    Incredible!

Christine was amazing to work with throughout the entire planning process! She helped us to find the perfect destination spot for our honeymoon! Not only did she help us with choosing an amazing resort (Sandals Grande St. Lucian in St. Lucia), she also helped us with booking excursions & providing helpful tips. Every time we reached out to Christine, she responded quickly & would always give us a call to chat about any questions we had. She is the best! We cannot thank her enough for helping us plan a truly unforgettable honeymoon! We look forward to using You & Me By the Sea for all our future travel plans!!

    Excellent service and highly recommend!

I had the pleasure of using You and Me By The Sea for my daughter’s destination wedding and could not be more pleased with the results! Christine was extremely knowledgeable and super organized, and made sure that all of the details were taken care of. She provided us with a variety of options to choose from and worked with us to ensure that everything was exactly as we wanted it. She arranged the accommodations and transfers with ease, everything was taken care of and exceeded our expectations. I have nothing negative to say about Christine and highly recommend her services for anyone looking for a stress-free, hassle-free wedding experience that will make your special day truly unforgettable.

    Wonderful service!

We chose to go with a travel agent to alleviate some of the stress of vacation planning and Christine did not disappoint! She called us back as soon as she received our request, even at 10pm. Everything was handled promptly, including the flight, and now we are on our way to St. Lucia! I am so glad we found our permanent travel agent in Christine!

Amazing experience I have ever had with a planner

The best planner I have ever work with. Made everything fit together and in a timely manner. While everything else was crazy, she planned everything stayed in contact. Put a bow in it and the best experience ever.

She was amazing and first to respond to general inquiry I made online. She got the job done.

I could not be more pleased with the service we received. It was prompt, knowledgeable, and delivered to exceed our expectations. Christine displayed a personal touch that was refreshing, all while getting the job done with utmost alacrity.

    Simple/Easy/Best Honeymoon!

@You and Me by the Sea
created such a magical experience for me and my husband on our trip to Hawaii for our honeymoon. It was such a magical trip and Christene helped us each step of the way. She contacted us to keep us updated on where we would need to go and was on call if we had questions! I would suggest booking any future trips with her as this was a trip to remember!

    Bad Experience

I signed a wedding planning contract with Christine at the end of January 2023, and paid her 500 dollar fee on February 2, 2023 after finding her here on Wedding Wire. During our first phone call her presentation of her services were wonderful. She explained that this is her own small business and is always available for her clients, especially her brides, and while she does not have an office, we can meet somewhere in Long Island that worked for both of us (we never met). We shared emails and text messages trying to plan my wedding in Punta Cana for April 2024. The first red flag was when she got annoyed with me because I sent her a text message and email early in the morning. I only did this because she said I can text her anytime, if I would have known it bothered her, I wouldn't have sent it. She called me during her vacation and sent me pictures of herself which I thought was odd, but albeit friendly. During a later conversation, thru it in my face, saying "Well, I called you on my vacation". (thank you, but I didn't ask you to, and it wasn't necessary) She prepared a contract that stated she will book all my guests accommodations, room transfers and airfare (if necessary). She did state the 500 dollar planning fee was non-refundable over the phone and in the contract I signed at the end of January, explaining that ensures she gets paid in the event that I cancel the wedding. She then prepared a room block contract that we did not sign because she was unable to explain and answer several questions about it. I attempted to text Christine about the room block and she responded rudely telling me to stop texting her. I was very confused and hurt as I trusted her. Christine then cancelled on me by sending me an email on March 24, 2023. I tried to call her and she would not answer. I was devastated as I thought I had found an agent to help me. I never imagined she wouldn't refund the money as she is the one who breached our contract, but she refuses to give our money back. Because she made sure to put "non-refundable" in there, she protected herself. So, from the time I paid her, to the time SHE CANCELLED on me was 51 days. She may be able to keep my 500 dollars although she never booked one guest, not even me. I learned a harsh lesson doing business with Christine. I was not protected, and it was my fault, because I signed the contract never imagining Christine would cancel on us. I requested my 500 dollar planning fee back as she cancelled on me and she refused to refund my money. I am currently in a dispute with my credit card company to hopefully recover the money. This experience made an exciting and special time very stressful. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Christine of You and Me by the Sea.

You and Me By The Sea Travel's reply:

Wedding Wire keeps removing my response even after I make the changes they requested... See below..

Elaina (*** Wedding Wire Request Note: last names need to be removed) found me on Wedding Wire and contacted me early in October of 2022 regarding the planning of her destination wedding. She scheduled a 30-minute complimentary consultation to discuss her wedding. During this session, I reviewed all my services and included what was expected from the bridal couple. She assured me that there would be no delays on her end. The consultation ran for about 70 minutes. By the end of the consult I was asked to send over a contract, and she would sign and return with the $500 non-refundable consulting fee.During the month of October before signing the contract, Elainia had contacted me numerous times via text and email asking questions, and I responded. I reached out to Elaina in early December to see if she was interested in my services, and was told she would get back to me in January 2023. She didn't have the money to pay my planning fee. In late January 2023, I received an email with a copy of the Destination Wedding planning contract signed, and Elainia wanted to pay the planning fee. I explained to Elainia my planning fees have gone up, but I would accept the old agreement because I felt like we bonded and had the same work ethics. In addition, I was excited to work with her in planning her dream wedding. She paid the fee, and we were off to the next step. During our conversations, she invited me and my husband to her engagement party to meet her guests so they would feel comfortable when they book their rooms. Out of the blue, she then recanted and indicated I was only permitted to attend for one hour to the engagement party. I thanked her for the invite and informed her. Unfortunately, I would not be able to attend due to a previous commitment. During the month of February, we exchanged many phone conversations and text messages, and I explained the next steps. Over the next couple of weeks, I contacted 3 suppliers through emails and phone conversations and negotiated room prices and transfer costs. After securing the best prices, Elaina was asked to pick out rooms for her guests. We discussed through text messages and emails the best options for her guests. I explained to her that each supplier requires you to respond within their timeframe and place a deposit within 10 days of the quoted contract. She delayed in responding and said that she needed to consult with her Fiance(Louis ) (*****WEDDING WIRE REQUEST Note: last names need to be removed)and he is working long shifts this week. I kept in contact with Elaina and informed her I needed a response. Unfortunately, this first contract fell through because there was no response within the 10-day timeframe. When I got their room preferences the first week of March 2023, I explained that I was going on a family vacation out of the country the 2nd week of March and will submit her requests to the supplier and ask for the same prices I negotiated for the first time around. She responded thank you. I contacted the supplier and was able to secure the exact room rates and room categories as before while on vacation and received the new contract. I reached out to Elaina while out of the country and informed her the supplier had changed the timeframe to 7 days to sign the contract. I informed her I will be en route home on day 7 of the contract so if she wanted to move forward it needed to be signed. Elaina asked where I was and I responded in St Lucia. I asked her if she would like to see one of the excursions I had been on and the breathtaking views of the beach. She responded of course. So I sent over a few pictures of the resort and my dune buggy experience. Her response was that looks amazing, and she asked more questions about St Lucia and what I had done on vacation. Afterward, I reminded her I needed to know if she wanted to move forward with the contracted rooms because we were on a deadline. The response was I will text you later after I get back from the gym and speak to Louis. She contacted me the next day and said she would like to see the contract that the travel advisor is required to sign. I explained to her that it is an agreement between the advisor and supplier and it has proprietary information, which I am not permitted to disclose. Her response was that I was hiding things from her and I was shifty and she can't work with someone who is hiding information. I explained that the contract has sensitive information which I can't disclose and that she would not be signing it I was. After several nasty text messages from her, I told her that I would have my assistant in Colorado write an abridged version of the contract. She said Okay. I forwarded her the "client copy" of the contract and reminded her we had 5 days left to sign. Her response was I will look over it and get back to you. Around 8:30 pm on Sunday, Elaina texted to ask if we could set up a call on Wednesday at 7 pm after she got home from the gym to go over the contract. I explained it was my last evening away and I would not be available until 8 pm because we were going to a birthday celebration dinner for my Husband. She agreed to 8 pm. I called her at 8 pm for the consult and was told that she was invited to go out for dinner by her Daughter, and she doesn't turn down a free dinner, and she was in the restaurant eating. I explained that I was leaving the next day and the contract needed to be signed by the time I got home late Thursday night or the contract would expire on Friday and we would need to restart the process over again. The rooms and prices I quoted might not be available the next time. She put me on speakerphone at the restaurant and went over the contract while she ate with her family and Louis asked questions. Louis sounded annoyed and hesitant to sign. The conversation took around an hour, and continued while she was driving home. While she was driving home she ordered me to sign the contract to move forward. Elaina indicated that she would text me her card information later to secure the rooms. Also she would send over the client agreement signed when she got home. I signed the travel agent contract with the supplier after we got off the phone. On Thursday while I was at the airport I received her credit card information via text message to secure the rooms. When I got home late Thursday night and was on a secured wifi I paid the deposit for the rooms. On Friday I sent over a confirmation her rooms were secured and asked her to please send over the signed client contract. She said she would as soon as Louis was home from work and works double shifts. This should not be removed because this caused delays in responses (***** WEDDING WIRE REQUEST Note: this is not related to the wedding related experience and will need to be removed.) At around 8:30 pm on Friday evening I started getting text messages from Elainia as to why I used GOGO for the supplier that she googled them and they had terrible reviews. She told me I didn't understand her correctly and that this is her special day and she doesn't want any problems. I explained I have used GOGO Groups in the past and had no issues. She informed me she didn't want her friends and family to pay $67 for round-trip transfers and that she could do better. She doesn't pay that much for her transfers when she goes to DR. I explained to her it is part of the package that she agreed to. She then asked me for the name of the transfer agency because she wanted to google them and research them. I, at that point, asked her why she hired me if she was going to go over everything I was doing. A destination Wedding is supposed to be easy and hassle-free. I kindly reminded her that I haven't received the contract I sent her on Monday yet. It has been 5 days and I would appreciate it if she could please email me the signed copy.. Monday morning I was woken up at 7 am by a text message from Elaina detailing all her ideas/demands she required me to answer. I responded and asked her if she would be so kind as to text me later in the morning or email me her list. The response was I was rude for asking her to respond later in the morning, and she wanted to talk to me about it. I called her around 10 am and tried to explain to her. I keep my phone on throughout the night for clients in transit in case of emergency or missed flights. Elainas said she will continue to text me at 7 am because she thinks the clearest at this time and I don't need to respond until after 12 noon. Louis her fiancee, responds in the afternoon because he is not a morning person. I explained I could be up late with an emergency and her texts are not necessary that early please schedule an email for later in the morning. Her response was no. I then asked if she forwarded the signed client copy of the contract her response was not yet.Over the third week of March 2023, she continued to text me at all hours of the day and night. My response was please send over the signed client copy of the contract. She kept saying she would send over the signed contract but nothing. By day 14 I still have yet to receive a copy of the signed agreement, which has put her in breach of the client contract. All of the suppliers' contracts were canceled due to the inability to sign the client's copy of the contract she demanded within the allotted time frame. On Friday, March 24, 2023, I explained in an email that I could no longer work with her and that her room deposit would be returned. But her nonrefundable will not be returned. I wished her all the best in her April 2024 wedding. I have a cease and desist order against Elaina due to her posting slander and misformation about me and my company on social media. She has posted 8 times on various platforms. She has contacted bridal expos and posted about me on their pages. In addition, she asked her friends to send disturbing direct messages through social media. She called me from her workplace many times, ****Wedding wire wanted me to show my business lines detailed bill to prove she was calling from work (Note: this is not related to the wedding related experience and will need to be removed.) and stated that she would harass me until I returned her money. I did offer to return $250 of the planning fee, but she declined the offer. Elaina has charged back through Paypal and her credit card company, stating I have done no work. I have sent over all the documentation of my work to both Paypal and Barclays card, and they sided with me.

Enough is enough this is my response and told exactly what has transpired and how I serviced this Client.
