Hello! I’m getting married 10/7/23 and struggling with making a timeline for my wedding. We are having a 30 min ceremony and doing no first look. We are having the wedding at the church and having sandwiches after the ceremony. We are doing pictures right after the ceremony then lunch/cake/speeches. Please help! Signed, a struggling bride 1Pm wedding timeline no first look. No dancing 1

1pm guests are arriving and getting into their spots while you guys are finishing up last touches on getting ready
    1:30-2 cermony begins
2-2:30/3 pictures (however long you want your pictures to be )3/3:30-5 eat, give speeches, hang out, etc (it doesn’t have to be till 5 just till however long you want )

If the ceremony is billed at 1pm, you want to tell people 1pm. Many guests get to a venue 15-30 minutes early, so putting an earlier time means some guests are waiting an hour.

Are you having any sort of cocktail hour or are you planning to do photos after the sandwiches? You want to have some refreshments for guests as they wait for you to take photos, especially for a 1pm ceremony, which means guests would not have eaten lunch prior to your wedding.

    1-1:30 ceremony

1:30-2:30 refreshments and light snacks for photos

    2:30-whenever for sandwiches and mingling

Or you can go straight to sandwiches and mingling and do your photos after.

Perfect! So you can take pictures while guests engage in that and then join them for the sandwiches.

This is a good timeline. Take as little time as you can for photos. What are you serving while photos are being done? There should be some sort of refreshment during photos if you're doing that before you serve the sandwiches.

It might make sense to do the sandwiches/mingling first then depart for photos after around an hour.

His family asked us if they can bring cocktail dinner type food. We will have juice/water/coffee during photos being taken and have some yard games

Ok good. You're responsible for the guests during photo time, so it's important to have drinks and snacks available.
