1 Year Anniversary Ideas?

My anniversary is next week and we just decided to stay indoors grab some takeout and look through our wedding photos together.

i didn't go the traditional gift route, i got him a wallet and engraved it with a couple of lines off my vows i forgot to say at the wedding aha.

We have the same anniversary. I had wanted to go for a long weekend getaway, but because of Covid that isn't really an option. Instead, we are going to go out to dinner at one of my favorite restaurants. They have outdoor seating so we are able to eat there. When we get home, we will eat the top layer of the cake we saved. We also had a message in a bottle thing at our wedding so we will read all of the messages our guests wrote to us. As for gifts, we are purchasing our wedding album for our anniversary.

Aw! We are looking at a weekend getaway since Colorado & Wyoming are open for recreational travel. We obviously can't do the traditional bar/restaurant experience but we still want to do a getaway. We originally wanted to fly somewhere so we are bummed that's not an option anymore. I love the cake idea! Thank you for reminding me, I'll email our bakery and see if they can make a replica!

So fun! We didn't save ours in the freezer but I did contact our bakery to have them remake our wedding cake for us! We had a one layer one with a bunch of other small desserts.

I'm sure it will be fine plenty of couples do it! It's the thought that counts anyway. Our venue gave us a bottle of champagne so I know we are going to drink that for sure on our anniversary!

We have our cake saved, but I don't know if we were planning on doing gifts. We've both been furloughed/laid off since the pandemic, so we might just keep it *super* simple.

If we're lucky, we'll actually be able to see people by August.

That makes sense! Spending time together is the most important thing anyway We are considering a weekend getaway but don't want to spend the money if we can't utilize restaurants and breweries and things like that!

Our anniversary is coming up in October and we are planning a little getaway to the mountains. We figured that even if things close again, we could still do grab and go from local restaurants, breweries, and wineries. Plus we could always go on hikes or just enjoy the hot tub and views from our cabin.

I have not even started thinking about a gift yet .

We have had a few trips cancelled due to Covid. Really bums me out, but I'd rather it ruin our trips than our wedding! We all got lucky getting married last year!

H and I are not going on vacation to celebrate because we have a wedding the weekend before our one year anniversary. Not sure about gifts yet, but I know we will recreate our wedding dinner (and get cake from the bakery) to celebrate!

Couldn't hurt to ask! I don't have any recipes from the hotel, but I think I can piece it together.

My Husband and I were going to do a photoshoot but with all the covid we opted out. We neded up doing a picnic and the weather was perfect!
