Saw this on an invitation site and thought i would share since everyone is having trouble with thier guests under standing... 12 Things RSVP does not Mean: 1.Reply if you want to 2.Reply if you feel like it 3.Reply when you get around to it 4.Refreshments Served Very Promptly 5.Wait to see if...

Saw this on an invitation site and thought i would share since everyone is having trouble with thier guests under standing...



12 Things RSVP does not Mean:

1.Reply if you want to

2.Reply if you feel like it

3.Reply when you get around to it

4.Refreshments Served Very Promptly

5.Wait to see if something better comes up for that date and time

6.Throw the invitation in a pile and forget about it.

7.Respond only if you're not coming

8.Respond the day of the party

9.Respond and then fail to show up

10."Maybe" is not an acceptable reply

11.I'm family so of course I'm coming, why should I respond?

12.And it most certainly does not mean show up with extra guests

    Oh, MrsJoseph...that is funny. I'll be having children, but that's still good. Oh speaking of being bitter about RSVP's. I just pulled one out of the mailbox today. They filled out absolutely nothing on it. Its just as if they took it out of the invite and directly into the envelope. I don't know if they were trying to be funny, but I sure as heck didn't laugh. What's more amusing is that I identified each and everyone of them where I only know who it went to. So I know exactly what genius sent it back that way...Aaargh! Oh, its only over a week late.

    Those are absolutely hysterical! I wish I had considered them.

    We had a website landing page created, and had everyone just respond via that page. It worked out really well, and, we knew exactly what people wanted to eat. We only had trouble with those who didn't have computers, but, we just printed our phone number on the invitation to take care of that. (we saved big time on postage, and, we helped the environment by not using any more paper)

    I am thinking of change my RSVP. I like it, plus it will give it a fun feel and you would diffently get them back.

    @detailed... maybe last minute they realized that they were late on sending it back and couldn't find a pen... so if you look at in a special light maybe they licked their finger and filled it out and you can see the saliva.. lol just a thought!!

    I like the cake 1 too (except with cheesecake) ... I am worried people will really say that they aren't coming but want me to mail them cake...

    LMAO@Sass!!! These are fantastic! We're nowhere near ready to send out invites, but I'm starting to get nervous about them anyway. Your post made me feel better. And I saw one similar to the cake one that was talking about bells:

    I'll be there with bells on!

    I'll be there sans bells

    Won't be there, heard there would be crazy people with bells
