So an ice cream float bar. Lots of music from the era, and dinner should be diner food like burgers, and fries. Maybe have some pink ladies jackets made for the girls, at least for photos...

Check Pinterest! That’s where I got most of my ideas for my 1930/1940s style wedding.

Definitely not burgers for dinner like a PP said. This is still a wedding not a BBQ

If you want to take any of these ideas...we did a late 50s/early 60s "Rat Pack" swanky theme (indoors would have been better/easier but we already booked winery. Gorgeous but harder to fit our theme). We did DIY decor. Ask me any questions!

Invites & labels from Zazzle (look for matching stamps!). Our colors were black and white, with a splash of polka dot: my dress, cake ribbon, invite suite, STD (not shown).

Hubby came up with idea of blending Twilight Zone storytelling with early 60s nightclub theme to explain our wedding reception and dress code (photos of guests were fantastic!!)

Kayla, Frankie Valli would be totally fun and different!

Lol. It didn't start as tea length. Check out before pic (below). It's by Moonlight Bridal. They have other tea lengths but this polka dot one might not be avail anymore. Smiley cry Got at Ferndales Bridal in Orange/Tustin, CA. The owner cut off the bottom to custom-make my sleeves!

FYI, cheap bridal accessories on eBay and Amazon. It's almost a year so I can't remember but something like: veil ($12), gloves ($7-$10), pearl earrings ($5?), had the necklace already.

Check out customized shoes at Birds of Prey . Customize style, heel height, color, add bows. I added a polka dot bow to mine. Not uber comfy but I HATE shoes other than sneakers so I'm not the best judge. Smiley laugh
