallopini- ALL were AMAZING!!! Caesar Salad, Penne Pasta with homemade Vodka Sauce & all the hor d'oeuvres (ESPECIALLY the Korean Beef Skewers, wing bar & charcuterie board) were delicious!
Wickey & Kim Greene were so helpful when planning and creating a menu that fit our style & theme of our wedding! We made MULTIPLE changes & they were so helpful with changes and additions along the way. They really pay attention to ALL the details, and really care about presentation! We were able to have mimosas served to the bridal suite & beers poured for the groomsmen getting ready! Cocktail hour foods & drinks were raved about (get their champagne Kir Royale!). The plating of each salad, pasta & dinners were absolutely beautiful. ALL of the employees presented themselves VERY professionally and were very attentive to refilling waters & cleaning off plates from the tables!
The bartenders, the servers, Kim the event coordinator & Wickey himself were all professional & I would more than recommend this catering company for any occasion!!! Thank you for helping to make our wedding day perfect!Catering by Wickey's reply:

All the people I dealt with at Wickey's were awesome. Tasting was good, day of event food was amazing. They did great set up and tear down and I didn't even see it. It was all seamless. They did a great job of packing up everything and sending it along. My daughter is using this caterer again in September, and I can't wait - and have no worries that they will do an amazing job again!Catering by Wickey's reply:

Wickey was amazing to work with from the start. They were always attentive to our requests and needs, personable, professional, and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Their food was delicious- we chose chicken with their basal cream sauce- and all of our guests loved it. I would recommend them to anyone planning a wedding! -

We wanted our wedding guests to have exceptional food and drinks. Our guests made numerous comments expressing how much they enjoyed the food. The staff was professional and attentive to detail. The owner and staff are very accommodating to the wants and needs of the customer. -

Great food at a great price, but communication at times a challenge
I hired Catering by Wickey for my September 2022 wedding. I wanted to work with a company that made delicious, inventive food at a reasonable price. Wickey definitely covered all those bases! We had fun creating a personalized menu with Cliff, who also helped us make decisions about flatware, napkins, drink offerings, etc. that fit our vision and our budget. I felt we paid a very reasonable price, considering many competitors in the area were far more expensive for similar quality, or around the same price but much more informal than what we wanted. The food at the tasting, cocktail hour, and reception were all delicious. The staff was very timely and professional during our event. To provide some constructive criticism (and explain why I only gave 4/5 stars), I do think this company could improve their communication skills. After we booked them, a noticeable number of emails went unanswered; or, when they were answered, at times it took weeks, if not months, for them to do so. It was also difficult at times to reach Cliff by phone, particularly in the weeks leading up to the event. If other employees picked up, they seemed unable to meaningfully help us. I’m not sure if they’re just short staffed or if it’s an organizational issue, but this somewhat soured my experience with them. I know my messages were read as requests I only made in writing were fulfilled the day of the wedding, but I would have appreciated a simple acknowledgement or quick phone call. When we could get a hold of Cliff, he was extremely pleasant and apologetic, and he was excellent at his job otherwise. But this was an issue that potential clients should be aware of. I was not very impressed with wickeys catering and our experience AT ALL. When my husband and I chose wickeys to cater our wedding we were working with Kim. Kim was extremely helpful, always checking in and was very experienced and able to help us plan for things I did not even realize should be done or should be done a certain way. She was very responsive to emails/calls and always answered my questions. Fast forward a few months when Kim had left Heather had then taken over. Heather reached out and asked to talk to go over our selections so she could be on the same page. I tried to be patient as I am sure she was dealing with a lot trying to take on all of the events. She was not very responsive at all and when I would finally get a response It was short and did not always answer my questions. When planning previously with Kim we asked that anything that we could get be taken off of the list and we would pick it up. This included ice in which I did not think was a big deal until 1-2 weeks before the wedding when I had to confirm again with Heather how many bags and I was told 50-20 pound bags. I initially thought this was a typo but it was not so I asked her to add it back and we would pay for it and I was told she was unable. Fast forward to the day of the wedding and Kim had initially told me she would have drink orders and appetizers brought to us because most times the bridal party does not get any. My husband and I had to have our day of coordinator hunt someone down for these and when we got them they were cold. Then my husband and I were having our dinner alone so we could eat without being talked to the whole time and our food was cold. I thought it might have been a fluke thing but I had many of guests tell me theirs was cold as well. I was also very disappointed to have only seen Heather at the end of the night when someone had to find her so we could give her the tips for the staff. I am just very disappointed as when we chose wickeys we felt like we did not have to worry about anything, the food was delicious at the tasting and then the day of did not play out how we anticipated.
