10 days- i repeat 10 Days! Week before wedding diet?

Katie, on March 13, 2018 at 12:24 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 7

HI All! I get married in TEN DAYS!!! Currently freaking out...

I'm feeling great about my body and dress fitting but I just want to ensure I feel confident! I think that's the most important piece of the puzzle, besides how I look. But, If I don't feel good on the day, I won't think I look good- and I don't want that!

Anyone have any good advice for certain foods to stick to the week before the wedding? Obviously, I'm already cutting out anything that could make me bloat- beans, carbonated beverages, sweets, dairy, salt, bread, veggies that cause gas (Broccoli, cauliflower, brussels etc). But I would love any tips on what to eat to make sure I feel my best!

THANKS!!!

Beyond cutting things to make you bloat, drink a ton of water. I also recommend eating fruits and veggies to make sure you don't catch a cold etc. too (or at least take a multi-vitamin).

I would eat the same things that I eat every day (minus the gassy foods). Now is not the time to try new foods or new recipes. Eat the meals that you usually eat that make you feel nourished and satisfied.

Apart from cutting out gassy foods, I would just eat whatever you normally eat. Drink a lot of water over soda and alcohol and that’s it. I wouldn’t recommend juicing or trying new foods this week. Your stomach may not agree with foods you don’t normally ingest and you could create a new problem. I.e.: I don’t juice because it makes me **** all day, I wouldn’t be messing with my body the week before the wedding. Get outside, get some fresh air, pre-wedding mani/pedi, and love your fh!

    Hey date twin!

I'm just trying to make sure I drink a lot of water and nothing else besides black coffee, avoid foods that make me bloat, and make sure I don't get hangry/stressed. I always keep a bowl of fruit in the house for snacking and I've been going through it pretty quickly!

DON'T start any new diet, especially not something like juicing.

Keep your water intake up, and cut alcohol and high salt/sugar/fat foods.

The week before your wedding is not the time to try something new, and realistically your body is what it is at this point. In 10 days you shouldn't drop more than a pound, anything more wouldn't be healthy.

I'm getting married the day after you! I can't believe how quickly it's all coming up!

Aside from my bachelorette party this weekend where I know I'll indulge a little bit in some sweets and alcohol, I'm going to try to stick to mostly whole foods and veggies for the next couple weeks. And a lot of water! Try to avoid any greasy, salty, or sugary foods or sodas - they'll make your body retain water and bloat and you'll just feel gross. Just try to balance your diet with 1/4 lean protein, 1/4 good carbs, and 1/2 veggies for your meals with lots of water and you should be fine.

I'm also starting to do mostly cardio at this point in my workouts. I did mostly weightlifting in the months leading up to the wedding, but am switching gears to help lean out a little bit more. I probably go to the gym/jog a good 4-5 times a week and switch up between low-intensity and high-intensity cardio. For me personally, I always feel a little leaner just in general after a good cardio workout. Just don't kill yourself on the treadmill! A half hour of one kind a day a few times a week is all you need.

Also - get your steps in every day! Even just walking a few miles a day every day will help you feel awesome leading up to the wedding. Now is not the time to be a couch potato.
