160 days till the big Day!

Amanda, on April 27, 2019 at 11:46 AM Posted in Planning 0 14
So I'm at 160 days, what are some things you still needed to do at this time? I feel like its going to fly by now and I'm not sure if I'm ready for that. I have a few projects to work on for decorations.

Have you booked all your vendors? How much DIY are you doing? Schedule a spa day week of your event ahead of time! Don’t forget to treat yourself!

174 for me! By now you show have all of your major vendors nailed down and deposits made. I'm waiting on one myself, and have my flower quotes out between two different florists. Other than hair and make up (I'm waiting on emails back they seem to be a bit lacking in this area).
Other than that I'm just getting how I want the decorations down and ordering the materials. Still need to find a decent place to get good draping (50 ft) for the venue.
Other than that it's all going very nicely over here! On my #weddingdressdiet and plugging along on that!

Hey date twin! At this point, all my major things are done, so I'm just in wedding limbo with planning. Been checking and rechecking everything. I honestly feel like there is simultaneously too much and too little time until the wedding. I'll be glad when this period is over and there's more for me to do and work on again

All my vendors are booked. Just need to finish the last payment for the photographer. Most of my decorations are DIY. I'm doing wine bottles with the tops cut off to plant succulents in. Ive collected other bottles that I'm going to have flowers in and ive ordered utensils and napkins I need to wrap together with twine. I didnt even think of spa time that a great idea I will do that! Thank you!

    Hey there!

    Woohoooo! I'm at 167!

I feel like I have hit a planning wall as well! There's not much more I can do. SO I know once I take my mind off of it, it's just gonna zip by!

I have my ceremony and reception booked, save the dates sent, invites ordered, cake deposit down, flowers bought, hair and make up paid for, photography done, dress done, shoes, honeymoon booked, centerpieces (DIY) done, favors planned and ordered, wedding bands done, and my FHs suit appt is next month. I've asked my flower girl and ring bearers, my bridesmaids are looking for their dresses, and a million other small things are done!

Doesn't seem like there's much more to do!

I have my vendors done. I'm ordering dried lavender off etsy, and I talk with the lady I'm ordering it from she says it stores well and to get it about a month before. So I'll do that then ive been looking at more things to decorate with. I have also found a nice material for like the arch way and draps I would recommend for you to look there too! Ordered some samples they should be here soon and I will decide what color will go best. I'm on that wedding dress diet too but I feel I need to crack down on myself a little better. I feel I cheat eat to much....

Where did you find the draping material? On etsy? I'd love to be able to get samples before I bought it!
Yeah... this diet. I've been kind of watching since January but was cheating way too much. When the FH comes home from work we tend to go out to eat or to get togethers a bunch and that diet goes out the dang window. So the past two weeks I've buckled down and am all serious now. I know how I want to look, I know how go get there. Will power all the way! I am definitely worried about when he comes home on the 6th though.. his bday is the 10th, mine is the 19th.. so I know we'll be celebrating... must....stay....strong! Lol😂

As of today I am 139 days away!

Start thinking through your look for the day! What shoes will you wear for the ceremony? The reception? What do you want your hair to look like? Will you wear a veil? Will you have anything special in your hair? What jewelry will you wear?

Once you have your general look selected, you can pick out what your girls will wear!

Other things to consider if you haven't done them already:

    -Gift registries

    -Rehearsal dinner venues

-invitation research... depending on what your plan is, I would start with an idea of a general look/feel. We went with minted and were able to utilize the "Buy now, personalize later" function of minted and take advantage of a 20% off sale!

-Bridesmaid dresses! Mine ordered from David's Bridal last weekend and today and their expected delivery date is August 12th and August 19th... I'm sure they will come in sooner, but things to keep in mind!

-Cake and food tastings! depending on your meal type, your venue may need to know guest's food selection before you can give a final head count, if you are ordering invites, you would need to know the options to put on the RSVP cards... this one kind of snuck up on us!
