Christa, on February 10, 2021 at 3:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

Any advice on how to keep organized/sane as the day gets closer and closer?? Omg COVID plus school, work, and planning a wedding - there's like 20 things that need to get done each day!

I'm not close to my wedding date yet (still 300+ days away), but I easily get overwhelmed when there's a lot of things to do!

First, breathe. Give yourself some time to relax and gather yourself before you tackle on the tasks for the day.

Second, I find it very helpful to have a checklist! It's nice to have daily to-dos on one sheet, and it calms me each time I tick something off of it.

Third, I'd also suggest taking time out of the day/week to not talk about the wedding. As hard as it is, it's beneficial to distance yourself for a little bit!

Been there girl!! The stress is so unreal. It was probably the most stressful time of my life, so I totally get it. Breathe, you can do this! Try to focus on one task a day to completion. Self care and laugh as much as you can!! Keep all wedding contracts in a binder. Delegate to bridal party on small things. You’re human, be kind to yourself ❤️❤️❤️

I'm focusing on my job and school and will pay more attention to my big day as it gets closer. I cut out all the non necessities and slashed the guest list.

I’m 52 days out! I love these forums on WW but I use The Knot’s planning checklist to keep me organized. Next month we have a lot to do but I’ve organized it into manageable parts.

Ok good it's not just me!!

I've been feeling a little crazy with how sudden my attention was needed everywhere all at once. I'm serious going to stick to the laughing thing. If I just kinda laugh stuff off it'll keep everything lighter.

Thank you so much for your advice! I can't wait to be in your shoes and just look back!! LOL

How are you managing your job and school right now with wedding planning? I am in the same boat and it's really a lot.

LOL!! It’s worth it in the end, but I will admit, I’m very happy to be just a guest again at future weddings!! You’re gonna love the other side 😂
