Will there be other children there? If not, you can say that unfortunately the bridal shower is adults only.

"Please note that this will be an adults only event." Big smiles, understanding head tilt if they cannot attend.

Hmmm then that's a bit more tough. Is the reason that you don't want the 1 year old because he's a boy? Cuz that doesn't really make a difference at 1. Also, I don't think he will really take away from the bride at her shower. My husband's cousin brought their 1 and 1/2 year old daughter to my shower and she was just fine. She ran around a bit and people cooed at how cute she is a few times and that was about it. About the same amount of attention as when people engage in conversation amongst themselves. I think the games/gift opening parts are really the only time all eyes are 100% on the bride during the shower.

Well, in that case I wouldn't understand. An 8 year old can be just as distracting as a 1 year old depending on their personalities. And I don't see why gender of a child would make a difference. You may do as you please, but be prepared for her to be taken aback.

Having A One Year Old There Won't Take Away Any Attention From Your Sister. I Also Think If You Have One Child Invited Regardless Of Age, The Other Should Be Too.

To be honest like pp said it should be ok - I had a one year old at mine and she didn’t make any noise or fuss or anything it’s like you forgot she was there aha

Meh, I don't think showers are really a place for children. Plus they'll probably be super bored and might throw a tantrum if they see you opening gifts and they don't get to. I'd say no kids.

Well it depends on what type of bridal shower is it and what actitives would be there. Like kid friendly is just a crowd and its going to be basic cake photos dancing laughing .....i wouldnt want a one year old at my bridal shower...

It is up to the shower hostesses. If they consider the child well behaved, there may be no problem. But any parent must be graceful about it if told, sorry but no. I have been to lots of showers with kids.
