My husband and I worked with Barbie for our small wedding at WOW on Broadway. I cannot express enough how easy she was to work with. The space is really one of a kind! The upstairs is fit with a beautiful dressing room for the ladies while the main level has a room with a pool table for the men to hang out in beforehand. Upstairs has gorgeous sleeping rooms with room for all of the family traveling in from out of town. The venue itself has gorgeous details from an old spiral staircase and walls full of books to exposed brick and string lights. Even better is there are farmhouse tables and gold chiavari chairs on site! I highly recommend hosting your next event at WOW on Broadway! -

From the beginning, Barbie and Bryan were amazing! They were always available to answer my questions (and I had a lot!) and put me at ease through the planning process. The closer the wedding got, the more nervous I got about things running smoothly for the day. The day came and Barbie made sure things ran PERFECT! I don’t know what I would have done without them! The venue itself is very convenient because you can have both the ceremony and the reception there. It’s beautiful on the inside and made my rustic wedding dreams come true. I would recommend this venue to everyone!Your Event Space's reply:

I had to cancel 2 months after booking venue. It was paid in full, $4700 and 5 months before the date we set. She did not issue ANY kind of refund.Your Event Space's reply:

First of all your wedding was booked in January for a prime October date and the amount was not $4700 and the correct amount was paid in 2 separate payments; 1 in January at the time of the signing of the contract and the 2nd in late March and according to our understanding it was paid by a different individual. At the time of the booking, you were fully aware of our refund policy in writing, verbally and then reminded 2 more times on the invoices. When someone books a date, it removes the date off the calendar and other people are unable to take that date. You made a commitment to us for that date and we committed to not giving that date to anyone else. We fully honored our part of the contract.
When you cancelled your event, you knew the ramifications of the contract. We were under no contractual obligation to refund anything but as we told you, if we were able to rebook your date, we would refund you 50% We made attempts to rebook the date and even ran an ad on facebook but were unsuccessful. It can be extremely difficult to book a date once you are within 6 months of the date as most people book several months or years in advance like you did. This is why we have the policy we have and we make sure all our clients are fully informed of our refund policy prior to contracting with us. You were fully informed of this as you signed the contract in January and on each invoice that you paid it clearly stated non refundable payment.
It's time to take responsibility for your actions and stop using defamatory and libelous language.
