First off I want to say I am soooooo excited I am so close to marrying my best friend!! It gets more and more exciting the closer we get and now we are in the process of making the final details etc. I remember when we had over 400 days and here we are at exactly 100! Its gone by so fast.

Now for the advise part. I had all these lofty goals of losing 70lbs when we first got engaged. But in a long engagement I kept thinking...oh I have plenty of time. I have lost and gained the same 10 lbs! that's it. Now it's crunch time and i need to shape up fast. we have 100 days and a little over 3 months. I know all the healthy ways to loose weight and trust me I'm working on it. but I need real advise on how to loose weight rather quickly, my dress is still about 1 size too small. Please give me all the best advise you have! I need to knock off at least 15lbs, maybe 20 and tone up my arms and tummy. and just so you guys know, I am just in the obese category so its needed!

Really I agree with 2nd Bride, too. I am under 90 days and I started South Beach back in September. It is one of the best diets to use b/c it is healthy and gets you back to basics. It's tough and time consuming, but worth it. I have kept off the weight (even through the holidays) and feel good about myself. It's based on a Mediterranean Diet, which is considered the best diet to be on. AND by diet I mean nutritionally, not a "diet" to lose weight…being on a healthy well rounded diet will be your best friend. With that and exercise you will get to where you want to be. The South Beach process takes one month and it opened my eyes to what we should be eating AND took me back to grade school when we learning nutrition.

    Good luck! It isn't easy.

Oh yea, and I would suggest SparkPeople.com. It's a free website where you can find diets and exercise. I have done it for a number of years time and time again and it always helps me to see what I am consuming. If you are diligent you will see everything that you put in your body, so it's easier to understand how your specific metabolism reacts.

Cardio, Cardio, Cardio. Stay in your burn zone by either getting one of those belts (at any sports store) that monitor your heart rate or use the ones that come on the machines. Most people don't exercise in their burn zone and wonder why they don't lose. To tone your arms use free weights and do some arm exercises. The key is consistency 3-5 days a week if you are serious about losing. Forget all the fancy diets -- just eat regularly and watch your portions and high fat foods. If you starve yourself you will lose a little but gain back double.

Weight No More (Ohio) helped me when I was on the verge of gastric bypass surgery. The Key to their plan is eating every 2 hours very small portions which keeps the metabolism going and drinking lots and lots of water (about a half gallon or more a day). Protein and veggies are the staple to this plan but you can have some healthy carbs sparingly like low cal wheat bread, or baked potato once a day. Surprisingly, their plan is very easy to follow. Keep working out. Excercise is important in any weight loss program and will also relieve the stress.
