If you want to see what a one carat ring looks like, there are only 100 sites to do that.

    I don't understand these posts.

I have no idea what size mine is...but I'm curious. Did you all just ask FH/FW? It's not important, I love my ring, but it's something I've wondered about.

Center stone about 1 carat, not sure of the total weight. I haven't asked FH any details on the ring, but occasionally the jewelers at the store tell me about the center stone when I am waiting for it to be cleaned.

I think up until page 3, this thread was pretty good about doing what the OP asked for - seeing what apx. 1 carat looked like in different shapes and settings and on different fingers! I don't see anything wrong with that and think it helps people see how one size can look different and what it might look like in "real life" vs. what ads tell us. I was more so wondering about the girls who had 1.5c, 2c, 2.5c rings were doing posting on a thread that specifically asked for a smaller carat weight...

@Brooke the only reason I know the carat weight of my e-ring is it was on the appraisal that you need a copy of in order to get your ring insured. Make sure you have your rings insured!! Most likely, they cost too much to be insured by regular renters or homeowners insurance.

Same, saw the paperwork for insurance purposes. And all I know is the center is over a carat and I don't even remember by how much. But I couldn't tell you what the total weight is and it doesn't really matter. No I'm not a materialistic bitch because I know a round-a-bout of my center stone weight. And it doesn't somehow mean we have some petty relationship cause it's not a small ring he bought cause he really wanted to marry me and it's all he could afford at the time. He picked it on his own with zero input from me, with what he was comfortable paying for. I absolutely love my ring. Hell yeah I like to show it off cause it sparkles like no one's business. I also don't get why people are getting worked up about this post. There was a small ring post, there are posts asking for a certain centerpiece or a theme or what you got your bridesmaids or your groom.... just stop with the negatively. We're all different, different styles, from different places with different personalities. Can't we all just get along? Lol!

I kind of agree with Annakay- usually I'm not a big fan of these threads- but this one seemed fairly innocuous.

My ring totally doesn't count anyway- black diamonds just aren't valued the same- but eh. whatevers- I"m pretty lazy about showing it off.. and the only reason I know how big mine is (giggity) is because I went back and looked on the site where we bought it.

Shrug- we bought it together- I had no idea how big the stone really was till I got it- now I kind of wish we had gotten something smaller- but eh- it was WAY to pretty to send back!

I haven't shown off my ring on WW yet, and this thread is completely innocuous, so here goes!

1.07 ct center stone, 1.38 ct total weight (just had to look up the appraisal docs for that level of specificity).

    ETA: cushion cut, grammar

Center diamond is a little over 1 ct. The close up is the one I sent my mom right after he asked me and the other picture is more of my nails but I think it gives you a better reference.
