10/23/21- do i have anything left to plan?!

Alexis, on January 12, 2021 at 11:41 AM Posted in Planning 4 13
Hi guys!
I feel like I have everything planned for my wedding day (10/23) but I just can't tell if something is missing... obviously I have to do all final runovers, confirmations, and payments still.

-Booked venue

-Booked DJ

-Booked florist

-Booked photographer

-Booked videographer

-Booked cake lady-

-Booked catering/appetizers

-Created open bar list (buying two months before wedding)

-Created decor list (almost everything is bought besides a couple things that are on our registry)

-Created wedding website

-Created registry

-Ordered/sent out Save-The-Dates

-Ordered invitations (just working on printing the labels on them now)

-Created all necessary signs

-Created seating chart

-Chose music (we have a few simple songs left to choose and were slowly adding music to a requested list)

-Picked suits (still picking shoes)

-Picked bow ties

-Picked ring bearer suits and bow ties (letting them pick their own brown shoes and white shirt)

-Picked flower girl dress (it is not for sure but I like it and they just need to buy stockings and white shoes then)

-Picked hair style

-Picked makeup/scheduled makeup trial

-Engagement shoot is done

-Created the tags for the favors (these are smores so we cannot buy them until like September)

-We do NOT need transportation

-Booked wedding night accomodations

-Chose rehearsal dinner guests/meal

-Booked cabins for night before wedding

-Booked honeymoon

-Got all accessories/shoes/garter/undergarments

-Made a hotel block

-Booked day of coordinator (which is our venue lady lol)

-Picking wedding bands in April and buying them then

-Got my dress-Got officiant

-Bought gifts for wedding party/parents

-Booked boudouir shoot which is my gift for the groom

-Bought all wedding night lingerie

Am I missing anything?

I would just make a detailed check list to ensure you have and I would also look up day of getting readying things. I would look up day of getting ready lists in google as some that I have saved had stuff like place tips for vendors in envelopes, or check with officiant but also just stuff that you two do not want to forget for the day of.

I saw suits mentioned, but not bridesmaids dresses. Have those been handled?

Don't send tips until after the honeymoon is over when you have had time to assess the service/quality of vendors' performance with a clear head. Only tip for those who above and beyond the call of duty.

Do you have bridesmaids? Are they fitted in their dresses. You have gifts for them?
    Do you have your license?
    Pick up thank you cards.

Good list!!! A few additions if they apply:

Unity candleWhat time will your linens be on tables and who is responsible for doing that (very common for florist to arrive and linens aren’t pressed and on tables yet)Break in wedding shoesCake cutter delivery on cake table and who will pick them up at end of night so not to get lostGroomsmen tux return- we had one groomsman pick all up and return to tux shop

No unity candle, no linens. Shoes are actually my sister's boots and they have definitely been worn in! Already got the time scheduled and fees for the cake delivery. Parents are grabbing our left overs. Groomsmen are buying not renting. Smiley laugh

It looks like you picked a hairstyle, but have you booked a hairstylist yet?

Does your dress need alterations? If so, you should figure out where you’ll be getting that done as well as when.
Who is in charge of tear down and packing up all your decor? Are you taking the decor back to the hotel with you on the night of your wedding? If not, make sure you have someone in charge of handling that along with the gifts/card box.
Vows? Are you doing personal vows? If so, maybe start drafting that as well as figure out if you want to get vow books to write them in.
Are you and your bridal party getting ready together? If so and it’s going to be a long day, I would make sure you feed them breakfast or lunch. Same for the groomsmen.
Make sure you figure out who will be bustling your dress.

Date twins! Wow you are way ahead of me 😅 great checklist and reminder for me to get back on planning! I lost motivation for a while with covid but feeling much better about the sit now!

You obviously love lists (same!) if you haven’t already, add photography/videography shot list to your checklist and include names (and photos) of family and VIPs for photographers so they know who is who.
