15 pounds in 3 months

Mrs.Davis n 2011, on April 21, 2011 at 12:06 PM Posted in Fitness and Health 1 32

Is it possible to lose at least 15 pounds in 3 months. My dress should be here the end of May so I would like to be down 10 pounds by then. What can I do to drop these pounds...I have already been off of soda for about 2 mts and have gained about 6 lbs since then. Also I am always tired and out of energy, I went to the doctor and everything is normal. Are you ladies taking any vitamins or things like womans one a day to help gain energy. Oh and I have been drinking about 7 bottles of water a day.

It's very possible. You can safely lose 8lbs a month.

My mom used to be a clinician at a diet clinic. She said to go on a strict diet of something you like which is healthy such as Special K for breakfast with non-fat milk. Have a healthy lunch of yogurt and some fruit. Then have a normal dinner with controlled portions.

Keep up with the water and whatever vitamins the doc has you on. Cut out the snacks.

Tara is exactly right! Do all that, add in a little healthy excersize, lots of fruit and veggies! Portion control! Keep up drinking all that water and I would say if you are looking for more energy, try taking vitamins, that may help! Smiley smile

My mom started a no-sugar diet back in January. She's already lost 25 pounds. The idea is to consume LESS than 15g of sugar a day and under 4 servings of carbs (20g of carb = 1 serving). Bread is bad and always turns into sugar.

It may sound easy...but you really have to watch the labels of the food you in take, on everything. She made these cuts and goes on a 20 minute walk every day. She's literally shedding the weight off and of all the diets and programs she's tried, she's never been able to get results until this one. And she's been overweight since I've been a little girl. Her goal is to lose 6 lbs a month and she has been doing that for 4 months now. It's very attainable. Google "no-sugar" recipes and see what you can find. Also keep in mind that food like fruit contain a high amount of sugar. A lot of people are deceived that fruit sugar is good sugar, but it's fairly the same thing as sugar in chocolate. Good luck!!

Are you under-eating and trying to lose weight? Are you doing exercises like walking, or have hand weights or something you can do some strength training when you are hanging at home? How often do you cook in and know your ingredients?

I think women's health magazine online and fitness magazine online are really helpful with tips and things you might not have known are doing more harm than good on a weight loss plan.

I just cut down how much I was eating at each meal but at at least 5 times a day. I also worked out. I dropped more 24lbs in 4 months.

I cut out as many carbs as possible and starting doing the work out my boys do for football. It is kicking my but and I always feel hungry after, so I eat a spoonful of natural peanut butter. It fills me up without a bunch of sugar. Your goal is totally do able.

I have to be honest, I know cutting bread and carbs seems to work for a lot of people - but I don't know many who stick with it long term. I'm more about life style changes. I don't know what kind of bread you eat, but I think if you watch portions and make sure you have bread that is natural and has vitamins without a lot of preservatives or additives, you may be better off making a change instead of an elimination.

My first 15 lbs came off with the South Beach Diet. I like that because it cuts off bad stuff at first, but gradually you reintroduce healthier carbs after 2 weeks and it leads to a life style change.

I do the oral drops. You can get injections but it cost more and I don't do needles. I take 10 drops 3 times a day... Drink half y our weight in water... I was 200lbs so I drink 100oz of water a day. 0 caorie SOBE lifewater becomes your bestfriend. You can only eat 500 calories a day... which seems really low but you aren't hungry. 3.5 oz of meat... 3.5oz of veggies a meal. You lose between .5-1lb a day. In the beginning you lose a lot right away... 10lbs in 5 days. I was so happy. www.cocoshcg.com that's where I bought mine from. Me and my aunt both did it... no problems and loved it.

@Tara are you sure about the cutting out snack thing.. I was told it was important to have at least 2 a day so that my body wouldn't think I was starving it... Personally I feel like I"m constantly chewing and its alot to think about eatting all day so if your mom says I can cut them out I'm willing to try!!!

Instead of bread what about a wrap? Its less carbs usually and it will probably force you to eat a smaller portion in order for it to fit in the wrap.

Healthy weight loss is important and you should safely be able to lose 1-2lbs a week so in 3 months you should be able to lose between 12-24lbs with ease if you watch what you are putting into your body and work out on a regular basis.

It's possible. I've been eating Yoplait Light Yogurt for breakfast and a salad that I make on my own for lunch, and usually a healthy dinner.I have slacked some though. Lots of water! Changig yor eating habits will help a lot. Once you get in the habit you will be good to go. I also have been working out using my Wii Fit for at least 30 minutes a day , sometimes I may do an hour. You can even just walk for 30 minutes around your neighborhood to get your 30 minute exercise in. I started back in January my goal is to loose a total of 20lbs right now I'm almost at 15lbs.

I would start with keeping a journal of what you eat. Sometimes it helps to see what you're taking in as well as how many times a day. Definitely do portion control. Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day. This is a personal thing for me....I like to do resistance training (lifting weights) rather than cardio (I only do 5 to 15 mins 5 times a week). Cardio only works while you're doing the activity and leaves you feeling hungry afterwards. Resistance training burns calories after you have worked out because of the muscles tearing down and rebuilding. Most importantly remember that healthy weight loss is losing 1 to 2 lbs a week. I've lost 11 lbs since the end of February. 20 more to go!

Breakfast: Lower sugar Peaches n Cream with flaxseed

Snack: handful of raw almonds unsalted

Lunch: Lean Cusine or a meat (protein) and vegetable or a sub from subway

    Snack: ?

Dinner: Lean Cusine or Lean Pocket or a health cereal or fruit salad w/ Fage yogurt

    multi-vitamins, calciium, fish

You have to take multivitamins in order to keep your energy up. Water, water, water is a must. As much as i hate to drink water i force myself to drink it. not only will it help you to lose weight but your skin will be clear. I am currently doing weight watchers and i can say that the points plus really works. I get a hour lunch break and what i do is I walk for 30 minutes and then i eat a small salad and eat fruit. Another way to help lose weight that is fun is I do the Micheal Jackson video on nintendo Wii. Not only is it fun but you are exercising at the same time. I have lost 15lbs so far.

HerbaLife was what I was doing before I got pregnant. (My doctor took me off of it as she doesn't want any pregnant woman in her care on a diet other than a common sense one) In July I fit in a 16W wedding dress sample. In December, I was drowning in it. It's an all natural dietary plan that is tailored to the individual. It's the easiest diet to be on particularly because it doesn't restrict you. IE Weight Watchers has their point system and despite the floating points you feel guilty when you go over. If you are on HerbaLife and decide to have a slice of chocolate cake at your sister's birthday party-NO GUILT!
