We had an amazing experience at Willowdale and recommend them very highly. They know exactly how to surprise and delight guests - small touches like chocolate chip cookies and a handwritten note after our visit, cucumber mint water served to guests as they walk in, hors d'oeuvres brought out to us while we were taking photos... The entire team is fabulous, and we had an awesome experience with our coordinator Julia who is efficient, knowledgeable, and very supportive. Beautiful venue, incredible hospitality. And the food was AWESOME! Some of the best wedding food I have had anywhere. Thanks a ton Team Willowdale - we are so grateful for you!

My wife and I got married at the Willowdale Estate in April 2024. The wedding, the staff, and the entire experience was exceptional for the entire Wedding. The beautiful venue, the ethereal vibes, the delicious food, everything was wonderful. Our guest we're talking about wedding (again the food is incredible) for many months after, and still do. Veronica our event coordinator was awesome throughout the planning process and on the day of, and didn't hesitate when we needed to pivot minor things to make the experience seamless. I could go on and on about how amazing the day was, but simply said it's an 11/10 on the scale of being spectacular. I give it my full endorsement.

Words cannot express how amazing the Willowdale Estate is. Every single person is wonderful and beyond helpful! Emily made everything seamless and beyond enjoyable. We felt like we were at home, having the best party of our lives.

The best decision I made as a bride-to-be was booking Willowdale as our venue. Not only was our wedding genuinely perfect, exactly as I imagined and hoped it would be, but all of our guests complimented us on the venue itself and all of the little details that our Coordinator, Jeannine, and her team brought to life. The level of customer service throughout the entire process, including towards our guests on the day of, is unparalleled. On our tour, we were immediately blown away by the effortless beauty of both the inside and outside of the estate, and the sales manager (Anna) answered all of our questions with ease. Throughout the planning process, as more questions arose, the Willowdale Events team was always quick to provide answers and helpful planning resources. Willowdale's provided Vendor List connected us to a team of top-notch vendors I'd also recommend in a heartbeat. Since all of these vendors have worked with Willowdale before, everything felt effortless on my end throughout the entire planning process. Everyone tells you to expect everything to go wrong on your wedding day, but absolutely nothing went wrong on my wedding day, which I credit entirely to Jeannine and Willowdale. My wedding day experience was entirely stress-free and fun because Jeannine handled everything for me, which allowed me to relax and fully experience and enjoy my wedding day. Our guests are still raving about our wedding, stating that it's the most beautiful, enjoyable, and overall best wedding they've ever attended (not to mention equally rave reviews about the food and cookies alone)! I cannot recommend Jeannine and the entire team at Willowdale enough.

It's been a month since our wedding and it's taken us this long to write a review, not only because we're still coming down from the high, but because it's difficult to express how perfect the day was and how grateful we are for everyone at Willowdale Estate - from the catering team, to the event staff, and most of all Jeannine and the care she put into helping us plan everything. We definitely threw some curveballs, but with every unique request came an enthusiastic response and flawless execution. The list of vendors they provided were fantastic and outside vendors we found blended perfectly with the staff. The food was incredible to the point we had comments from guests that it was the best wedding food they've had. All around would recommend and cannot thank Jeannine and everyone at Willowdale enough.

We absolutely loved our June wedding at Willowdale Estate! We happily booked the venue about 18 months in advance, and were so grateful to Willowdale’s team for expertly guiding us through the wedding planning process. We hosted our ceremony offsite, but from the moment we arrived for the reception, we were expertly taken care of! Our guests were blown away by the beauty of the property, the warmth and professionalism of the staff, and the superb quality of the food (many guests reached out to say it was the best wedding food they’d ever have - we’re inclined to agree!). Julia, our coordinator, helped us every step of the way, and made our day nothing short of spectacular. If you’re looking for a wedding filled with warmth and New England historic charm, you found the right place in Willowdale!

As soon as we did a tour of Willowdale Estate, we knew immediately it was where we wanted to get married and no other venue would compare! We wanted a winter wedding and got married on 01/06/2024. We knew it would be a beautiful wedding, but the staff and atmosphere at Willowdale is absolutely exceptional. We had Julia as our wedding coordinator and she made sure we had everything we needed ( down to every detail! ) for our big day! She answered every question, on the day of the wedding she made everything run so smoothly in such a nice calm happy manner. I didn’t have a care in the world on my wedding day, which is a huge relief as the bride!! We had dropped off some wedding decor without a real idea of where we wanted it to go. The time and effort Julia put in to decorate and set every detail up was amazing!!! She has a great eye and amazing taste! I was so thankful! She even did my bustle for my dress, made sure the groom and I got to try every hor d'oeuvre inbetween pictures, and that we were set with drinks for the night. Every staff member at the estate was kind, caring and calming, my guests raved about how delicious the food was, I can’t say enough how grateful we are to have had our wedding there. The venue is so unique and so much fun, our guests thoroughly enjoyed our wedding at Willowdale and we are so happy!! You won’t ever regret your choice to get married here

Words cannot even describe how perfect our special day was at Willowdale Estate. We knew from the minute we toured the venue that Willowdale was the right place for us - from the incredibly genuine people to the gorgeous venue site (especially for our cozy winter wedding). The day was seamless - our coordinator Jeannine was AMAZING, always available to answer questions leading up to our big day. Our guests still talk about how perfect our venue was for our winter wedding!!! Thank you thank you thank you to all the staff at Willowdale - we will never forget the way you made us feel during our first hours as a married couple.

The personalized experience and wedding coordinators made this an easy choice. I could not recommend Willowdale more and I received so many compliments that this was the best wedding anyone of my guests had ever been to. 10/10.

Our wedding at Willowdale Estate was truly as close to perfection as it can get. Everything from the food to holiday decor was spectacular, and our day of coordinator Jeannine and the staff were absolutely amazing throughout the planning and the day of! Willowdale was very accommodating through our process of rescheduling our wedding from 2020 and we are so grateful that we were able to make it happen. They are professionals who know how to keep everything organized and seamless. We and our guests had an absolutely wonderful time. We are so happy with our choice of having our wedding at Willowdale and highly recommend the venue to other couples!

We cannot say enough good things about Willowdale Estate and their staff! We chose Willowdale for our September 2023 wedding because of the beauty of the property, amazing food, and the ability for our pup to be included in our ceremony. Our wedding ended up being everything we could have dreamed of and more.

Julia was our day-of coordinator, and we cannot express our gratitude enough for her outstanding service. From the initial planning stages to the event day, her professionalism, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment to making our day special were truly remarkable. We especially appreciated her prompt and clear communication. We had a lot of questions during the planning process, and Julia was always responsive to our emails, calls, and inquiries, ensuring that we were informed every step of the way. Her ability to listen to our ideas and provide valuable insights made us feel that she understood the vision for our wedding day.

Julia's attention to detail was incredible. From the getting ready snacks, to managing all our vendors, to dinner service, speeches, and dances, every single aspect of the day was executed as planned. One of the highlights of our experience with Julia was her proactive approach to preparing for unexpected challenges, particularly with regards to the weather. A day before the wedding, it was clear that it was going to rain. This was of course disappointing, as we had envisioned an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard, but Julia worked with us to develop a contingency plan to hold our ceremony in the conservatory, which gave us peace of mind. We ended up going with this plan, and the ceremony was beautiful, with gorgeous views of the state park as the backdrop.

In addition to great communication and attention to detail, we were struck by Julia’s kindness and dedication to making sure we had the most special day. Of note, she made sure cocktails and hors d'oeuvres were waiting for us in the library following the ceremony, helped my (the bride’s) mom bustle my dress during cocktail hour, and when she heard me make a comment about how I hoped the oysters weren’t all gone yet, she personally brought me a plate.

Our wedding at Willowdale Estate was an absolute dream, thanks in large part to Julia's exceptional coordination. We are forever grateful for Julia and the team at Willowdale for their dedication, professionalism, and the unforgettable memories they helped create on our special day. From the very start, Willowdale was nothing but a dream. My husband and I absolutely fell in love with the venue on our tour and knew we had to get married there! There is a level of charm and character in the venue that you luckily don’t need to bring much to have a beautiful event. Especially if you plan on having a summer wedding in the courtyard like we did! We got married in September of 2023 but booked January 2021 with the plans to have a long engagement. From day one, the team at Willowdale was always quick to answer any questions, clarify any contract details/add ons, and be someone to bounce ideas off of even though our wedding was so far out! The team was so nice any time we were in the area, they alway let us walk the grounds just to get more of a feel for the place. This let us meet more of the staff more casually and get to hear about ideas from their past experiences!

The food is insane. Not only does it taste delicious but we had a wedding of around 200 people and the teams were so fast and efficient getting the food on the table so many of our guests were impressed! (Shoutout to the amazing cookies for dessert! I know everyone mentions them but it's for a reason!!!) The bar does phenomenal as well! With our size wedding, we had a single bar with I believe 3 bartenders that started inside and for the reception, moved outside to the courtyard. There was not a single time I did not have a drink in my hand. And I know being the bride that might be expected, but we had several guests tell us how the staff basically had remembered other orders and had them at the ready. The only time there was a line for drinks was during that transitional period from moving the bar but it took place during speeches, and the tables also had wine service during that time.

Lastly, I cannot end this review without shouting out our phenomenal coordinator, Jeannine. We met about 6 weeks before the wedding. Since we had such a long engagement, we had a lot of things already figured out by then and just passed everything over to her. She executed everything BEAUTIFULLY! No detail went unnoticed by her and most importantly she took the time to check in with us to not only give the updates of things going smoothly, but to make sure my husband and I had moments for ourselves. She dove head first to handle any mishaps that may have come up and diverted any issues away from being our problem. For example, I had a bridesmaids dress ripped to the point of it not being wearable before walking down the aisle, and Jeannine became an instant seamstress???? And fixed it to the point the bridesmaid didn’t have to worry about it the rest of the night. Amazing!!

All in all, things are going to happen on your wedding day that you can't control. And it can be hard to not stress about it and take it into your own hands to fix. But at Willowdale, those getting married are not the host, but the guests of honor. I would not change a single thing about my wedding (ripped dress included) and that is all thanks to the team and beautiful venue at Willowdale Estate.

The Willowdale was the perfect venue, from the setting, to the food, and and everything in between. We worked with Alyssa as our coordinator and she was extremely helpful. If you are looking for the picture perfect garden wedding, look no further!

Willowdale was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding - beyond our wildest dreams. My partner and I met in Boston and lived there together for about 4 years before getting engaged, but then we were about to move out of the state. We decided to get married in the Boston area to have a good excuse to come back and see friends and family. We toured one other venue before Willowdale but fell totally in LOVE with Willowdale as soon as we saw it. My partner said, "I want to marry a special woman in a special place," meaning Willowdale, and that closed the deal! The house itself is beautiful, you have access to all of the upstairs getting ready rooms throughout the whole night, the courtyard where the ceremony happens is just magical, and even the tent is very tasteful and doesn't ruin the aesthetic.

Willowdale staff were very organized in sending us documents about the food/drink options, decor rental options, recommended vendors. We booked nearly every vendor based on their recommendation and we were totally blown away by everyone (we used Karla Cassidy for florals, Joe Carson for DJ, Shane Godfrey for photography, and Black Tie Limo for transportation). Willowdale also has an easy to use online planning tool called Planning Pod that you use to make all selections and payments, it was very straightforward.

My partner and his brother attended a food tasting about 7 months before we got married, they had a great time and had a lot of nice food options served to them! Luckily at Willowdale you can pick a variety of entrees and appetizers and I think we met everyone's needs. We also opted to do dessert through Willowdale rather than get a cake and that worked out perfectly, everyone was so impressed.

About 6 weeks before the wedding we were paired with a wedding coordinator, Emily McTeague, who was AMAZING! She was super responsive and attentive, gave us good advice for things we didn't know how to do, corresponded directly with our vendors as needed, and more. We had a zoom call with her about a month before to finalize our details and then another meeting with her the week of the wedding to double check everything. We were SO impressed with everything she did, especially on the day of. Neither of us had to worry about anything, we just showed up and everything was exactly where it was supposed to be, at the right time and in the right way. She went above and beyond for several things, including but not limited to making sure my MOH had somewhere to store an extra baby bottle of breast milk in the fridge and sending one of the staff to Macy's to buy us a replacement champagne glass when one of our special ones for the sweetheart table broke as they were setting up - we had no idea that they would go to such lengths to ensure we had an awesome experience.

We had an amazing experience getting married at Willowdale. Our coordinator Emily was incredible to work with, and made our day seamless. She went above and beyond, and made so many details special for us. The grounds are beautiful, and we loved using multiple spaces (indoor and outdoor) throughout the day. The food was delicious, and we loved how many options we had. We would 100% recommend having your wedding at Willowdale.

Incredible venue. We were sold when they said the food and bar were included so it was two less vendors to find and coordinate. All our guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The venue itself is stunning and the team to work with are amazing and make everything as easy as possible and dare I say... enjoyable! This was a stress free wedding planning experience with the Willowdale team. They did everything they possibly could to give us the wedding that we wanted, including waiting out the rain so we could have the ceremony of our dreams outside in the courtyard. You won't regret it.

My husband and I got married at Willowdale in August and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day or venue. We chose Willowdale because we wanted:
-a gorgeous, unique venue (not a cookie cutter wedding).
-our wedding to have some indoor and outdoor components, but for there to be an excellent rain plan so we didn’t have to worry about weather at all (New England summer is too unpredictable for that!)
Willowdale was really the only venue in the area that fully satisfied these requirements. We initially visited in the summer and were sold by how beautiful both the estate and the gardens were with everything in bloom, truly picturesque. We were blown away by how knowledgeable, accommodating and patient the staff members were right from the first interaction when we reached out for information. Our coordinator Julia was incredible, so detail oriented and flexible and helped make sure the day went smoothly. She was available and responsive throughout the planning process, which made it a pleasant, stress-free process. Our guests had an amazing time and we received multiple comments about how gorgeous the venue was. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding! We highly recommend having your wedding at Willowdale, you will not regret your decision.

Having our wedding at Willowdale Estate was the best decision we made! From the venue, to our coordinator (Jeannine), the food, and the cookies.. everything was perfect. They focus on so many meaningful details to make your special day a dream. The best part was the desert table with the ice cream bar! Our friends and family still talk about it six months later. The food was 10/10 in my opinion. Everything was delicious! Jeannine went above and beyond for me the day of my August wedding. There was a chance of rain which would push us inside for our ceremony. Seeing how I was a little upset about this (also pregnant and emotional) , Jeannine set up two ceremonies in case the rain held out. I was so appreciative of all the hard work the staff did! Can’t say enough about how beautiful this venue is and how amazing the staff is. Highly recommend!

I truly cannot say enough good things about Willowdale! From start to finish, working with them and our coordinator (Julia!) was an absolute pleasure and so incredibly easy. Julia was so kind, friendly, professional, and calm throughout the entire wedding day. We received several comments from guests (who have worked within the wedding industry) on what a well paced and beautiful day it was. The grounds are stunning, the getting ready suites were spacious, and the food was impeccable (I had so many guests tell me their filet was the best they had ever had in their life). Willowdale is truly a hidden gem and I cannot sing its praises enough!

We had appointments did several beautiful highly reviewed venues but once I stepped on the grounds, I know Willowdale was the ONE! I fell in love with the mansion and grounds and the staff. Julia was incredible to work with. She is truly a lifesaver and not just a day of coordinator. She was so responsive and genuinely wanted to make sure all our requests were met. She was our peace of mind or our wedding day and was able to rally us and our large wedding party (over 25 people) to help us get ourselves together and honestly I can’t believe how seamless our wedding day was. It was literally everything we dreamed of and more. Our guests continue to say how our wedding was the best wedding they ever attended, how amazingly beautiful the grounds were and the food- INCREDIBLE is an understatement! My wedding was 7/7/2023 and I’m still on cloud 9 with how perfect beautiful magical and fun the day was! 10/10 recommend the Willowdale.

We worked with Jeannine and I cannot say enough how much she made our day perfect. The entire staff was so professional and made us feel like we were special, even though they had done this before. It was the perfect blend of "I know what I am doing and have a lot of experience" and "your day is unique and your own, how can we get there?". Last minute things were handled with grace - as an example, apparently our cake place had messed up the delivery time and was not there when we got to the venue. Jeaninne completely handled everything about it, called them and got the cake there before it was needed - something I did not want to be doing that day.

Everyone had complimented us on how beautiful the night was and how good of a time they had. We are still shocked at how blessed we were to have Willowdale Estate and their staff.

Deciding to get married at willowdale was the best decision we made along our wedding planning journey. The venue is beautiful, so unique, and the staff is truly amazing. Our coordinator Emily put so much time and effort into making sure our day was perfect and accommodating our last minute specific needs (like deciding to rent a stage three days before!). Her professionalism, attention to detail and organizational skills were on full display. We got SO many compliments from friends and family about how beautiful the entire wedding was, particularly highlighting the exemplary food and service at Willowdale. Our wedding day was nothing short of magical, and we owe much of that to Emily and the entire Willowdale team.

She helped offload so much of the stress of wedding planning, and we are so appreciative of all the hard work and efforts placed by the events team.
