This is the easiest and most sincere review I will ever write. I stumbled upon this bed and breakfast with other venues in mind, and the moment I got there - I envisioned our wedding there! Beyond that, it's reasonably priced, provides an intimate setting, and the customer service and support is unparalleled. I will never ever forget this experience and will cherish it forever.

We were married at a private home in Winter Park and Wild Horse Catering catered our reception. While I can't comment on the service at the Inn, I would highly, highly recommend Wild Horse Catering. From our first interaction, Wild Horse was professional, flexible, and very kind to a relatively stressed-out bride. On my tasting day, I was a bit rushed as I was trying to make it to Denver before a blizzard. The team put together a great tasting. Because we were hosting our reception at a private house, we had to pick out all of the rentals--tables, linens, china, and decorations. After describing my vision to Chris, she helped me pick plates, glasses, and silverware to go with our atmosphere. My fiance and I are not cake people, and they were fully on board with helping us create an ice cream bar for dessert. Up until the last day, they worked with us to adjust the menu and adjust numbers after a last minute rush of RSVPs that put our guest numbers much higher than we had projected.

Rachel was our event manager and she was awesome to work with. She confirmed all of the details with our rental company and ensured the delivery was accurate. She was so on top of tiny details that I missed (. She walked through the site with us and we created a detailed timeline for the day. Her staff did a tremendous job helping get everything in place--the tables looked great and the decor was wonderful. They did a great job of rolling with hiccups and using professional judgment to improvise.

Our guests raved about the food. We tried to give our guests a "taste of CO," so the menu included fresh vegetables, braised short ribs, and veggie lasagna. Everything on the menu was a win. We had a lot of vegetarians and the menu was perfectly balanced to ensure everyone was full and satisfied. We opted for a buffet dinner and our guests moved quickly through the buffet. At the end of the evening, the house was in great condition. Many thanks to Wild Horse!

Wild Horse did an amazing job and guests are still telling us that the food was amazing. They also did our rehearsal dinner and were very flexible on the delivery, menu and the price. The staff was so great and I highly recommend them if you are getting married up in the winter park area.

My husband and I really appreciated the fact that we were able to have our rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony, and reception all at the same place. You do have to use the Wild Horse Catering, rather than selecting your own, but they make incredibly delicious food. We were able to bring our own alcohol, which saved us a pretty penny. The Inn was beautiful and an excellent gathering place for family and friends in between events.

Blessed with having lived in Colorado at the time of our wedding, we had a lengthy list of romantic options for our honeymoon. After staying at the Wild Horse Inn, though, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend venturing there even if you live thousands of miles away. It is a bed and breakfast style Lodge, with two very friendly owners who provide a home-cooked breakfast every morning. The Lodge itself is just that- a cozy, gorgeous lodge, filled with fireplaces, wood-frame beds, and a rustic yet comfortable style. And of course you are way up in the Rockies, so the view is beautiful no matter which room you are in. Speaking of rooms, each one has its own unique style, furniture, etc, and you get a great view a head of time by checking out their website to determine which fits you best. They also have cabins located nearby. (And I would recommend, if you can afford the higher price, that you get one, because you hear through the walls in the lodge, and you may be making a little bit of noise during your stay;) Overall, the Wild Horse was a wonderful experience, and both my husband and I would love to go back the next time we are in Colorado. (Plus, they sent us a congratulations and a coupon on 1 year anniversary!)

Such a quaint, rustic, and beautiful venue! Their outdoor ceremony site is just lovely. Plus they have a small and helpful staff. I would definitely get married here again.

My overall advice: Go elsewhere. Although we were fortunate to have beautiful weather and a great view for our ceremony, this venue, and specifically the management, were very unpleasant to work with. They cared mostly about their contracts, making sure they were paid on time and making sure we did things exactly their way. Almost never did I feel like the actual customer in that they cared very much about my happiness with the end result. In the end, they made numerous mistakes despite excellent planning by my wedding planner. One of the biggest was having all of my food crammed into a corner of their tent, creating an embarrassing line, instead of having pretty food stations throughout the tent. Not once in the process was a buffet mentioned. At every interval we talked about dispersed food stations. Additionally, their Inn staff was VERY rude to guests - even asking them to go to bed early because the the staff (1 main person - Donna) had to get up early. ALL of my guests felt very unwelcome and shocked at their treatment. After sending a complaint to the Catering company about the mistakes made, they originally admitted they had made errors, but then refused to make good on any of it, other than reimbursing me for the bathrooms which never actually showed up for the wedding. There was 1 shared toilet for 120 guests because of this. I felt they should have given us some additional refund because of the lack of service, rude staff and not fulfilling what was agreed upon for food stations at the reception.

This venue is beautiful and great for a location which is why it is such a shame that the owners of the venue are terrible. The venue was the most stressful part of my wedding day, which is crazy right, it's just the venue. But I was bothered with details while I was getting ready on my wedding day. Details that had been discussed time and time again. I even sent an outline of the day so they knew what flowers went where, when dinner started, etc. The owner/coordinator was unresponsive and 3 days before my wedding didn't even know that I was having a sit down dinner opposed to a buffet!!! They did not pay attention to any details, in fact I wonder what they did at all our meetings when they were typing on their computer, clearly they were not writing any notes down. The owner is also very rude and yelled at me on my wedding day when I was wondering why we were starting dinner 45 minutes late!!!!!! SOME of the things that went wrong are listed below, I didn't want to list all as the list is way too long but I want to convey to other brides that I DO NOT recommend you use this venue.

    - Dinner started 45 mins late because the staff was late to setup the tent
    - Centerpieces were incorrect even after I wrote out what went in what vase and where
    - Guests overheard the owner and her husband bad-mouthing my guests and us since we stayed up late and hung out on the porch - which we were allowed to do.
    - Charges were not clearly outlined from the beginning and we ended up having to pay more than we expected
    - Day before wedding announced to wedding party the wrong time of when the ceremony was starting the next day - again this was discussed before.
    - Rude, rude, rude - cannot express how rude the owner of the Inn is. It blows my mind that if you don't like people, aren't friendly you would run a wedding venue.

If I could give a 0 I would. I would not recommend to anyone.
