Don't cry...just roll with the punches. I looked at the weather forecast for my day this Thursday-rain it will be...but I will also be the new Mrs.

You cannot control the weather so you might as well not worry about it, and just deal with whatever comes your way. However, I do think 15 days out is too far to accurately predict anything.

Can you get a tent? FH and I are getting married outside of the reception venue. Our ceremony will be moved into the reception area if the rain doesn't hold out. I'm just thankful there is no hurricane or severe rainstorm warnings.

15 days out? It'll change. I certainly wouldn't cry about something you can't control. Let alone this far out. Even the seven day forecast isn't very accurate.

    Hi,

I had to post to this. Weather forecasts are inaccurate that far out. We were supposed to have a sunny day for my wedding, what did it do? Rained for five days before (and during) the wedding... the area was a swamp... What did we do? Had the reception under a tent and bought citronella candles. Everyone still had a blast! And on top of that, we still ended up getting great photos! Bad weather = great photos!

Since your venue doesn't have a tent, see if you can get one on short notice, if not, go get umbrellas for everyone, in your colors. This will keep your guests dry and still create wonderful photos for your memories. Don't panic, remember, there is a fantastic solution to every problem!

I wouldnt stress about it until the 3-5 day mark! 15 day is not accurate at all! They even change at 7 day! Heck, half the time they arent even right!

You really should find a way to find a back up plan though. I mean you booked an outdoor venue with a 50/50 chance it would rain.

15 days is no big deal. Wait until a 7 day forecast is given. They are a little more accurate but, even then, everything can still change. Living in Houston, TX I've learned to NEVER trust the weather channel.

15 days is still to far out to get upset about. The storm could come in late or not at all. Have a back-up plan like buying cute umbrellas in your color or something similar. I am control freak too and have been watching the forecast for a month now, but I know it can change rather quickly. I will wait until 2 days before the wedding to have a freak out over the weather, if I even have one at all.

Can you call your venue to see what they have done in the past on rainy days? Maybe they have an area that you may move to in case of rain.

Like the other ladies said, the forecast will change. But if I see rain in the 15 day forecast for my wedding, I will have a box of tissues waiting aside me.

The days leading up to and including the day before our wedding the day was suppose to be bright, sunny and warm. I was so afraid of the guys having to sweat it out in black suits. Guess what? The day of was mostly cloudy, sunny later on and on the cool/warm side, even a little rain. The cloud actual helped the photos turn out great.

Don't trust the weather forecast that far out.

The 15-day forecast is way too unreliable to get upset about. It will probably change 5 times between now and then.

That being said, you should definitely have a backup plan, whether it's indoor space in the venue or a tent. Rain is always a possibility.
