14 Days!

AHHH! exactly two more weeks! So much to do and time is running out! Thank God I have my step mom helping me finish everything while I work. I feel I have no time to do anything working so much and having herniated disc so going to appointments and working is difficult. But getting super excited and nervous. Picked up my wedding dress yesterday and it's perfect! Tried to do my favors and realized I have the wrong sized baggies to do them so my mom bought more and will be here Sunday. Omg it's coming so fast!

I know just how that is! Sounds like everything is under control though and that you have your stepmom helping! Is yours a large wedding? My wedding is in 34 days. It's very small, actually a Catholic "convalidation" ceremony as we couldn't have a Catholic wedding 38 years ago when we were married (we did have a small non-denominational church wedding). But there are still some last minute details: tomorrow I'm ordering the flowers - our florist is a friend and said that around now would be fine. There'll be my small bouquet, single rose boutonierres for my bridegroom, our son the Best Man, and my Matron of Honor's husband who is ushering and taking photos, a small basket of flowers for our granddaughter who is 8, and a bouquet for the altar at church. I need to find gift bags for the favors -I only need 4 for the 8 wedding dinner guests: the priest, our son and his 2 young children, my MOH and hubby, and a set for us. I must finalize the wedding cake with my friend who is a professional baker - I'll be calling her tomorrow. And wrap the gifts for the Best Man and Matron of Honor. Also, my bridegroom needs to have his suit altered a bit as he lost weight, and he needs shoes. He works all the time and was away this weekend, and will be away next weekend so I hope he can get this done. I am also the victim of herniated discs in my back and neck so I must be careful, and am still getting 2 PT sessions a week. We need to get the guest room cleaned out and set up for our son and the kids who live out of state. This is the biggest chore. And, hopefully, our son and the kids will get here - he's a single dad with partial custody of his kids - he gets them every other weekend, and the weekend of the wedding isn't "his" weekend, however, he gets them for the summer and since June 2 is the last school day, and they spend summer here, he should have them that weekend. However, the ex is a "dragon lady" to put it mildly, and is arguing this so he needs to get his lawyer (he's suing her for full custody - long story) involved. They have a divorce and custody agreement but she's broken it many many times. I'm trying hard not to panic. The wedding dinner and table decorations for same were taken care of by my MOH and her hubby - they are very dear friends (also involved at our church - she's the music/choir director/organist, (I sing in the choir); he's a trustee and more. They are hosting the dinner and among her shower gifts, my MOH gave me the nuptial candles and wedding cross which will go on our table. I hope you are as excited as I am and that you will enjoy your very special day! Congratulations and much luck to you and FH!!
